Chapter 399 -398: Castorice’s Story Session (1)

“Wuuu······”

“Wuuuuuuu—!”

“Wuu··· cough cough cough—!”

At the entrance of Castorice’s house, Sunday squatted on the ground drawing circles while grieving in pain. Dan Heng kept gently patting his back beside him: “It’s fine, it’s fine. It’s not that big of a deal.”

A question mark slowly appeared above Castorice’s head. She looked at Dan Heng with inquiring eyes: What happened?

Dan Heng shrugged: “I don’t know either.”

—This was a lie.

Because when Dan Heng looked at Sunday right now, it felt like seeing the old Blade··· no, more accurately, it should be the old Yingxing.

Back when that guy discovered that the person he was net-dating as Baiheng was actually Dan Feng’s alt account, his first reaction was no different from Sunday’s. Sigh, love is truly terrifying.

However, Dan Heng had no intention of being a scumbag like the old Dan Feng. He did not want to raise another Blade on the train crew who would chase him around trying to cut him down.

“Miss Castorice, by the way, on our way here we also saw other Chrysos Heirs.”

Dan Heng told Castorice about seeing Aglaea and Anaxa arguing on the way, then asked: “I always thought Chrysos Heirs should be comrades who have fought bloody battles together, but between them······?”

Castorice nodded: “Those two are indeed like that.”

“It’s normal that you don’t know about the relationship between those two since it’s your first day in the holy city.”

Castorice said seriously: “First of all, the Titans behind them are [Reason] and [Strife] respectively. They are naturally incompatible existences.”

“Furthermore, the two of them are each other’s exes.”

Hm?

In an instant, Dan Heng, Sunday, and even Stelle in her dream subconsciously perked up their ears (fun fact: the brain can still receive external sounds while dreaming).

( Far away, Aglaea and Anaxa suddenly sneezed at the same time)

The following is the content Castorice recounted about this pair of ill-fated lovers:

Zzzzt—

“Huff— finally completed.”

Aglaea casually tossed aside the welding gun in her hand, looking at the “Tailor” before her with burning eyes as she burst into loud laughter: “Ah hahahahaha—! The truth of the world, I have unraveled it!”

“This will be a great creative revolution for Amphoreus! Using a body of steel to replace flesh and blood in battle—even Castrum Kremnos will find it hard to resist!”

Aglaea pressed a button on the Tailor: “Tailor, activate!”

Tailor: “······”

Tailor: “Lady Aglaea has peerless beauty! Lady Aglaea can make fish sink and geese fall!”

Aglaea: “Ah hahahahahaha—! Although it’s all nonsense, this is good. It means it has its own thoughts now!”

Tailor: “Eliminate human tyranny! The world belongs to Amphoreus!”

Aglaea: ?

Tailor: “Eliminate organic lifeforms! Long live inorganic life!!”

With that, the Tailor flew out of the laboratory and shouted: “Master Aglaea, being your servant has its limits, so I quit being a servant!”

Whoosh—!

Bang bang bang!

The Tailor flew around wildly inside the Tree Court and even smashed quite a few statues.

Fortunately, the Tailor was still in the experimental stage and Aglaea had not equipped it with any weapons, so it could not cause any substantial damage for the time being.

“Tch······”

Seeing this scene, Aglaea subconsciously wanted to chase after it, catch the Tailor, and disassemble it for rebuilding. However, she was only a scientist and did not possess the powerful strength of the other Chrysos Heirs.

Even doing a little more physical labor than usual would leave her gasping for breath, let alone catching a Tailor that could fly through the skies.

Slap.

At this moment, Aglaea, who was chasing the Tailor with all her strength, suddenly tripped over a stone. At the same time, a tall figure happened to appear ahead, so she uncontrollably fell toward that person······

The two collided just like that. In Anaxa’s arms, Aglaea looked up in confusion. Their eyes met, and the air fell silent for a moment.

·····

“This is at least the plot of a youth romance novel from more than ten years ago.” Stelle suddenly interjected with a comment. (Note: She woke up from the alcohol because she heard overly intense gossip.)

“Is it that old?” Castorice asked in confusion.

Dan Heng: “It is, it is.”

Sunday: “But this kind of plot is still enduring. Even now, Penacony still sells this kind of classic memory bubbles.”

“Alright then.” Castorice sighed: “I’ll revise the story of how Teacher Aglaea and Anaxa met again.”

A question mark slowly appeared above Stelle’s head: “What do you mean? Were those parts you just made up?”

Castorice said very seriously: “How can a historian’s work be called making things up? This is—this is inference!”

“They themselves refuse to talk about it, so I can only piece the story together bit by bit from other documents and passersby, then add a little of my own logical thinking! That’s all!”

“And I think what I wrote··· er, inferred, should be pretty close to the actual facts······”

Castorice took out a notebook from her desk and read from its contents:

“Aglaea lightly sniffed the scent of the young man so close to her. For a moment she was slightly dazed. It was the smell of sunlight, flowers and plants, and giant beasts. Her eyelashes trembled slightly as she looked into the young man’s emerald-like eyes, and a strange feeling suddenly emerged in her heart.”

“Anaxa lowered his head to look at the girl who had suddenly thrown herself into his arms. This god of slaughter who could fight ten thousand alone on the battlefield was actually thrown into confusion by this sudden situation. The girl in his arms was noble, beautiful, and romantic, like a golden fairy.”

“‘Woman, you have caught my attention.’ He said this.”

“Aglaea’s fair, jade-like face showed a faint, hard-to-detect blush. She gently pushed away the man before her, tidied her slightly disheveled collar, and pretended to be calm as she said: ‘···Hmph, I didn’t pay attention to the road just now. Sorry to trouble you, but I still have things to do. I’ll thank you properly next time.’”

“Seeing the girl about to leave, Anaxa suddenly grabbed Aglaea’s slender, white wrist. Under her astonished expression, he reached up and plucked a dry leaf from the top of her head: ‘Heh, woman, you really are in a sorry state, aren’t you?’”

“Aglaea······”

Stelle crossed her arms in front of her chest and made a big X: “Stop!”

“If I keep listening, Aglaea and Anaxa are going to team up and kill me!”

“The latter part is completely your own wild imagination, right, Castorice?”

Stelle was even a bit incoherent. She stammered and repeated: “And ‘Aglaea threw herself into Anaxa’s arms’······ Castorice! Read fewer of those outdated light novels in the future!”

“If you’re going to read, at least read some new-era stories! Isn’t ‘tragic lovers’ good? It has abusive romance filled with love and hate, rich character development, and it can resonate with readers······”

“In short, don’t write romance stories about those two aaaah!! My brain!”

Castorice stroked her chin and asked seriously: “Tragic lovers?”
