What if your Honkai Star Rail was like this?

Chapter 362: Chapter 362: Investigation

”Hm? What just happened?”

Stelle slowly came back to her senses, her golden eyes full of confusion.

She had seemed to space out just now. It was clearly only an instant of strangeness, yet it felt as if someone had time-stopped her for more than ten days. During that time she seemed to have heard something about ”viewing” and other inexplicable words... Must have been an illusion?

But anyway, better to focus on what was in front of her first.

”Stelle, are you okay?” Bailu beside her asked worriedly. ”I saw your complexion doesn’t look quite right?”

”Ah? Oh, I’m fine. I’ve just been through too much.” Stelle waved her hand and said something that left Bailu feeling utterly baffled.

Then she cleared her throat and began speaking to herself: ”Previous plot summary: Because Floating Smoke escaped some time ago and destroyed the Luofu’s ’Creation Furnace,’ the fragments of the Great Heliobus [Blaze] scattered across the Xianzhou. To protect the Luofu, the ghost-hunting squad led by Huohuo embarked on a journey to capture the Heliobi.”

Bailu: ”Stelle, what are you talking about? Who are you talking to?”

However Stelle did not answer her and continued: ”When capturing the enraged Heliobus that had possessed Miss Lingsha, Bailu, out of necessity, asked me for help. After I arrived at the scene, I used the ’sensory sharing’ feature of the Matrix of Prescience Ultima and, in a ’one-thousand-enemy-damage-eight-hundred-self-damage’ way, sent myself, Lingsha, and Fu Xuan to the hospital.”

”And coincidentally at that moment, when I went out I collided with the inexplicably sad Qingque. According to the law of momentum, a smaller-mass object colliding with a larger-mass object will definitely rebound, so Qingque was knocked to the ground by me. A story concerning the beautiful future of three people is now in my hands...”

Bailu: ???

”Qingque, are you okay?”

Stelle held Qingque’s small hand and pulled her up from the ground, looking worried: ”Aren’t you a General? What major event could make you so panicked?”

”Could it be that the Lord Ravager brought people to attack?”

Qingque smiled self-mockingly: ”General? Heh, I’m probably the most useless General in Luofu history, right?”

”Short stature, mediocre figure, even the subordinates who have always been loyal to me secretly betrayed me... I-I-I can’t do anything at all!”

”I shouldn’t have been in the car; I should have been under the car!”

Stelle listened in complete confusion: ”Ah? What happened?”

Qingque endured the pain and told Stelle what she had seen.

Stelle raised an eyebrow: Hm? Something’s off. This plot... why does it feel so familiar?

The following is Stelle’s imagined scene:

Fu Xuan was held in Huohuo’s arms, her small face shy and guilty, not even daring to look at Qingque. Biting her lip, she said, ”S-sorry, Senior Qingque. This is all... just Helm Master’s mission.”

”Actually I’ve long been Helm Master’s person. Only she can bring me happiness.”

And Qingque looked pained: ”I-I really am a useless superior. Fu Xuan, since being with her makes you happy, I can only silently bless you.”

Huohuo: ”Hehehehehe~”

”Eek~!”

Thinking of this scene, Stelle could not help but shiver. Get that cuckold plot away from me! I’m a pure-love supporter, pure-love, understand?

(At this moment, a silver-haired girl far away in some corner of the galaxy suddenly sneezed)

—”Whoa, I didn’t expect Helm Master Huohuo to be so bad!”

At this moment, Bailu beside her finally could not listen anymore and said indignantly: ”Isn’t this a textbook third-party fox spirit?”

Smack!

Stelle flicked Bailu’s forehead without mercy: ”Kids shouldn’t talk nonsense. She’s originally a fox person.”

”Besides, this matter needs to be viewed dialectically.”

Stelle said calmly: ”Qingque, I think you’re just too close to the situation and confused. You’ve been overly concerned about this matter and trapped yourself in it.”

”W-what do you mean?”

Hearing this, Qingque was slightly stunned. The cunning and scheming she usually had as a General was gone; her expression was as clear as Bailu’s.

Stelle smiled and said: ”I heard from Bailu that Huohuo and the others went to capture a Heliobus?”

”Yes.”

”Then isn’t that it?”

Stelle clapped her hands and said seriously: ”In my opinion, Huohuo and Fu Xuan must have been possessed by a Heliobus! That’s why they would do such outrageous things.”

Qingque instantly understood. ”You mean...”

”Exactly.” Stelle smiled. ”One Helm Master and one General’s trusted aide—this is a very serious matter. It must be thoroughly investigated, checking them inside and out without missing anything, to prevent leaving any hidden dangers.”

”I saw that the monks on Edo Star drive away ghosts this way.”

Qingque nodded repeatedly, stroking her chin: ”That’s great. This way not only will Fu Xuan be mine, even Huohuo will be mine too. Hmph, let’s see if she dares oppose me again. Hehehehehe.”

Bailu beside them: ? Although it sounds like they’re talking about serious business, why does it feel so weird?

Qingque truly deserved to be someone who could become a General. Just minutes ago she had been immersed in the pain of lost love, but after Stelle’s few words, she instantly regained her drive and confidently charged back.

Stelle quickly pulled Bailu along: ”Let’s go see what’s going on.”

”Oh oh.”

...

”It’s over. How am I supposed to explain this to Senior Qingque? Senior Qingque, my heart really only has you, wuuu—”

Fu Xuan sat frustrated on the hospital bed, covering her small face with both hands, feeling dejected. Beside her, Huohuo also looked headache-stricken. Things had reached this point; even if she was slow, she should have understood.

Sigh, what is all this? It seems in the future I need to change the way I care for female subordinates, otherwise being misunderstood like this will be troublesome.

Thinking of this, Huohuo could not help but feel guilty: I haven’t been a big sister for many years, but my charm is still as captivating as ever. Sigh...

Bang!

At this moment, the door was suddenly kicked open. Qingque stormed in aggressively, the corners of her mouth raised at forty-five degrees. ”Huohuo, I’m here to investigate you!”

Fu Xuan / Huohuo: ?

Qingque crossed her arms and declared: ”In the name of the General, I announce: I suspect you have both been possessed by a Heliobus, causing you to lose your minds and commit such heartless acts!”

”Accept my investigation!”

Hearing this, Huohuo blinked: ”Qingque, are you okay? Investigate me? Ber, what’s there to investigate about me?”

Qingque: ”Of course it’s investigating whether you were possessed by a Heliobus.”

Huohuo was so angry she laughed: ”Where do I look like I was possessed by a Heliobus?”

Qingque shook her head: ”I think you have a problem, but you’re acting like you don’t, which means you have a big problem!”

”Isn’t this just abusing public power for personal revenge?!”

”Me, abusing public power for personal revenge?”

Qingque sneered, immediately stepping forward until she was almost pressed against Huohuo, their eyes meeting. ”Whether you have a problem or not, this General will find out after a thorough investigation.”

”H-how do you want to investigate?”
