Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 60: Chapter 56: Dismantling a Car Barehanded

A group of people lay on the ground, with blades scattered everywhere.

Aside from the two who were knocked out, the rest were either clutching their arms or holding their calves, screaming in agony.

Their screams were so heartrending that they could make anyone who heard them shed tears.

Fury Baby was dumbfounded, ”Where’s Deputy Manager Lu? I just saw him surrounded by this gang, so how come they’re all on the ground now, and Deputy Manager Lu is nowhere to be seen?”

Manager Zhou’s eyes widened with realization and quickly said, ”Could he have been taken hostage?”

Vice Manager Lin decisively commanded, ”Capture these guys and call the police. Say the Black Society has taken someone from our company!”

The security team’s expressions were incredibly grave. Each of them, listening to Vice Manager Lin, prepared to bypass the cars blocking the road and go in to apprehend the gang members.

At this moment, Xiaozhao got out of the car, his legs still trembling uncontrollably.

He raised his voice as much as he could, ”The boss is fine. He just took down this whole gang by himself and then chased after them north. It seems there’s a gang leader over there.”

What?

Deputy Manager Lu took down over ten gang members by himself?

Manager Zhou was dumbfounded.

Vice Manager Lin and Fury Baby were stunned, thinking they might have misheard.

The remaining group of company security personnel also found it hard to believe.

No way, over ten gangsters wielding blades were taken down by Deputy Manager Lu alone?

Honestly, it was really hard for everyone to believe.

But the situation before them seemed to leave no room for doubt.

If not, how could over ten gang members wielding blades all be wailing on the ground?

For a moment, everyone was extremely shocked, thinking how powerful Deputy Manager Lu must be.

Manager Zhou, Fury Baby, and Vice Manager Lin, along with twenty to thirty security personnel, were shocked by Lu Li’s fierce combat abilities.

Vice President Du was not only shocked by Lu Li’s fierce combat abilities but also felt a tinge of fear rising within him.

While Vice President Du had never met Yuan Chu, he had always been the one providing the funds, leaving Yaoyao to get things done. He knew this gang was definitely brought in by Yaoyao.

Over ten gang members.

And they were all armed with blades!

And Lu Li knocked them all down by himself?

Vice President Du shivered all over, thinking about how vicious and ruthless this guy was. If this kid found out he was the one who brought them in, wouldn’t he peel his skin off?

No way!

This kid must not find out I was the one who brought them here!

Vice President Du, filled with anxiety, looked in the direction Xiaozhao had pointed, secretly hoping Lu Li wouldn’t catch the gang leader.

Not only was Vice President Du looking north.

Fury Baby, Manager Zhou, and Vice Manager Lin, along with twenty to thirty security personnel, had almost the same reaction.

Everyone wanted to know if Lu Li had caught the gang leader.

As soon as people turned their heads, a shocking scene suddenly unfolded before everyone’s eyes!

...

In the BMW.

Yuan Chu and Miao Feng, along with others, were watching the fight.

At first, they saw over ten gang members surround Lu Li, each of them smiling over there.

Miao Feng chuckled, ”I told you scaring someone is quick. Look, they’ve surrounded him. I bet in a minute or two, this kid will be so scared, he’ll be begging for mercy on his knees.”

Yuan Chu was equally grinning as he boasted, ”My brothers here are not to be trifled with...”

But before he could finish speaking, they saw one of the old Russians suddenly fall backward.

Yuan Chu exclaimed in confusion, ”What happened to the old Russians?”

Miao Feng was also stunned, ”Did he suddenly get sick or something?”

Yes, they were too far away to see the details clearly.

Hearing Miao Feng say that, Yuan Chu initially thought that some hidden condition of the old Russians had suddenly acted up.

However, what happened next was beyond everyone’s expectations in the BMW!

Lu Li snatched Huangmao’s knife!

Lu Li kicked Old Fatty off his feet!

Lu Li turned, and two flashes of silver light swiftly brought over ten people to the ground!

Yuan Chu, Miao Feng, and the other two felt a chill down their spines.

No one expected Lu Li to be so fierce, but he turned out to be ”superhuman” as well!

All four in the car were instantly drenched in sweat.

Yuan Chu knew tonight’s plans were falling apart and urgently shouted, ”Drive! Quick! Let’s get out of here first!”

But just as he shouted, he saw Lu Li leap over a car in an instant, closing in on them at a speed beyond human limits!

Yuan Chu was scared out of his wits, ”Drive! Step on it! What the heck are you waiting for?”

Miao Feng also saw Lu Li charging at them like a spectral fury, nearly causing him to jump out of his skin. He also shouted, ”Step on it, man!”

The driver finally snapped out of his terror, hurriedly starting the car to escape.

Unfortunately, in just those few brief moments, Lu Li had already reached the other side of the greenbelt.

Then, Yuan Chu, Miao Feng, and the other two saw Lu Li actually ”fly” up, directly jumping over the greenbelt!

All four of them were scared out of their wits!

The driver frantically stepped on the gas, and the car shot out in an instant.

”It’s all good now!”

”Once the car starts, we’re safe!”

”No matter how fierce he is, he shouldn’t be able to keep up.”

Yuan Chu, Miao Feng, and the other two were still in shock.

They hadn’t even had a chance to celebrate properly.

Suddenly, the driver saw through the rearview mirror that Lu Li was charging at them like a missile, sticking right to the back of their car!

...

Meanwhile.

Manager Zhou, Flaming Baby, and others just turned their heads in the direction Xiaozhao was pointing, and saw a flash of bright light in front of them. A white BMW suddenly leaped out from the greenbelt.

This was nothing out of the ordinary, and no one was particularly surprised, but the next moment, Vice Manager Lin, twenty or thirty security guards, and Vice President Du saw under the streetlights a faint human figure rapidly chasing the BMW at car-like speed!

”What the hell!”

”Someone running almost as fast as a car?”

”No way, is this for real?”

The security guards were in an uproar.

Xiaozhao, Manager Zhou, and Flaming Baby couldn’t believe their eyes and rubbed them, thinking they must be mistaken.

But when they rubbed their eyes, they realized the person running as fast as a car was indeed Lu Li, and their eyes went wide!

Holy shit!

Is this Deputy Manager Lu?

Are you even human?!

Flaming Baby, Vice Manager Lin, Vice President Du, and the others were all dumbfounded, thinking he must be on something running as fast as a car!

By this point, everyone was already shocked enough, thinking they wouldn’t be fazed by anything else they might see next.

But before that thought even settled, they witnessed an even more astonishing scene.

The BMW shot out instantly for a hundred or two hundred meters.

Although Lu Li was keeping close behind, he couldn’t catch up.

Suddenly, two flashes of silver darted out, piercing the left rear and right front tires.

Bam!

Bam!

The sound of two tires exploding suddenly echoed in the night sky!

With both tires blown, the BMW immediately lost control and skidded towards the roadside.

Crash, a loud noise followed.

Everyone watched with wide eyes as the BMW hit the greenbelt and came to a stop.

At this point, it wasn’t anything noteworthy. Many people didn’t even notice the flash of silver, wondering why the car suddenly skidded.

What happened next left everyone dumbstruck!

The BMW had just stopped when Lu Li leaped forward like an arrow, jumping onto the roof like Captain America in a Marvel movie.

Bam!

Even from two or three hundred meters away, everyone could hear the sound of the roof being dented underfoot.

But that wasn’t all. Lu Li seemed to go berserk, pounding the roof with his fists, excitedly shouting, ”You walking soft sisters’ coins, get out of here!”

What the hell are ”walking soft sisters’ coins”?

Manager Zhou, Flaming Baby, and others hadn’t even processed the term when they saw Lu Li’s hands, like hardened steel, throw a punch down, then grab and tear off the roof’s metal sheets, tossing them onto the road like garbage.

Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam!

The loud noise continued four or five times.

Vice Manager Lin, Vice President Du, and the twenty or thirty security guards watched in shock as Lu Li tore the roof off the BMW with his bare hands!

Yes, he actually tore it off!

The roof completely disappeared.

The doors were also smashed and shattered by Lu Li’s terrifying brute force.

Everyone could vaguely see a few people inside the car!

Xiaozhao was left with his mouth agape, completely stunned!

Flaming Baby was even more dumbfounded, finding it hard to believe anyone could disassemble a car with their bare hands!

Let alone the two of them; surveying the whole scene, Manager Zhou, Vice Manager Lin, Vice President Du, and the twenty or thirty security guards—every single one of them were shocked to the point of being slack-jawed!

With the internet so widespread now, who hasn’t seen impressive feats?

Like someone chopping bricks with bare hands.

Or someone throwing cards into a wooden board.

These are already amazing, enough to surprise anyone.

But they’ve never seen someone like Lu Li who could dismantle a car with bare hands!

Xiaozhao: ”...”

About a dozen thugs: ”...”

Vice President Du and others: ”...”

Everyone present was left dumbfounded, as if watching a sci-fi movie.

Suddenly, Manager Zhou sharply turned his head towards Flaming Baby, ”You wanted us to save him? Exactly who is the one that needs saving here?”
