Chapter 2860 - 2861: Meeting The Darkwood Fae Family

-----

Although in this world they were her aunt and cousins, in the universe beyond, Agatheina and Alice were her wives, while Alucard and Jeanne were her children. Of course, upon merging into this realm, they had gained new memories, blending seamlessly with their parallel selves.

”Ah, itʼs nice to meet you,” Kireina said with a gentle smile. Warmth filled her heart at the sight of these familiar faces.

Alucard and Jeanne were clever and disciplined children, so pretending they had never met Kireina came easily. The implanted memories helped too, sparking genuine surprise in their eyes. It was all wonderfully intricate.

Both hid shyly behind Alice and Agatheina, looking utterly charming and innocent.

”Haha, donʼt be afraid. Sheʼs your cousin,” Agatheina giggled, stepping toward Kireina. ”Come here! I have so many memories of holding you as a tiny baby. Iʼm overjoyed to see you again. Youʼve become such a graceful young lady, and so beautiful too!”

Kireinaʼs ”aunt” pulled her into a fierce hug, showering her face with kisses. Embarrassment flooded Kireina, especially after all she had endured. She had grown so serious lately, yet this affection shattered her composed facade.

”A-Auntie, youʼre kissing me too much...” Kireina protested, cheeks burning beneath the red lipstick marks.

”Fufu, I simply couldnʼt help myself!” Agatheina laughed softly. ”You resemble my dear sister so much now that youʼve grown...”

Agatheina spoke with true feeling. Like Mammon, she now possessed a full life in this world, complete with cherished memories that bound her to Kireina in fresh, heartfelt ways. The original Agatheina must be delighted.

”Is that so?” Kireina sighed in relief as her enthusiastic aunt finally released her. ”Iʼm glad to see you too. You do look a lot like my mother... from the portraits and photos Iʼve seen. Ah, Alice—”

”Excuse me, itʼs my turn now, Mother,” Alice interjected playfully, nudging Agatheina aside with familiar jealousy. She swept Kireina into her arms, lifting her effortlessly. Now far taller than the teenage girl, Alice covered her face with golden kisses. ”Iʼm so happy to finally see you again, Kireina. Youʼre still absolutely adorable.”

”A-Ah... yes, Iʼm glad to see you too, Alice...” Kireina mumbled, overwhelmed by her two wives—now aunt and cousin—still vying for her affection. ”Please donʼt fight over me...”

”Big sis!”

”Hmm!”

Alucard and Jeanne could barely contain the word ”mommy.” They clung to her legs instead, and Kireina knelt to hug them tightly. Seeing their mothers relax seemed to ease their shyness.

Like their mamas, the children peppered her face with eager kisses.

”Hehe, you two are so precious! Alucard and Jeanne, right? I bet youʼre the little treasures of the clan. Do the elders treat you well?” Kireina asked warmly.

”They do!” Jeanne beamed.

”Grandma and grandpa are kind,” Alucard nodded. ”I love them.”

In this world, they had loving grandparents—the current Matriarch and Patriarch of the Darkwood Fae Clan in Germany. Knowing the children enjoyed a gentle childhood eased a quiet worry in Kireinaʼs heart.

”Hahaha, Iʼm so relieved you love her already,” her father said, clearly pleased everything had gone smoothly. ”Shall we have dinner together? Arenʼt you hungry?”

”Oh yes, some delightful blood sounds perfect,” Agatheina agreed with a nod.

”Iʼm fine with anything, Uncle,” Alice added.

”Very well, girls, prepare whatever they desire,” Kireinaʼs father instructed. The maids and Araña quickly arranged a lavish feast for everyone.

Over dinner, Kireina learned more about the Darkwood Fae Clan in Germany—their daily lives and traditions.

According to Agatheina, they dwelled in grand tree houses nestled within ancient Darkwood Trees, surrounded by towering Blood Spirit Flowers and other mystical plants.

Naturally, they inhabited their own Spiritual Realm, similar to a divine Heavenly Realm yet smaller and more intimate, perfectly suited to the clan.

The Clan Matriarch held supreme authority. The Darkwood Fae followed a matriarchal structure where women wielded greater power and were generally far stronger.

Girls were born far more often than boys. Alucard was one of only four males among over thirty living members—the rest were women.

In ancient times, their ancestors had been an all-female species of Fae. After intermingling with Dhampirs, males occasionally appeared.

Yet males suffered no mistreatment. They were cherished as rare treasures, fiercely protected, and showered with affection.

Alucard already had several girls his age smitten with him. They confessed constantly, vying to become his girlfriend. The poor boy struggled to turn them down gently at such a tender age.

”Wow, youʼre incredibly popular, huh?” Kireina giggled.

”Y-Yeah...” Alucard sighed. ”I donʼt really like it though...”

”Hahah, well, men receive abundant care and love in our clan due to their rarity,” Agatheina explained with a warm smile. ”Anyway, we came mainly to visit and spend time with family. Eventually, we hoped to invite Kireina to our Spiritual Realm—perhaps with her father too—for a short vacation. It would help her reconnect with her roots.”

”That sounds wonderful. Why not?” Kireinaʼs father agreed eagerly.

”Sure, Iʼd love that,” Kireina nodded, smiling softly.

”Oh! We also brought plenty of gifts!” Agatheina announced brightly. ”Right, Alice dear?”

”Yes... Mother,” Alice replied, still adjusting to the reversed roles despite years in this world.

Both women flicked their fingers, summoning ornate magical treasure boxes that floated before them. When opened, they revealed a dazzling array of gifts for Kireina.

Magic rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, potions, rare materials, scrolls, and grimoires filled with Arcane Path techniques, Spiritual Cultivation Methods, and powerful Magic spells—all incredibly valuable.

”Oh wow, these are amazing!” Medea exclaimed, eyes sparkling. ”If youʼd like, Kireina-sama, I could teach you how to use them...”

”What? Who gave you permission? I, her beloved auntie, will handle that!” Agatheina declared, jealousy flaring as she glared at Medea.

”I... was only trying to be helpful, Lady Agatheina,” Medea replied with a strained smile, irritation clear in her voice. ”Why must you be so rude?”

”Hah? Youʼre not her auntie, are you?” Agatheina teased with a triumphant grin. ”Iʼm her blood-related, cherished auntie. Naturally, sheʼll prefer me, right dear?”

”I... uh, sure,” Kireina agreed hastily. ”Please donʼt argue...”

”H-Hahah, I think this isnʼt our place anymore,” Doctor Victor Frankenstein chuckled nervously.

”I agree. Letʼs head elsewhere,” Wasp nodded. Both vanished in an instant teleport.

”Gah?! Wait! Donʼt leave me!” Kireina cried inwardly, desperate to escape. Yet she remained trapped amid the affectionate chaos—surrounded by ladies competing for her attention while her father nodded approvingly at everything.
