Epic Of Caterpillar

Chapter 2851 - 2852: Cosmic Battle

-----

Kireina smiled warmly at her mother instead. She refused to back down—not after coming this far.

”Mother, how long have I yearned to see you in person...! Now that Iʼve shattered the Boundaries of my own Existence and let Defiance fully bloom, I will not let you die. Watch what your daughter has accomplished!”

RUMBLE!

”...!”

”...?! ”

”...!!! ”

Allies and enemies alike stared in awe at Kireinaʼs supreme cosmic power. Her Heart Essence spread everywhere, forming a star-sized Domain shaped like an endless garden of red, black, and purple roses entwined with thorny vines.

Behind her loomed a giant crimson moon, bleeding endlessly, eclipsing the black star of misfortune that had been forced upon her to make her suffer.

Yet that very suffering had become her greatest strength.

Repentant Enlightenment revealed the truth to her.

Defiance gave her the will to fight back.

Her Path fused both, propelling her to unprecedented heights.

Her Soul surged with overwhelming power. Within the distant Plane of Souls—far from all other planes yet connected to them—countless white clouds gathered around Kireina.

This was the essence of Heart Cultivation. Each cloud represented the Souls of those she had forged deep connections with.

People she loved more than anything. People she fought for and risked everything to protect.

Her siblings cherished precious ones too, people they loved and battled for. Yet none had endured the trials Kireina faced.

Through hundreds of thousands of reincarnations, every memory had flooded back after she struck the Star of Misfortune, allowing Defiance to blossom fully within her awakened Heart.

”Heaven and Earth Defying Soul Heart Style.”

”First Form.”

”Crimson Eclipse Bloom – Countless Forms Echo!”

Kireina adapted the First Form of her original style. Her Demonic Sword grew to immense size, cleaving through the Cosmic Beasts unleashed by the Overseers.

The beasts—giant jellyfish-like creatures and other bizarre mollusks—were slashed apart one after another, exploding into cosmic dust.

SLAAASH!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

”Impossible...!”

”What is this?!”

”Ridiculous!”

The Overseers gaped in shock at her feats. Their leader clicked his tongue, realizing his foolish subordinates stood no chance against her. He rushed forward to confront her himself.

”So youʼre one of those delusional Heart Cultivators who believe a miserable life grants the right to defy Heaven and Earth Cosmic Cultivators, arenʼt you?!”

”...!”

Kireina gritted her teeth as the Overseer charged, swinging his cosmic crimson katanas. Shockwaves of energy obliterated nearby star systems, triggering countless catastrophes.

”Insects! All Heart Cultivators are lowly bugs from slave races. Know your place, foolish woman!”

He attacked relentlessly. Each strike drew a red line through space, and every swing multiplied into hundreds of crimson slashes assaulting Kireina from every conceivable angle.

Each blow carried the weight of a Domain, forcing her back steadily.

Yet.

”Incredible swordsmanship, but itʼs far from enough.”

”What?! You dare...!”

The man roared. Cosmic stars swirled around him, forming dozens of fiery crimson rings. A pair of demonic horns sprouted from his forehead.

”I have wandered the Void Sea for millions of years and bathed in the Cosmic Blood Oceans of Primordial Purgatory. I battled Primordial Demons in that Realm and conquered entire Universes to sell them! I am the Scarlet Rogue, Felrak! You, a nameless nobody, think you can challenge my might?!”

”Yes, I do.”

Kireina manifested a second sword—one forged of blinding eternal sunlight. Half her body armored in her radiant Khepri Transformation, the other in demonic plating.

She radiated a strange, otherworldly power Felrak had never encountered. With both swords, she swung up, down, left, and right—parrying his slashes before striking his ribs, head, legs, shoulders, and arms.

”W-Wha...!”

Born an Overseer, Felrak had wielded cosmic power from the start. He never faced the hardships Kireina or any mortal endured.

His ”mastery” of the Crimson Blood Ocean Purgatory Blade Style—stolen from a Mad Primordial Demon he assassinated long ago—was clumsy, like a child flailing a kitchen knife.

”Careful. You might cut yourself, child.”

”Child?!”

The rogue lost control, shifting into a half-cosmic beast form resembling a crimson lion. His speed surged, each step blindingly fast.

He now matched Kireinaʼs pace, dodging her strikes and countering fiercely.

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

Yet Kireinaʼs focus remained unshakable. Her eyes gleamed as she read his movements and dissected his technique.

Meanwhile, Veronica and Ervas each battled one Overseer alone, while Chaos, Abyss, and Kosmos teamed against another. The trio could overwhelm theirs by isolating and ganging up, and Veronica and Ervas—far stronger—handled theirs one-on-one with ease.

They had planned carefully because five Overseers remained, their leader vastly superior to the rest.

But with Kireina here, balancing the scales, they could fight freely without restraint.

”Gyahahahaha! Who do you think you are, lowly scum?! If youʼre not on our level, you have no chance! Your friend is strong, but so what? The boss will slaughter that bitch!”

Despite their immense cosmic power, they spoke like common street thugs.

Ervas stood silently, his stoic white wolf-like face unmoving as the cosmic titan attacked. The Overseer swung a massive cosmic axe while countless Cosmic Beast Souls gathered around him, surging with power.

”Cosmic Soul Weapon – Beast Soul Star Axe!”

SLAAASH!

A devastating cleave struck Ervas, followed by dozens of rapid strikes too fast to counter. The Overseer laughed triumphantly as wounds covered his foe, cosmic blood and dust spilling everywhere to form a small nebula.

”Heheh! Now letʼs see what abstract mess youʼve become—Huh?”

As he waved his giant hands to clear the stardust, Ervas emerged completely unharmed. His white body shimmered with golden scales.

He wasnʼt even bleeding!

Then whose blood was that...?

”Kuaaaahhh?!”

The Overseer screamed in terror. His own hands and arms were ravaged with deep slashes and bruises. Every attack he unleashed on Ervas had rebounded onto himself.

”W-What...! What did you do?”

”Nothing.”

Ervas swung his claws forward, each glowing with the power of White Void—the combined inheritance of his parents passed to their son.

”White Void Claw – Star Severing.”

Each strike could split stars effortlessly. With six claws, Ervas unleashed countless assaults.

The Overseerʼs cosmic armor cracked, then shattered into fragments.

Ervas charged, becoming a blur of gold and white light.

Desperately, the Overseer released all his power.

”YOU DARE...! I AM AN OVERSEER!”

”You are a species born with cosmic power, existing outside our universe. None of your strength was ever earned. Now feel what itʼs like to face someone who forged their own through blood and tears.”
