The two Demon-Hunter teams set off for the core of the Burrow again.

Three months later.

After passing through more than twenty large and small burrows, they arrived at the largest burrow in the Burrow according to the crystal ball information, the Wolfspider Burrow.

“T-there is a blizzard in this burrow? This can’t be real!”

Behind Grimm, a Demon-Hunter with fangs and pale skin gazed with astonishment

The Demon-Hunter stretched out one hand to feel the falling snowflakes while using the elemental light on his magic staff to observe the burrow named Wolfspider Burrow.

Alxa’s members stopped and formed a team with Grimm and his team members.

One of the level-two Demon-Hunters looked at the surprised Demon-Hunter in Grimm’s team and said calmly, “The area of this burrow is no lesser than the area of a large World Fragment, so it’s normal for it to have its own set of world rules here.”

Alxa nodded, looked around at the snowstorm in the Wolfspider Burrow and said, “The size of this burrow can already be considered as an independent world with a complete ecosystem of its own. If we used a metaphor, the passages that we passed through earlier were just like passing through cracks of different worlds.”

Meanwhile, Grimm was standing on top of Thousand-eyed Carcinus, carefully observing the traces of intense battle left in the burrow. Countless potholes, explosions and craters extended all the way to the endless edge of the burrow that coudn’t be seen with the naked eye.

He could imagine what a fierce battle the previous Demon-Hunters had gone through in this burrow.

Almost all of the vegetation in the snow was destroyed, and some small snow mountain ranges were swept away.

Some several-meters deep and hundreds-meter wide ravines formed on the frozen ground, causing deep cracks in all directions.

As Grimm looked closely, he noticed that the shape of the ravines looked like palms and foot prints.

Although no bodies of sorcerers were found, Grimm saw some broken pieces of sorcerer equipments and robes. Presumably, the area was cleaned by other sorcerers and Mechanical Marionettes after the battle.

Meanwhile, there were countless bodies of soul slaves along the way.

Scarlet, dark green, mixed…

All colors of blood were dyed on the ground and frozen again, as if it was some mischievous master piece by nature, yet cruel and tragic atmosphere lingered in the air.

Of course, even more on the ground were the corpses of a type of gigantic big spider, their numbers were uncountable. It seemed like they had an intense fight with the invaders of their world.

These black-and-gray spiders were named as Wolfspiders by the Demon-Hunter pioneers.

Large Wolfspiders had a body size of more than ten meters wide. They looked ferocious and terrifying. The small ones were only ten centimeters long, looking like a dinner plate. Their bodies were densely covered on the ground at the areas where they battled with the Demon-Hunters.

Some Wolfspiders were torn apart by Demon-Hunters, while some were eaten half and thrown away by soul slaves.

As there were just too many Wolfspiders here, even the soul slaves couldn’t finish them all.

These fully-grown Wolfspiders were covered with black bristle-like fur, their had patterns on their round bellies that seemed to be howling. They had six short yet powerful legs, with barbs all over them. A pair of giant fangs occupied half of their head, appearing grim and cruel.

Grimm ordered Thousand-eyed Carcinus to land on the ground of the burrow.

Clack, clack…

In the sound of metal friction, Nairo manipulated her black chains like a flexible giant hand, and lifted the corpse of a six-legged wolf soul slave which was torn in half, and lifted another body of a Wolfspider that was penetrated by thunder sorcery.

The Wolfspider was about four meters long, and was considered as a level-one creature, in fact a strong one among level-one creature.

“Not poisonous,” said Nairo casually after examining the fangs and black bristle of the Wolfspider.

Then, Nairo even reached into the Wolfspider’s body with her black chain. In a series of disgusting gulping sound, she carried out an on-site anatomical analysis on the Wolfspider.

Meanwhile, the plump sorceress behind Grimm took out a plate-like sorcery equipment that was emitting light green rays. She placed a small Wolfspider on the equipment and started observing carefully.

Through previous contact, Grimm learnt that the plump sorceress was the only one among the fourteen Demon-Hunters who studied Sound Wave Sorcery.

After a while, the plump sorceress took out a crown-shaped sorcery equipment and placed it on the green ray of the plate. Moments later, her expression slightly changed as she discovered something.

Grimm stated at the crown-like sorcery equipment and recalled some past events.

The equipment was called the Dialysis Crown, Grimm once owned it during his sorcerer-apprenticeship period. However as he became more familiar with Dissimilation Sorcery, he rarely used them anymore.

It was a kind of common auxiliary prop similar to the Tweeting Twig.

The plump sorceress said in a gloomy tone, “Bad news. Not only these Wolfspiders possesses strong sound wave attacks, it is the rare Thought Echo, which has the ability to cause disturbance, hallucination, hypnosis and a series of other effects on their targets.”

“Squeak…”

On the sorceress’s head, the little squirrel holding a pine nut squeaked several times.

Thought Echo!

Including Grimm, several other Demon-Hunters’ expressions changed.

For Elemental Sorcerers, what scared them the most was this kind of bizarre sorcery that could interfere with their thinking and judgment.

On the contrary, for Anatomy Refinery Sorcerers, whether they were a Wild Instinct Anatomy Refinery Sorcerer, or an Arcane Energy Anatomy Refinery Sorcerer, or an Elemental Surge Anatomy Refinery Sorcerer, they all had exceptionally great resistance to this kind of sorcery.

“I found it! This Wolfspider was definitely a level-three creature when it was alive!”

Thousand meters away, Lou Linman shouted while holding her glowing magic staff. Beneath her was a rare withered body of a giant Wolfspider of more than ten meters huge.

The withered body of the Wolfspider was slammed to the ground like a fly by a giant palm, a shape of the giant palm could be seen on the ground around the Wolfspider’s corpse.

Needless to say, the Black Isotta must be the one who gave such a fatal blow to that Wolfspider.

A level-three creature!

Everyone’s expression grew serious and flew one after another to Lou Linman’s direction, sensing the remains of the Wolfspider.

It was a level-three creature indeed. Although it was slightly weaker than Thousand-eyed Carcinus, but it was far more powerful than most level-two creatures.

All Demon-Hunters couldn’t help but look at each other.

No wonder the Battle Command specially marked this burrow in the crystal ball information. The previous burrows weren’t even on the same level with this burrow at all.

After the Wolfspider Burrow, the Demon-Hunters would officially enter the second half of their journey to the Burrow.

Meanwhile, everyone couldn’t help but sighed.

The Black Isotta was a powerful Stigmata Sorcerer after all, being able to kill such powerful creature so easily like killing a fly.

The shape of the palm on the frozen rocky ground looked very clear from above.

Alxa held the magic staff in her hands tightly and said to Grimm cautiously, “I think we better stick together as a team to make it safely through this burrow.”

All of them felt more relieved with a level-three creature like Thousand-eyed Carcinus around.

Grimm’s expression was serious too. After scanning the tragic battlefield, he said, “According to the information of the crystal ball, the pioneer Demon-Hunter team led by Black Isotta spend a month at this burrow and searched almost every corner. However, we can’t be sure if there will be any remaining Wolfspiders left. By estimation, once the number of such Wolfspider with mind control ability exceeds a hundred…”

A hundred was Grimm’s estimation provided that Thousand-eyed Carcinus was around to give its full support.

Of course, Thousand-eyed Carcinus would be fine, at least it would be able to escape successfully. However, the Demon-Hunter team might be downsized.

Just like that, in full of cautiousness, the Demon-Hunters flew along the route where the previous sorcerers left denser traces of damage.
