The Fantastic Little Farmer

Chapter 84: Chapter 84: Are You Here to Be Funny?

”A group of people just went to my factory to cause trouble! There’s a lot of them, and they demanded that I get over there immediately. You’re the only one who can save me!”

Seeing Zhang Yun, Zhang Youcai immediately thought of his four disciples, who were said to be Sanda champions. ”Could you call those guys from earlier...”

Zhang Yun interrupted him. ”Just give me a brief rundown of the situation. They are prominent figures in the city’s Sanda and martial arts circles. I can’t have them act as thugs.”

”It’s all because of the land!” Zhang Youcai sighed.

Because the matter was urgent, he quickly explained the situation. His factory was located on the edge of the town, on land belonging to Gao Village. In the past, they had signed a multi-decade contract. Now that the town had developed, the land’s value had naturally increased. The people of Gao Village were no longer happy with the rent rate from over a decade ago.

They had caused a fuss about this a couple of years prior, but the village head at the time had respected the contract. The factory had hired a few more people from Gao Village and distributed some welfare items like washbasins, teapots, and cotton quilts, which had smoothed things over.

Later, Gao Village changed its village head. Zhang Youcai didn’t have a good relationship with the current one, who refused to acknowledge the old agreement. He claimed that Zhang Youcai had tricked Gao Village with an incredibly low price back then and demanded a new contract based on the current market rates.

Zhang Youcai naturally refused. It wasn’t just that the rent was more expensive now; it also destabilized his initial investments. The other party definitely wouldn’t sign a long-term contract again. They would likely want to renegotiate every year or two, and if he couldn’t meet their demands, he would have to relocate the factory.

However, believing that harmony brings wealth, Zhang Youcai still made a concession and decided to compensate Gao Village with a lump sum of cash. This was one of the reasons why he had gone back to dig up the antiques in his ancestral tomb to sell.

Unfortunately, in the eyes of Gao Village, this just meant the factory was highly profitable. They became even more insistent on renegotiating the contract and formed new plans for the rent.

During this back-and-forth, young men would occasionally show up to cause trouble. They wouldn’t admit that the village head sent them, nor would they admit to being from Gao Village, but everyone understood what was going on.

Reaching this point in the story, Zhang Youcai smiled bitterly. ”This money was originally raised to deal with this exact hurdle. But their appetites are hard to satisfy. The reason I decided to partner with you so quickly was that I was preparing for the worst and paving another way out.”

”You can take legal action,” Zhang Yun said, a bit puzzled.

Zhang Youcai was speechless. ”Gao Village isn’t trying to take me to court; they’re forcing me to sign a new contract. And as for these troublemakers, I don’t have the ability to catch them in the act or gather evidence. The town police station only has so many officers; can they really keep an eye out for me around the clock?”

Zhang Yun was still hesitating, but Zhang Youcai couldn’t wait any longer.

”Yun! You have to save me. All the treasures we just collected were transferred to the factory first. I was waiting to arrange a time to ship them out. Now... I’m afraid they heard the news and came specifically targeting those items!”

Zhang Yun frowned. If those things were smashed or robbed, those were his belongings! ”Let’s go take a look!”

Zhang Youcai hurriedly started the car.

Xu Jin and the others had driven over in one car and were still at Zhang Yun’s house. All they had to do was tell them to follow along.

Zhang Yun had a general idea of where Zhang Youcai’s factory was, but he had never been there and didn’t know exactly what they did.

Now, sitting inside Zhang Youcai’s car, they slowly drove into the factory grounds. They immediately heard a deafening VROOM as numerous motorcycles collectively revved at them, quickly circling around to surround the car.

”Boss Zhang! When are you going to sell your factory to me? I have the money ready. As soon as you give the word, we can just sign the contract.”

A young man wearing a helmet shouted from beside the window.

Normally, Zhang Youcai wouldn’t dare get out of the car. Given the situation here, the factory workers wouldn’t dare step forward either. Everyone was just making a meager salary; they weren’t highly paid bodyguards! The security guards were all elderly men with zero combat ability.

Zhang Yun noticed that the two employees who had helped earlier were trapped in their car and also didn’t dare get out. It looked like the goods hadn’t been touched yet.

”Let’s get out,” Zhang Yun said, unbuckling his seatbelt.

Zhang Youcai was a little nervous. ”Shouldn’t we wait until your disciples arrive? They should be right behind us.”

Xu Jin and the others were driving an ordinary car and weren’t familiar with the roads, so they had fallen a bit far behind.

”I’m here,” Zhang Yun said.

Zhang Yun pushed the door open and stepped out. Zhang Youcai had no choice but to bite the bullet and follow suit.

Just then, Xu Jin’s car also pulled in. Seeing that they were surrounded, they quickly parked and rushed over.

”What are you doing!” Ma Yuming took the lead and charged over, with the other three closely behind.

There were about seventeen or eighteen of these young men on motorcycles. They surrounded the car holding the antiques and Zhang Youcai’s car, while others guarded the main gate and the entrance to the factory building.

Seeing that Zhang Youcai had brought five young people with him, the one who had just spoken immediately raised his hands. CLAP CLAP.

”Everyone, get over here!”

”WOOHOO!”

They immediately gathered around. Over a dozen motorcycles formed a tight, multi-layered formation, surrounding them inside and out.

”Boss Zhang, I’m here to talk business with you. There’s no rule saying I can’t ride a motorcycle here, is there? There’s no rule saying I can’t bring a few more people to discuss the factory sale, right?”

As soon as the young man spoke, he seized the moral high ground, putting on an act of intimidating them without breaking any laws.

After Ma Yuming and the others came over, they immediately gathered around Zhang Yun. Seeing this setup, they could easily guess what was going on. All four of them grew excited!

They were just lacking an opportunity to show off in front of their master, and these hooligans had delivered exactly what they needed on a silver platter!

Zhang Youcai, on the other hand, felt a bit weak in the knees. He would only drag them down, and his other two employees didn’t dare get out of the car. It was up to Zhang Yun’s group of five to deal with eighteen people!

Moreover, they were all on motorcycles. These youths had no martial ethics; if they maniacally rammed their bikes forward, they would completely overwhelm them!

Zhang Yun stepped in front of him. ”I am from Tianxin Village. Zhang Youcai is my business partner. These four behind me are my disciples. They are the strongest Sanda fighters in the city!”

”HAHAHAHA...”

Everyone had been listening to the first half of his words, but upon hearing the latter half, the entire crowd burst into laughter.

”Are you here to be a fucking clown?”

”Boss Zhang, where did you find this joke?”

”These are your disciples, the strongest Sanda fighters? Well, excuse me, that makes me the strongest Sanda King in the whole country! HAHAHA!”

”Don’t talk nonsense! Didn’t you see they have a chick with them? Maybe she’s the strongest Sanda fighter in bed? Can you beat her?”

”Oh man! Now I’m a little scared. I can give her a two-leg handicap!”

”And only use your third leg?”

Amidst everyone’s raucous laughter, Zhang Yun’s expression hadn’t changed much. However, when he heard them sexually harassing Fu Yudie, his face immediately turned icy!

Fu Yudie burned with fury in the back. In the training arena, people usually only looked down on her for being a girl; no one had ever blatantly harassed her like this. She had beaten down everyone who had looked down on her, and right now, she just wanted to bash some heads in!

”I’ll kill them!” Zhao Ye clenched his fists.

”Hold on a second! Wait for the master’s orders!” Xu Jin reminded him in a low voice.
