The Fantastic Little Farmer

Chapter 68: Chapter 68: I Will Rid the People of Evil!

The boy looked completely innocent. ”I don’t know! What does it have to do with me? I was just trying to be nice by telling you.”

Zhang Yun took out his phone. ”I’ll give you two minutes to make a call. Either I get my bike back along with a thousand bucks, or I call the police right now.”

The boy froze, clearly not expecting Zhang Yun to be so direct.

”One minute and fifty seconds left,” Zhang Yun said calmly.

Hearing the countdown, the boy hurriedly ran to the side and quickly made a call. Less than a minute later, he returned.

”Come with me!”

Zhang Yun followed him through an alleyway between two houses, took a few turns, and arrived at the edge of a river.

There stood a young man in his late teens with dyed blonde hair—Yellow Hair—accompanied by several other boys around seventeen or eighteen. The boy who had led the way immediately ran over to them.

Zhang Yun’s motorcycle had been pushed to the riverbank. Yellow Hair rested one foot on the pedal.

”Bro, someone stole your bike just now. We chased them down, but the guy got away. We managed to save your bike for you, though.”

”And?”

”This new bike of yours must be worth seven or eight thousand, right?” Yellow Hair dangled a cigarette from his lips, and someone immediately lit it for him. ”Since we helped you prevent a loss, you should give us a little reward.”

”I just said I’d get my bike back along with a thousand bucks. What do you think about that?” Zhang Yun stepped closer.

Yellow Hair blew a smoke ring in his direction. ”If it were an old bike, or a cheap one, a thousand would do. But this is a brand-new bike. You’d better make up your mind quickly. Otherwise, if my leg happens to tremble and it falls into the river, any damage won’t be my problem...”

Zhang Yun smiled. ”Then how about three thousand for returning my bike?”

Yellow Hair’s eyes lit up. ”Usually, for something like this, we’d ask for at least half its value as a reward. After all, stepping up to do the right thing carries a lot of risk these days, so we deserve it. But since you’re so sensible, three thousand it is!”

Zhang Yun took out his phone and walked right up to them. Yellow Hair pulled out his own phone and gestured for the others to surround Zhang Yun.

”Fuck! You dumbass, do you even know how to use a phone? You just requested a payment instead of sending one!” Yellow Hair immediately started cursing when he saw the three-thousand-buck payment request pop up on his QR code screen. ”Fucking rich idiot!”

”With your IQ, I don’t think you even need a phone. Yours looks pretty old anyway, so let me take it off your hands!”

The other teenagers jeered, preparing to snatch Zhang Yun’s phone as well.

Zhang Yun chuckled. ”You’re the dumbasses here. When I said I wanted my bike back and a thousand bucks, I meant you paying me a thousand as compensation. But since you insisted on giving me three thousand, I’m naturally going to oblige!”

”You’re fucking asking for it!” Yellow Hair instantly flicked his cigarette butt at Zhang Yun’s face, while the other youths lunged to grab Zhang Yun’s shoulders.

Zhang Yun unleashed a slap. Before Yellow Hair could even react, he was smacked to the ground! As for the others trying to grab him, Zhang Yun easily floored them with a single hand.

The gap in skill was obvious!

When Zhang Yun fought Xu Jin, Zhao Ye, and Ma Yuming, he had felt that Sanda experts were nothing special. They were so slow that he even had time to learn their techniques mid-fight. But compared to these punks, Xu Jin and his group were truly professionals. Beating up Yellow Hair’s gang was as effortless as beating up kindergarteners.

The boy who had delivered the message and led Zhang Yun here was the youngest. He hadn’t gotten a chance to attack just now, so he was the only one still standing. Seeing everyone else beaten to a pulp, he immediately tried to bolt.

”Halt!”

At Zhang Yun’s command, he trembled violently, not daring to take another step.

”Get down!”

The boy hurriedly tossed the can of Red Bull in his hand and dropped to the ground.

”Stealing a bike?

”Extortion?

”You’re not learning anything good at your age!”

Since they were on the riverbank, the ground was soft mud. Zhang Yun wasn’t worried about accidentally killing them, so he stepped on their heads, rubbing their faces into the dirt!

A chorus of agonized screams erupted!

They were used to running rampant. The isolated students they extorted for a few dozen bucks never dared to speak up out of fear of retaliation, let alone tell their teachers or parents. These punks had never expected a day like this to come!

”B-Boss... This is our first time, really! We won’t ever dare do it again...” Yellow Hair didn’t dare move. Seeing the miserable state of his lackeys, he quickly begged for mercy.

Zhang Yun walked over to a nearby willow tree and snapped off a branch. He resorted to using the branch because he was afraid he might actually cripple them if he kept using his bare hands and feet!

”Your first time?

”Then I’ll make sure you remember it well!”

As he spoke, Zhang Yun lashed them with the willow branch, drawing out continuous shrieks of pain.

Yellow Hair was a bit surprised. It seemed Zhang Yun was only beating his lackeys and sparing him.

”Boss! It’s not our first time, but it’s our first time stealing your bike! I promise we’ll never do it again...” He definitely didn’t want to be made to remember it well.

Under Zhang Yun’s relentless lashing, the teenagers trembled and rolled on the ground. He carefully controlled his strength; the thin willow branch only inflicted superficial wounds without damaging their bones or tendons, but the pain was excruciating!

”You’re the boss, right?”

”Yes—wait, no! They’re the bosses...” Yellow Hair had no idea how this guy played his cards. ”Oh, right!” He quickly held up his phone. ”I can’t pay the three thousand, otherwise I definitely would. Look, my balance and my cards can’t cover it. Look at my balance... I only have a few dozen bucks left. We were forced into this life of crime!”

He had sworn his loyalty, played the victim, and his crew had already taken a beating... Surely this guy was satisfied now?

”Eat dirt, you little shit!”

Zhang Yun hadn’t touched him earlier because he was saving a special treatment just for him! Grabbing his dyed blonde hair, Zhang Yun didn’t just rub his face into the ground—he forcefully shoved mud and grass straight into Yellow Hair’s mouth!

Yellow Hair immediately began to whimper and scream!

Right after, he felt his back being frantically lashed from top to bottom! Before he could even finish wailing, Zhang Yun kicked off his shoes and whipped the soles of his feet!

Only a few minutes had passed from start to finish. Holding the willow branch, Zhang Yun looked down at them. ”If you even dare to extort me, it’s obvious how you treat the high school students in town. Today, I’m ridding the people of this menace!”

They had been beaten brutally. Hearing Zhang Yun’s words, they thought he was about to deliver a fatal blow and frantically begged for mercy.

”We won’t do it again!”

”We’ll never dare do it again!”

”Please let us go!”

Zhang Yun lightly dragged the willow branch across their necks, giving them the terrifying sensation that they were about to be beheaded.

”I’ll give you one chance. I’ll come back and ask around in a few days. If I find out you’re still doing bad things, I’ll destroy your junk and turn you all into modern-day eunuchs!”

They all shuddered at his words! Even though not all of them had experienced the real deal with a woman, they were all well-acquainted with their own right and left hands. Becoming eunuchs meant losing all that pleasure!

”We won’t do it again!”

Only Yellow Hair, whose mouth was still stuffed with mud and grass, couldn’t speak.

Zhang Yun pointed with the willow branch. ”Are you going to jump into the river yourselves, or do I have to kick you in?”

The river wasn’t deep. Jumping in would just cover them in muck; it wouldn’t drown anyone. They quickly scrambled up and stumbled toward the water, hurling themselves in.

Ignoring the dirt in his mouth, Yellow Hair hurried to jump in after them. If he waited to be kicked, he might end up plunging in headfirst!

Zhang Yun watched them flounder in the muddy river before finally getting on his motorcycle and leaving.

But what he didn’t know was that on the second floor of a nearby building, someone was peering through a gap in the curtains, recording the entire incident on their phone!
