The Fantastic Little Farmer

Chapter 71: Chapter 71: Call Me Sister Xiaoyun

Hauled inside the house, Tang Zhiwei hurriedly apologized to Yang Xiaoyun.

”I’m sorry! I judged you through my own petty mind, I am truly sorry! I... I’ll head back first and pick them up another day...”

With Zhang Yun here, how could he dare to stay any longer? If that happened a few more times... one slip of the hand and he’d be finished.

”Is that okay?” After speaking to Yang Xiaoyun, Tang Zhiwei asked Zhang Yun for permission.

Seeing that Yang Xiaoyun remained silent, likely not wanting to see the man at all, Zhang Yun nodded. ”Mind your attitude toward Teacher Yang in the future. You two have nothing to do with each other anymore!”

”Yes, yes...” Tang Zhiwei wiped his sweat, stumbled out of the house, and quickly started his car to leave.

”I’m sorry you had to see that...”

Yang Xiaoyun had been holding her head high in anger, refusing to show any weakness in front of Tang Zhiwei. But now that he was gone, she couldn’t help but sob the moment she spoke.

Zhang Yun quickly grabbed some tissues from the table and handed them to her.

He didn’t know how to comfort a crying woman, let alone have any life Experience regarding divorce. He just stood there, entirely unsure of what to do.

Yang Xiaoyun was sitting and sobbing while Zhang Yun stood in front of her. At this height, his hand naturally rested at the level of her head, so he casually stroked her hair.

”It’s okay, it’s just a small matter...”

Yang Xiaoyun had merely been sobbing, but this gentle pat of comfort made her break down. WAAH! She couldn’t hold back and burst into loud tears.

Zhang Yun instantly felt awkward. Did that have the opposite effect?

He didn’t know what to do. Suddenly, Yang Xiaoyun leaned forward, hugged his thigh tightly, and wept!

Zhang Yun somewhat understood. She was probably venting her emotions, wasn’t she? Perhaps she always had to pretend to be strong in front of her children and parents.

He didn’t say anything more. He merely stroked Yang Xiaoyun’s head and patted her back, letting her cry her heart out.

Through her tears, Yang Xiaoyun mumbled and poured out all the grievances and frustrations in her heart. Unfortunately, between her clinging to his thigh and her sobbing voice, Zhang Yun couldn’t clearly make out a word she was saying.

After a while, Zhang Yun’s initial bewilderment and awkwardness faded. As he calmed down and watched her cry, he realized that this scene felt a bit off...

If her ex-husband were to turn back now and see Yang Xiaoyun hugging his leg tightly from the doorway, he would probably get the wrong idea again and fly into a rage, right?

Earlier, he had only been thinking about comforting her. Now, thinking about the visual and the angle, Zhang Yun’s senses suddenly sharpened. He could feel two large, soft mounds pressing against his leg, his pants soaking wet from her tears, and the rhythmic heaving of her shoulders as she sobbed...

Zhang Yun had to take a deep breath. He dug his thumbnail into the pads of his other fingers, relying on the slight pain to keep himself composed.

If this continued, a certain part of him might end up ”smacking” Yang Xiaoyun in the face...

After another moment, whether because she had finished venting or because she felt something, Yang Xiaoyun let go of him and stopped crying.

”I’m sorry... I’ve embarrassed myself in front of you again...” Her tear-streaked face looking as delicate as a blossom in the rain, Yang Xiaoyun used a tissue to wipe away her tears.

Zhang Yun smiled and comforted her. ”It’s good that you cried it out. Always look forward.”

”Your pants...” Yang Xiaoyun covered her face in embarrassment. ”It’s too shameful to look at...”

”Huh?” Zhang Yun hurriedly covered himself, backing away to sit on the side. ”Well... maybe I’ve never been hugged by a girl like this before, so I got a little excited...”

Hearing his explanation, Yang Xiaoyun felt even more mortified. Still covering her face, she quickly clarified, ”I meant... I cried so much that I soaked your pants. I’m so embarrassed... I really can’t bear to look. What were you thinking?”

”COUGH, COUGH...”

For a moment, neither of them spoke. Their breathing became slightly uneven.

”Um... Teacher Yang, I’ll be going back now...”

Zhang Yun spoke up to take his leave. Tang Zhiwei had already misunderstood them earlier, claiming they were having an affair. He was taking the fall for a crime he hadn’t even committed...

He could easily handle Tang Zhiwei, but what if Yang Xiaoyun’s parents and children came back and misunderstood?

Yang Xiaoyun lowered her hands and tried hard to compose herself. ”Going out like that... isn’t very decent. How about I blow it for you first?”

”Ah? That... that’s not a good idea, is it?”

Zhang Yun suspected he had misheard. Was happiness arriving this suddenly? His mouth said it wasn’t a good idea, but his body was very honest, his blood already boiling with excitement.

”What’s the big deal? It’s my fault anyway.” Yang Xiaoyun immediately stood up. ”Come over here.”

Seeing her walk toward the bathroom, Zhang Yun took a deep breath. ”Ex-husband bro, this has nothing to do with me!” he thought. ”I didn’t expect this either. How could I possibly refuse?”

Zhang Yun walked to the bathroom door and saw Yang Xiaoyun bending over, searching for something under the sink...

He suddenly felt a pang of regret. He shouldn’t have beaten up Yellow Hair and the others so harshly earlier. After all, it was Yellow Hair who created this opportunity for him!

Yang Xiaoyun pulled out a hairdryer and plugged it in. ”Come a little closer...”

”Is this how... it’s blown?” Zhang Yun was on the verge of tears!

He thought, ”I knew something this good wouldn’t happen! I was really overthinking it!”

Yang Xiaoyun pursed her lips into a smile. ”Yes. Don’t tell me you wanted to take them off to blow them dry?”

As she spoke, her face flushed red, and she handed over the hairdryer. ”Dry them yourself!”

Zhang Yun took the hairdryer, and Yang Xiaoyun quickly hurried out of the room.

Zhang Yun looked in the mirror, feeling like he could breathe fire at any moment. ”What the hell is filling my brain!” he thought. ”Can’t I be a little more decent? I need to cool my jets, right now!”

Since the hairdryer was already set up, he couldn’t just not use it, right? Otherwise, she would instantly know he had been having dirty thoughts!

After briefly blow-drying the wet spots, Zhang Yun quickly walked out. He couldn’t stay in this place for long! It was far too easy to entertain thoughts he shouldn’t have.

”That fast?” Yang Xiaoyun had just been about to go upstairs to change her clothes. Having just reached the second floor, she heard the hairdryer stop. Without time to change, she quickly trotted back down.

Watching her descend the stairs, accompanied by waves of bouncing, voluptuous curves, Zhang Yun guessed that the idiotic grin of a complete pervert was already plastered across his face...

”The weather is hot. They’ll dry quickly once I start riding my bike anyway.”

Yang Xiaoyun nodded. ”It’s still early, so I won’t keep you for dinner.”

”No need, no need! You’re too polite, Teacher Yang!”

”Don’t call me Teacher. I didn’t even teach your class for very long back then. Just call me Sister Xiaoyun.”

”Okay, Sister Xiaoyun!” Zhang Yun immediately agreed.

”Earlier... thank you so much,” Yang Xiaoyun thanked him earnestly.

”Uh...” Zhang Yun scratched his hair, unsure of what she was referring to. Her crying?

”I mean regarding Tang Zhiwei... You intimidated and warned him, yet you also provided ironclad proof that we just recently got back in touch, protecting my reputation.”

Although Yang Xiaoyun had been agitated and angry earlier, she had followed them to the door and watched the entire process. Zhang Yun hadn’t just relied on brute force; he had used both courage and strategy. That brought her a great sense of relief.

”It’s only right. You only invited me in to educate me; I couldn’t let anyone misunderstand,” Zhang Yun nodded.

Yang Xiaoyun didn’t deny it. It had been an emergency at the time, and Zhang Yun hadn’t answered her voice call. Afraid he would ride right past, she had no other choice but to invite him into her home.

Zhang Yun pushed his motorcycle and comforted her softly, ”Don’t overthink it. An upright person doesn’t fear a crooked Shadow!”

Yang Xiaoyun glanced around. There was no one in the courtyard, so she couldn’t help but lower her voice and ask, ”You’re the one who shouldn’t overthink! When I told you to blow your pants earlier, what were you thinking?”

”COUGH...”
