Daily Intelligence System: Don't Kill Me, Honey!

Kill!

The Demon Slayer Monk finished a gesture, and his subordinates immediately drew their knives, ready to finish off these two Daoists.

”Hey, drag them out. Can’t you see the Great Buddha is eating right now?”

The guards under his command promptly responded to his words.

Following the order, they waved and said, ”Come, drag them out, drag them out!”

Seeing this, the old Taoist immediately shouted, ”Great Buddha, spare my life, spare my life, Great Buddha, he, he is just a child! Kill me instead, just kill me!”

The guard saw the old Taoist being so uncooperative, and immediately stepped forward to seize him and started walking out. At this moment, the little Taoist shouted, ”Let go of my master, let go of my master.”

”Stop!”

Seeing that the little Taoist was struggling fiercely, the Demon Slayer Monk suddenly ordered his guards to stop. The guards were momentarily stunned, but held the little Taoist down while looking at the Demon Slayer Monk.

The Demon Slayer Monk looked at the little Taoist and asked, ”Do you know why I’m going to kill you?”

Little Taoist: ”You are all bad people! Bad people don’t need reasons to kill!”

On the other side, the old Taoist pleaded, ”Great Buddha, I beg you, he’s just a child. He won’t speak out about your affairs, and besides, who would believe a child’s words?”

The Demon Slayer Monk listened, glanced at the old Taoist, and said, ”You think I’m planning to kill you because I want to keep it a secret, right?”

The old Taoist replied, ”N-no, of course not...”

”If not, then what?”

The Demon Slayer Monk asked the old Taoist. The old Taoist was momentarily speechless, as he had been intimidated by the monk’s power. If he were to speak the truth, he would definitely say it was indeed for secrecy that they needed to be killed.

The Demon Slayer Monk looked at the old Taoist and remarked, ”Seems like you still don’t understand.”

Then he turned to the little Taoist and said, ”Don’t think I didn’t notice you spat twice in the noodles you made earlier.”

”Kid, even in death, you should know why.”

The Demon Slayer Monk said coldly. Upon hearing this, the little Taoist angrily said, ”You robbers entered our Taoist Temple and wanted to kill my chicken. It was your just deserts that I spat in your food.”

Upon hearing this, the Demon Slayer Monk laughed even more joyfully: ”It’s my just deserts, so what do you have to say for losing your life over a little spit?”

The little Taoist said, ”Nothing to say. If there’s another chance, I’ll spit again.”

The Demon Slayer Monk laughed: ”Amitabha Buddha, sow good causes, reap good results; sow evil causes, reap evil results. The Buddha did not deceive me, drag them out.”

Upon hearing this, the guards dragged them out.

The old Taoist was still pleading for the child, but the little Taoist firmly said, ”Master, do not plead with such wicked people.”

Soon the two were dragged out, and at this moment, a guard beside the Demon Slayer Monk asked, ”Master, you knew the noodles had spit in them. Why did you still eat them?”

The Demon Slayer Monk responded, ”To sow evil causes and reap evil results. If I don’t eat, the evil cause isn’t sown, how can I justifiably kill him?”

Upon hearing this, the guard seemed to somewhat understand, and at this moment, the Demon Slayer Monk said, ”You stay here and guard. As for me, the Great Buddha, I’m going to see Lord Prime Minister. It’s time to leave this barren land!”

”Yes!”

The guards immediately approved.

The Demon Slayer Monk then walked towards the woodshed not far away.

Outside the Taoist Temple at that moment.

”Let go of my master, don’t push me!”

”Ah!”

”You little whelp, daring to bite people. Let’s see if I don’t finish you off!”

”Ah, dear officials, my disciple is young and naive. Please spare him; I beg of you. I still have two silver taels on me. Please take it to have a drink.”

Chen Jie and the others had just approached the vicinity when they heard these intense shouts.

They exchanged glances and then quickly moved towards that direction, soon arriving in front of a small Taoist Temple. In the dim light, the three of them saw a few guards pressing two Daoists down in a wasteland, preparing to cut off their heads.

At this moment, a government soldier took out the silver taels from the old Taoist’s robe and said, ”It’s not that we brothers are heartless, but that monk is too formidable. We have no choice.”

”It’s a job for survival. When you reach the underworld and see the Yama King to file a complaint, blame the monk then.”

”Enough, what are you waiting for? Kneel down.”

A nearby guard, impatient with words of chatter with the condemned, kicked the two to kneel on the ground. Then he drew the long knife from his waist and started gesturing at their heads.

Seeing this, Chen Jie said, ”Save them first and ask questions later.”

Upon hearing this, Zhao Ya picked up a few pebbles from the ground, and at this moment, the guard raised his knife, just about to cut off the little Taoist’s head, Zhao Ya took action.

Using the renowned Five Extremes Technique’s Finger-Flashing Divine Power known across Jianghu, she fired the stone in her hand.

The Commandery Princess, although not known for combat prowess, wasn’t just a pretty face. She was a formidable Molten Furnace Realm expert. At this time, one pebble shot directly toward the knife-wielding guard.

With a snap, the pebble pierced straight through the guard’s throat.

The guard’s actions froze there. Those by his side, seeing the guard’s stillness, curiously asked, ”What’s wrong, Third Brother? You can’t even muster the strength to kill a person? Did the girl from Eight Great Alleys drain you dry?”

”Hahaha...”

The guards burst into laughter, but the guard next to the stricken one noticed something amiss and went to push him.

”Third Brother!”

With that push, a snap sound was heard as the guard fell to the ground, blood gurgling from his neck.

”Old!” Seeing this, the guard was terrified. Just as he was about to shout, a second pebble flew in, snapping into his open mouth, pierced through the back of his head, and flew out the other side with a snap.
