Ning An's Wild Wish System

”But there’s one thing I just can’t stand—he doesn’t have any intention of finding a partner. No matter how much we push him, he either stays silent or dodges the issue.”

”This is making us worry so much that we can’t sleep night after night. We’ve even told him, even if there’s no love, just find someone to marry first; as long as we have a grandson, we won’t care what he does. But he doesn’t listen at all.”

”We’ve introduced him to more than a dozen good girls. Their looks, figures, and personalities are all very nice, yet he’s still not interested at all. What are we supposed to do?”

Upon hearing this, the live chat exploded, but the comments were divided into two camps.

”Auntie, this is your fault. I guess your son is probably only in his twenties. At that age, if it were me, I wouldn’t want to get married either. I haven’t had enough fun yet. Marriage is like stepping into the grave of life. I don’t want that.”

”Exactly, my parents are better now, but they used to argue for decades, it made my ears go numb, it was so annoying!”

”In today’s society, late marriage and late childbirth are the trends. Your son’s thinking isn’t unreasonable. Let him play around for a few more years, and once he’s had enough, he’ll settle down.”

”Yeah, nowadays, parents wish their children could be study machines in school and reproductive machines once they enter society. Such a life is meaningless. I’ve grown up and finally have control over my own life. Why should I listen to my parents? I refuse!”

”Exactly, the more you push him, the more he might develop a rebellious attitude. If you stop pushing, there might be unexpected results.”

This was the comforting side, while the other side was more aggressive.

”Auntie, I think you haven’t found the right approach. Based on your demeanor, you’re probably introducing him to society ladies. Your son might not like that type. Try a different batch.”

”Yes, Auntie, do you think I’m suitable? Nowadays, who likes gentle ladies? Everyone expresses love straightforwardly without ambiguity. I’m a wild one, just look at me.”

”I’m wild too, Auntie, look at me. I’ve sent my info to you via private message. You must check it out, please remember to look!”

”Mom! Don’t be blinded by these temptresses. They’re all not clean. In school, they were surely hooked up with athletes. The wear and tear alone is terrifying. We can’t have such second-hand goods! Look at me, I’m a first-hand product, absolutely unused by anyone. I can go to the hospital for a check-up!”

”...”

The banter between the two camps went back and forth, becoming the main theme of the live stream.

The middle-aged woman didn’t look at the comments but continued to sigh, ”Actually, I know that today’s kids don’t like to marry early, and many advocate for late marriage and childbirth. But... my daughter is about to get engaged, and soon after, she’ll be married.”

”Her younger sister is getting married, and as her older brother, he’s still single. In our community, this will surely invite gossip. Sigh.”

Upon hearing the middle-aged woman’s reasoning, the comforting viewers in the chat were left speechless.

After all, when the older brother isn’t married and the younger sister is, it indeed invites gossip.

Especially considering this Auntie seems quite wealthy based on her appearance; such details are surely important to her family.

”Auntie, if that’s the case, then I think maybe your son doesn’t like the suitors you’ve introduced him to. Try different styles; maybe he’ll find one he’s interested in.”

”Yes, it could also be because the cost of getting married nowadays is too high, whether it’s emotional or financial. It’s beyond the scope of an average family. I’m also at that age for marriage, but thinking about these troubles gives me a headache.”

”They say wealth leads different lives, but I’ve already had a tough time. Why should I bring another generation into this miserable life?”

”Well said! I second that!”

”...”

Comments flew around like snowflakes in Ning An’s live stream.

The largest group in Ning An’s live stream isn’t college students, but recent graduates.

From school through graduation, they’ve all harbored dreams of a beautiful life, believing that as long as they work hard, their wishes will come true.

However, the summer they graduated, cold reality struck them with a harsh blow.

”What, you talk of dreams?”

”You, a mere undergrad, want a dream?”

”Eat sh*t!”

The HR sneered, sending the graduates’ resumes into the ground-level talent pool.

Job hunting is as hard as climbing to heaven!

Even a job that pays four thousand, without insurances or pension, can make graduates’ eyes light up like hungry wolves.

In such an environment, even the ultimate idealists end up clamping their chatter, becoming honorably exploited workhorses.

As everyone knows, workhorses aren’t entitled to love; they shut themselves off from it.

Realizing the comments, the middle-aged woman seriously read a few lines.

She sighed, ”I can understand young people’s thoughts nowadays. After all, things are different now; the pressure of life and the cost of childbirth are tough to handle if anything goes wrong.”

”But Auntie, to be honest, our family’s situation is slightly better. Even if we do nothing but live on bank interest, we can quickly buy a house in the provincial city. So my son’s worries shouldn’t be an issue.”

Upon hearing this, all viewers widened their eyes.

”What the heck? Is Auntie even human to say that? This is called slightly better than our family’s situation? Even if my family saves for twenty years, selling everything, we can only afford a down payment in the provincial city!”

”I checked just now. Based on the average price of our provincial city, twenty-two thousand per square meter, for a 120 sqm house, it’s two point six four million.

Auntie said the interest can quickly buy a house, so let’s assume it’s a month, monthly interest two point six four million, yearly it’s thirty-one point sixty-eight million.

Usually, the bank increases the interest rate by fifty percent for large deposits. I checked; the three-year fixed rate is two point seven five. Adding fifty percent, the rate is four point one two five.

Dividing interest by the rate, we get the principal. So Auntie’s bank card should have at least seven hundred million!”

”Emphasizing that Auntie said her bank card earns interest, but she didn’t say her family only has this card!”

”Oh my gosh! How can we live? Competing with you rich folks is futile!”

”...”

The middle-aged woman sighed, ”Afterwards, aside from allocating some estate to his sister, most will be left to him. I don’t understand what reason he has not to get married.”

Saying this, she looked up at Ning An, ”So, Little Daoist, I want the Master to help find a partner for my son.”

”This can’t be delayed anymore, or my daughter’s engagement will be awkward!”

Clearly, the middle-aged woman is genuinely anxious.

After all, from any angle, her son shouldn’t lack a marriage partner.

But awkwardly, reality is far more magical than imagination.

Before Ning An could speak, the aggressive camp filled the screen with comments once again.

”Auntie, look at me. I’m quite suitable, I’m not too bad-looking either. I’m a generous person; if your son is willing, I don’t mind sharing a bed with others.”

”Pah, wicked woman! Don’t you see your own worth before trying to seduce my man? What do you have against me? At least I graduated from a proper college. You? Looking at your file, you barely scraped through a vocational school; probably ridden numerous times, huh?”

”What the heck? You just exposed me, disgusting. Screw you!”

”Mom! Me, me, me, I’ve got a big chest, it feels good to touch, I’ll definitely raise your grandchild chubby and healthy, and I won’t let your grandson suffer a bit!”
