Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 2695: Chapter 2695: Can’t Afford to Hire an Emperor

However, this did make it convenient for him to eliminate quite a few of the Retired Emperor’s forces within the palace, including two in the imperial hospital.

He didn’t care about people in other places, but the imperial hospital was definitely a place that could claim lives.

”Ah, a person who pretends to sleep can never be woken up.”

An Jiuyue sighed softly, sincerely thinking that the Retired Emperor was not very smart.

Perhaps he was in a hurry; the more anxious he was, the more mistakes he made, and the more people he lost in his grasp.

”Once this is fully cleared, we can rest easy in the future. Even if we want to hand over the Daqing Kingdom to someone else, we can do so without worries, right?”

”Mm.”

The Emperor nodded.

This time, just take the opportunity to clear out all of the Retired Emperor’s people.

Over the years, dealing with the Retired Emperor’s people has been quite a headache. He had put up with it long enough and didn’t want to act dutiful anymore.

”Actually, before, I hadn’t really thought about clearing out all the Retired Emperor’s people.”

”Hmm?”

Both Qian Jiyun and An Jiuyue looked at him simultaneously.

”Uh.”

The Emperor’s heart skipped a beat under their gaze.

”Don’t look at me like that. I just thought that if I occasionally picked off a few of the Retired Emperor’s people, perhaps the Retired Emperor wouldn’t have the energy to cause trouble.”

Qian Jiyun & An Jiuyue: ”...”

This was indeed a good idea, making the Retired Emperor perpetually angry or on the verge of anger, not bad.

An Jiuyue gave the Emperor a thumbs-up, ”You always come up with the best ideas.”

She hadn’t thought of such a good idea herself, but upon reflection, although it was overall good, it really wasn’t that great, as keeping those people would only add to the Daqing Kingdom’s burdens.

”We might as well clear them out all at once; keeping them is useless.” The Emperor continued.

As long as the Retired Emperor couldn’t leave the Supreme Palace, keeping his people outside was pointless. It would be better to give the Daqing Kingdom some peace. In hindsight, his previous thoughts seemed rather immature.

Seeing the Emperor’s demeanor, Qian Jiyun shook his head.

”Big brother, you really don’t look much like an Emperor.” He said when compared to the princes of the past.

”I never wanted to be an Emperor in the first place.”

The Emperor pursed his lips, feeling like being forced onto a pedestal. If he didn’t become Emperor, he would die; hence, he had no choice.

Every day before the ministers, he had to maintain the dignity of an Emperor while managing a plethora of affairs, even remembering which minister’s children were of age to get engaged or married.

If it weren’t for Eunuch Fu by his side, how could he possibly remember these things?

”When I hand over the Daqing Kingdom to Yuu Xin, I’ll find myself a position in Wulong Mountain.” He said.

An Jiuyue: ”...”

Her Demon Heart Hall couldn’t afford to host a former Emperor.

”Well, Jiyun’s Jun Lin Hall is always ready to welcome big brother.”

Qian Jiyun: ”!”

He turned to look at his lady.

When did he ever say such a thing? Just the Emperor? He couldn’t come to Wulong Mountain and establish his own sect, but instead wanted to rely on him?

”Let’s end the conversation here for today. Let’s head back to the residence.”

He didn’t want to continue this topic, so he decided to leave since they had seen everyone they needed to see.

”Jiuyue, let’s go find Nuonuo and the others.” He stood up and said.

”Alright.”

An Jiuyue stood up as well and nodded.

She had been keeping an eye on the little ones. In the harem, they were having a great time. Despite being the youngest, one seemed like a teacher, instructing the older ones in cultivation.
