Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 2691: Chapter 2691: Time to Go Back and Take a Look

“Ha.”

An Jiuyue let out a cold laugh, looking at the Retired Emperor as if he were a fool.

“Does the Retired Emperor think I look stupid?”

Wei Na’s advice was indeed correct, having the young eunuch keep an eye on the Retired Emperor, but where was the Paper Person to do a better job? The Paper Person would follow her orders, watching him without a blink.

“The Retired Emperor should take care of himself. I won’t accompany you.” After saying that, she truly turned around and left.

“An Jiuyue!”

The Retired Emperor was so furious that he almost chased after her to stab her.

What he didn’t expect was that in the years to come, the two Paper Persons left behind by An Jiuyue would indeed watch him unwaveringly even when he went to the toilet, every time making his scalp tingle with unease, yet he could do nothing about it.

…

“If I had known today’s situation, I would have imprisoned him earlier.”

In the imperial study room, the Emperor looked at the petition written by Gong Jian, brought to him by Qian Jiyun, and raised his hand to rub his brow.

The once prosperous Daqing Kingdom was turned into a mess by the Retired Emperor. It was only after he took over that he realized how little money was left in the national treasury, while wars raged here and disasters struck there.

The Daqing that used to be the leading state among the planes had become a weak country that other nations wanted to nibble at anytime.

If not for the fame of Qian Jiyun and An Jiuyue, the Emperor might have had sleepless nights in fear, so he had been extremely busy these past few years.

Indeed, he did not expect that after everything had settled, the Retired Emperor would still gather a large number of forces outside to pull him down from the throne.

“I’m thinking of sending him to the Imperial Enlightenment Temple in a few days.”

“That’s unnecessary.”

Qian Jiyun dismissed his suggestion.

“The Imperial Enlightenment Temple is not close to the capital. Since the Retired Emperor cannot die, he must stay under our watch.”

The Emperor thought about it and agreed; with the Retired Emperor, it’s impossible not to keep him under watch. Even under surveillance, he could still turn the Northern Lands upside down.

“Then let him stay in the Supreme Palace.” He said.

“Once the Northern Lands’ matters are resolved, I doubt he’ll stir up any more trouble.” Qian Jiyun stated.

Emperor: “…”

Once the Northern Lands’ situation is pacified, the forces the Retired Emperor holds will be thoroughly eradicated, right? It’s already good if he’s not angered to death; where would he find the energy to cause more chaos?

Moreover, whereas before no one restrained the Retired Emperor, now there are so many people watching, he won’t be able to play any tricks.

Besides, causing trouble requires resources, and the Retired Emperor currently has nothing, so what can he do?

“Indeed, are you planning to go to Huayan Peak?” Not wanting to discuss the Retired Emperor further, he changed the topic.

“Mm.”

Qian Jiyun nodded.

“I haven’t visited Huayan Peak in years; it’s time to take a look.”

If it was just about being a guard, he wouldn’t need to specifically go to Huayan Peak; everything there had been handled by others, leaving him idle.

But the key point is, he is an inter-plane traveler too. Speaking of which, he’s been busy with the Evil Spirit Universe business these past few years and hasn’t conquered those mischievous beings at Huayan Peak.

“Several years have passed. I wonder how Huayan Peak is doing?”

“Gong Cheng sends a family letter back every month. People at Huayan Peak have all changed, so when you go back, you might not recognize many folks.” The Emperor said.
