Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 2664: Chapter 2664: Looks Like a Sucker

An Yixing raised his hand to pat the shoulders of his two younger brothers and spoke loudly.

Father and mother have already done enough by imprisoning Dowager Consort Yu and her son with thunderous force and opening a door for the people to seek justice. Yet, the officials here still want father and mother to handle everything for them.

They truly have wishful thinking; not even in his dreams did he imagine such a beautiful scenario.

”I don’t like those officials at all; they only know how to talk, just like Aunt told us about playing lip service,” An Yizhou said.

When they were playing in the government office, they would see those in official robes come to talk to them, constantly praising how great they were—words full of flattery. Just listening makes him feel very anxious and cautious of them.

”Let’s go. Let’s tell Father and Mother about the situation outside and that Uncle Gong Jian has arrived.” Qian Yinuo took the hands of the two brothers and headed into the government office.

Everyone has left, and there’s nothing more to see in the spectacle, so we should go back first.

...

In the government reception hall, Gong Jian, with a cold face, looked at the officials seated below.

At this time, those from the prefecture, prepared to meet with Prince Zhan and Prince An Yang, had all gathered. Seeing Gong Jian’s face as black as ink, they all bowed their heads, not daring to say a word.

This imperial commissioner arrived so quickly, even the guard squad hadn’t entered the city, and he didn’t receive any notice.

Official He lamented inwardly, feeling he was going to be in real trouble this time.

How coincidental it was that the imperial commissioner witnessed the scene of the people kneeling at the government entrance, pleading for justice. Really, now how was he supposed to speak?

”Official He, right outside the government office I saw so many people kneeling and begging for justice. How come I have not seen you, Official He, or any other officials?”

Gong Jian did not give them a chance to remain silent, directly asking Prefect He.

”This...”

Prefect He was called out by name and didn’t know what to say for a moment.

What could he say? The culprits were Dowager Consort Yu and the Fifteenth Prince. Expecting a prefect to question members of the imperial kinsmen, did he have the guts?

”Replying to Lord Gong, this official just received the news, and was indeed planning to seek an audience with Prince Zhan and Lord Prince Anyang to ask them to help uphold justice for the people.”

There was no other way; he could only bring up the two princes, as that could never be wrong.

”Nonsense!”

Gong Jian shouted sharply, slamming his hand heavily onto the table, glaring at Prefect He with fierce eyes.

”Prince Zhan and Lord Prince Anyang just happened to come to Ying City. You, being the local officials of Ying City, don’t first think about seeking justice for the people, but think about letting two princes do it for you instead. If this is how you act, what use does Daqing Kingdom have for you as local officials?”

He truly did not expect, even in front of him, these people would still try to shift the responsibility onto the two princes.

Do those two look like fools to be used as government officials by the prefectural office? Saying this without fear of being laughed at by others, it’s truly preposterous!

Prefect He and others were so frightened they shuddered, almost kneeling, their legs shaking like sieves, and attempting to defend.

”My lord, the matter concerning Dowager Consort Yu and the Fifteenth Prince is indeed being investigated by people under the two princes. This official was just thinking of seeking an audience with the princes to ask them how to handle it.”
