Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 2680: Chapter 2680: He Must Be Bluffing

The next moment, the Retired Emperor saw the brat he had cursed countless times in his heart, appear right in front of him.

If it were before, he would have surely mocked the Emperor thoroughly, but now, seeing the Emperor, he was filled with terror, his eyelids twitching fiercely.

This brat was no longer the obedient one he used to know; now that he’s here, could it be that something has happened outside again?

Has one of his forces been lost again? Or is this brat purely here to laugh at him?

”What are you here for this time?” he asked the Emperor coldly.

”Everyone else, withdraw.”

Eunuch Fu, standing behind the Emperor, instructed the eunuchs and palace maids in the hall.

”Yes.”

The eunuchs and palace maids obeyed, quickly exiting, and Eunuch Fu also left, closing the palace doors behind him.

The Retired Emperor watched the closed palace doors and frowned slightly.

”Speak.”

He tried to steady his mind, telling himself that one day he would reclaim everything he had lost, and then it would be more than just simply imprisoning this brat.

”Father, I’ve just received news. Gong Jian discovered a large cache of military weapons in Ying City, and no one knows who these things were meant for.”

The Emperor’s lips were slightly curved; from the Retired Emperor’s perspective, he clearly seemed in high spirits.

”But regardless of who they were intended for before, now they will definitely be used to equip the great army of the Daqing Kingdom, Father. Don’t you agree?”

”You—”

The Retired Emperor felt a rush of anger stuck in his throat, his mind muddled.

He knew about that cache of weaponry; it had cost him quite a bit of money and effort. How could it have been discovered so soon?

How could Dowager Consort Yu and her son be so useless, unable to hide anything properly? Even if they died, they shouldn’t have let those weapons be found. How could they not hold their tongue?

”What weapons? I don’t understand what you’re talking about!”

Although his heart bled, he couldn’t admit it, for if he did, his future days would be even harder.

”Does Father really know nothing about it? Tens of thousands of weapons, it must have cost quite a sum of money, right? If I find out which army this concerns, I will not be lenient!”

The Emperor replied.

And regarding this matter, Gong Jian would soon provide him with an accurate report.

The Retired Emperor’s eyelids twitched severely, his heart silently whispering that it was not good; if the weaponry was found, would his private troops also be discovered?

No, that can’t be right.

He shook his head, convinced that this brat was surely trying to deceive him.

Even if the brat sent people to Ying City, it couldn’t be possible for them to have news so quickly, not in just a few days; merely traveling to Ying City at full speed would require this much time, wouldn’t it?

Moreover, they would still need to find the weapons and send the information to the capital.

It’s impossible without ten or twenty days.

”Ha, do you think by saying this, I will fall into your trap? What weapons and army, I know nothing! You shall not get any information from my lips!”

Anyway, he would not say a word; he knew nothing about any weaponry!

”Can’t get it?”

The Emperor looked at him amusedly.

”Then it must indeed mean that there’s something going on with Father here, right?”

Retired Emperor: ”...”

When had he ever mentioned there was something going on with him? He knew nothing about it.
