Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 1019: Chapter 1061: Showdown

Upon hearing Huo Jiantian’s words, Ling Yueyue not only remained unfazed but tilted her head back and burst into laughter, ”Hunger strike! Hahaha...! Are you threatening me! Go on with your hunger strike, it’s you not me who’ll be starving, I’m not scared!”

It’s not that she lacks empathy! But in her opinion, Huo Jiantian simply cannot genuinely carry out a hunger strike!

A foodie who only knows how to eat and eat every day, always figuring out ways to get the chef to make delicious meals, is now threatening her with a hunger strike! It’s a joke, absolutely a joke!

”You... you have no empathy, you are a cold-blooded animal... you... you... you’re a bad person... you’re venomous, a snake’s heart... you...!” Huo Jiantian racked his brains, spouting off all the insults he knew in one breath!

Unfortunately, no matter what he said, Ling Yueyue remained unfazed, even graciously accepting his ’praise’, ”Haha... I am a cold-blooded animal; I am a bad person. Haven’t you always called me a wicked stepmother? Didn’t you know from the start?”

”You... you...!” Huo Jiantian pointed at Ling Yueyue, trembling with both anger and frustration.

Ling Yueyue raised an eyebrow, ”What about me?”

”You...!” Not able to out-argue Ling Yueyue, Huo Jiantian had to shift his gaze to Huo Junmo, pouting angrily, ”Dad, take a look! The wicked stepmother is bullying me again! You have to stand up for me!”

Ling Yueyue self-righteously declared, ”How am I bullying you? I’m telling you, don’t you wrong me!”

Huo Jiantian angrily retorted, ”You say you’re not bullying me! You all are going out to play without taking me along!”

Seeing Huo Jiantian say this, Ling Yueyue directly tossed the question to Huo Junmo, ”You go ask your dad whether he’ll take you or not? I just find it strange, why would you insist on tagging along when we’re going out as a couple to nurture our relationship? Watching us being affectionate with each other would only make you uncomfortable!”

”Dad! You will take me, won’t you?” Huo Jiantian looked at Huo Junmo full of expectation.

Huo Junmo: ”...!”

Before Huo Junmo could speak, Ling Yueyue walked over to him, sat down, and wrapped her uninjured, nimble arm around Huo Junmo’s neck, nestling her little cheek on Huo Junmo’s chest playfully, ”Darling, wasn’t it you who suggested taking me on a honeymoon? Don’t you think it’s inappropriate to bring a third wheel on a honeymoon? I have been married to you for such a long time and have yet to enjoy a world of just the two of us. You certainly won’t bring Tiantian along, right? I know you care for me the most!”

At Ling Yueyue’s teasing, Huo Junmo’s body visibly quivered!

”Dad...!” Huo Jiantian also refused to show weakness, his eyes welling with tears, looked pitifully at Huo Junmo.

”Darling...!” Huo Jiantian cried out, and Ling Yueyue followed suit with a sweet call!

”Dad...!”

”Darling...!”

”Dad...!”

”Darling...!” Thus, the two of them alternately called out at each other!

Huo Junmo twitched his brows, his lips involuntarily twitching a couple of times!

Huo Jiantian pouted pitifully, ”Dad, you definitely can’t bear to see me starve, right?”

Ling Yueyue immediately said, ”Darling, don’t listen to him, he won’t starve! He’s just deliberately threatening you!”

Huo Jiantian nodded vigorously, solemnly emphasizing, ”I will, I definitely will!”

To sway Huo Junmo to her side, Ling Yueyue traced circles gently on Huo Junmo’s chest with her other hand that had been injured but was somewhat recovered, ”Darling, you would prefer to be with me alone, wouldn’t you? We haven’t had a proper ’us-time’ yet! This time, going on a honeymoon, we should make up for it properly!”

Ling Yueyue’s last remark completely went over the head of the five-year-old Huo Jiantian but was intensely alluring to the adult Huo Junmo!

Ask any man who could resist such charm when tender wife is in your arms!

Huo Junmo: ”...!”

”Oooh... in the world, only mom is good, a child with a mom is like a treasure, ...!” Seeing things not going his way, Huo Jiantian shut his little eyes, tears streaming down! While crying, he didn’t forget to sing to garner sympathy from Huo Junmo!

Huo Junmo rubbed his temple, his face somber!

Just then, the butler approached and respectfully said, ”Sir, Madam, Young Master, dinner is ready, you can eat now!”

Upon hearing this, Huo Junmo looked as if he had seen a savior, gently pushing Ling Yueyue, who was snuggled in his arms, aside, he jumped up from the sofa, ”Eat, eat, let’s eat first!” Saying so, he dashed to the washroom to wash his hands and then sat down by the dining table.

Huo Jiantian sat motionless on the suitcase, arms crossed, resolutely declared, ”I won’t eat, if you don’t agree to take me along, I’ll go on a hunger strike, I swear I won’t eat!”

”You don’t eat, I will!” Ling Yueyue raised her eyebrows, preparing to wash her hands. Passing by Huo Jiantian, she suddenly picked him up and roughly placed him on the sofa, ”I’m telling you, don’t ruin my suitcase, it’s new, and I don’t have time to get a new one if it gets broken!” With that, she ignored Huo Jiantian, heading to the washroom, washed her hands, and sat at Huo Junmo’s left hand.

Seeing Ling Yueyue valuing a suitcase more than him, Huo Jiantian pouted his lips high, almost reaching the sky!

Seeing Huo Junmo and Ling Yueyue enjoying their meal while Huo Jiantian sat sulking on the sofa, the butler said compassionately, ”Young Master, you’re only five, it’s time for you to grow. No matter what, you shouldn’t be in strife with your stomach! Go eat a bit! Today, I specially instructed the kitchen to make your favorite corn and shrimp!”

Hearing about corn and shrimp, Huo Jiantian couldn’t help but recall the delicious taste of the dish in his mind, swallowing his saliva involuntarily! His stomach also embarrassingly rumbled!

In fact, he was already hungry when school ended! He initially planned on having a big meal once he got home!

Unexpectedly, after the uproar about the trip, he blurted out those things!

If he went to eat now, the wicked stepmother would surely mock him mercilessly! He’s a man, a gentleman could be killed but not humiliated! Even if it meant starving, he couldn’t allow the wicked stepmother to belittle him!

Thinking of this, Huo Jiantian nodded solemnly and kept boosting his spirits, persist, persist, must persist!

Dad cares about him, seeing him on a hunger strike, he will undoubtedly relent and compromise to agree!

By then he could go out and play! Hunger is only temporary, the final victory is eternal!
