Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 1010: Chapter 1052: His Concern

Just now, not only was Anxin injured, but she was hurt too! However, Anxin was hurt on her knee, while she hurt her arm! Yet, he seemed to not notice her at all!

Thinking of this, Ling Yueyue felt sour and bitter inside, indescribable!

But this feeling was strange; she didn’t know what it was, couldn’t figure it out! She just felt really upset inside! Even though that person was her best friend, she didn’t want them to be too close! She had a possessiveness over Huo Junmo, wanting to have him all to herself!

Thinking of this, Ling Yueyue suddenly woke up and forcefully clapped her hands, constantly blaming herself for being too petty.

Ling Yueyue, what are you thinking! Anxin hurt her leg, can’t walk, it’s natural for Huo Junmo as a man to carry her inside, how could you think like this?

Yes... You definitely can’t let your imagination run wild, absolutely not!

Ling Yueyue vigorously shook her head, trying to shake off the thoughts that shouldn’t be there, then quickly followed inside.

As Ling Yueyue walked into Huo Tian Group, she heard Huo Junmo say, ”I’m going to find Yueyue!” Before she could react, Huo Junmo had already turned around, Ling Yueyue hurriedly said, ”No need, I’m already here!”

Huo Junmo glanced at Ling Yueyue and asked concernedly, ”Are you okay?”

Ling Yueyue unconsciously moved her injured arm, smiled, and answered dismissively, ”I’m fine!”

Only then did Huo Junmo nod reassuringly.

At this time, the security chief came over and truthfully reported, ”President, we couldn’t stop the car, nor catch the person, but we noted the license plate number!”

Huo Junmo nodded and instructed calmly, ”Alright! Go find a surgeon!”

”Yes!” The security chief acknowledged and turned to leave.

After the receptionist brought three cups of coffee, Huo Junmo and Ling Yueyue sat across from Ye Anxin, and Huo Junmo asked, ”What exactly happened?”

”I just exited the school gate with Anxin, ready to go shopping, only to find that a black car was following the taxi we were in! No matter where we went, it followed us! Because that person kept a distance from us, we couldn’t see his face clearly! Earlier, I wanted the taxi driver to drive us straight to your company’s entrance, but the taxi driver refused for fear of breaking the rules! We had no choice but to get off on the street! Originally, when we got off, we didn’t see that black Buick! Unexpectedly, after walking just a few steps, the car rushed out from nowhere! What happened next, you already know!” Ling Yueyue recounted the entire incident truthfully.

Huo Junmo lowered his eyes, carefully pondering Ling Yueyue’s words.

Ling Yueyue continued, ”From start to finish, I was with Anxin, so I don’t know who the Buick’s target was! Anxin has a good temper, never offends anyone! Although I usually speak without a filter, I haven’t formed such a deep-seated hatred with anyone to the point of wanting to run us down!”

Huo Junmo thoughtfully said, ”I will find someone to investigate. Later, I’ll have someone take you home first! We can’t hide this from Beiting; you must have specialized personnel escort you in and out in the future! That person did not succeed this time; there will definitely be a next time! Until we catch this person, you must listen and not run around!”

Ye Anxin thought carefully about Huo Junmo’s words, agreeing as she nodded, ”I’m injured now, I definitely can’t hide this from Uncle; I’ll tell him when I go back!”

”Alright!” Huo Junmo and Ling Yueyue nodded simultaneously.

Soon after, the security chief invited the nearest orthopedic doctor from a hospital to come and carefully treated Ye Anxin’s wounds, bandaging them properly with gauze.

The doctor explained while organizing the medical kit he brought, ”It’s just a scrape, the bone is fine; I’ve applied medicine on your wound, go to the hospital for a follow-up the day after tomorrow, if it scabs over, then there’s no problem!”

Ye Anxin nodded gratefully, ”Okay, thank you doctor!”

To be safe, before leaving, the doctor confirmed once more, ”Is anyone else injured? Otherwise, you’ll have to call again later!”

Ye Anxin looked at Ling Yueyue, ”Yueyue, you fell together with me earlier, are you feeling unwell anywhere?”

Ling Yueyue’s hand unconsciously touched her sore arm and shook her head, ”No, I’m fine!”

Her subtle movements did not escape Huo Junmo’s sharp eyes; he narrowed his eyes and suddenly grabbed her arm, rolling up her sleeve directly.

Because of his action, Ling Yueyue gasped in pain, sweat beads rolled down her forehead.

When the sleeve was rolled up, Ye Anxin couldn’t help but gasp, ”Oh my, Yueyue, your arm is very swollen!”

Although Ling Yueyue’s arm didn’t have any skin break or bleeding, it was swollen like a bun.

Earlier she wore long sleeves and a thin jacket, it wasn’t noticeable! Now with the sleeve rolled up, the injury on her arm was starkly exposed.

”It’s okay, it’s okay, a hot egg roll over it will do!” Ling Yueyue laughed awkwardly, wanting to pull her arm out of Huo Junmo’s grip.

Unexpectedly, Huo Junmo not only didn’t let go, he tightened his grip, eyebrows slightly furrowed, sternly said, ”It’s so swollen and you’re saying it’s okay! Doctor, take a look at her!”

”Alright!” As a professional surgeon, with just a glance it’s clear, this arm injury is more serious than the knee.

”I’m really fine, I really am!” Ling Yueyue still shook her head, Huo Junmo, without allowing her to refuse, overbearingly pressed her onto the chair, then let the doctor examine her arm.

The doctor gently pressed on her swollen arm, immediately causing Ling Yueyue to sweat profusely from pain.

The doctor seriously examined her, ”Miss, you’ve injured your muscles and bones, it’s more serious than that young lady’s injury! The saying goes, it takes a hundred days to heal muscle and bone injuries; that young lady can be completely healed in up to ten days, but for you, it’ll take at least half a month, if not dealt with properly, it might cause lingering problems, whenever it rains or the weather changes, it’ll be uncomfortable here!”

As the doctor spoke, Ling Yueyue immediately felt two sharp gazes directed at her.

Ling Yueyue guiltily coughed twice, somewhat lacking confidence as she said, ”Cough! It’s not as serious as you say! Back then, I suffered from these injuries, and it was never as scary as you describe!”

Feeling his skills questioned, the doctor’s face changed instantly, ”If you don’t believe me, then I’ll leave; you can find a better doctor to take a look, I’m definitely not exaggerating!” Saying this, he picked up his medical kit and was about to leave.
