Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 400: Chapter 401: Caught Peeping

”Thank you, thank you!” Ye Anxin thanked repeatedly before hanging up the phone!

After hanging up the phone with the butler, Ye Anxin nervously watched the situation inside!

Meanwhile, inside the villa, Xiao Bai had just finished lunch, and his long fingers gracefully wiped the grease from the corner of his mouth with a napkin.

After wiping his mouth, he said, ”Butler, Dad just called me. He said he’ll come home for dinner tonight. Make sure to cook a few more dishes he loves!”

”Okay!” The butler nodded, his eyes turning, suddenly smiling, ”Young Master, you’ve just finished eating; would you like to stroll in the yard? It helps with digestion!”

”No!” Xiao Bai refused outright without a second thought!

Seeing his refusal, the butler did not insist, lowering his head in disappointment.

Seeing all his expressions, light flickered in Xiao Bai’s eyes, his thin lips pursing slightly. Suddenly, he stood up and leisurely walked outside!

The butler hurried to follow, ”Young Master, where are you going?”

”For a walk!” Xiao Bai casually tossed back two words and exited the villa.

Xiao Bai stood at the villa entrance, turning his head, his cold eyes aimlessly wandering around, seemingly searching for something!

However, after looking around, he found nothing, his eyes gradually showing a hint of disappointment.

Ye Anxin hid outside the wall, sticking out half her head, greedily gazing at her son, never seeming to have enough. Wherever Xiao Bai wandered in the yard, she crouched and followed, her gaze never leaving Xiao Bai.

Just as Ye Anxin was watching intently, an unusual sound suddenly came from behind, followed closely by a startled cry, ”Who are you? What are you doing hiding here?”

Ye Anxin’s body froze, shouting silently, not good.

She had been discovered! At this time, the only ones who could be here were the Mu Family’s servants and no one else!

Ye Anxin dared not turn around, almost immediately standing up and running away!

”Hey, don’t run! Who are you, and what are you doing here? What’s your purpose?” The servant who had just spoken feared that Ye Anxin would flee and hurriedly chased after her, grabbing her arm.

Ye Anxin’s arm was caught, and despite her forceful attempts to pull away, the servant, used to the heavy work, had too much strength. Not only did she fail to break free, but her wrist was painfully squeezed!

The servant forcefully pulled Ye Anxin closer, sharply questioning, ”Who exactly are you? If you don’t say, I’ll call the police!”

Having no choice, Ye Anxin had to turn her head and glance at the servant!

When the servant saw Ye Anxin’s appearance, he stood there stunned, ”Madam... madam... why is it you? How are you here?”

Other than the butler, the rest of the servants did not know what had happened five years ago!

They only knew that their always kind and gentle madam had suddenly disappeared after giving birth to the young master, vanishing without a trace!

Privately, the servants had secretly speculated, thinking that the madam couldn’t tolerate the gentleman’s lack of romance, abandoning both the child and the gentleman, and ran off with another man!

They thought the madam would never appear again in her lifetime! Unexpectedly, it’s been five years, and the madam suddenly appeared, and in this manner!

Ye Anxin took advantage of the servant’s momentary daze to shake off his hand and ran away swiftly.

The servant stood there stunned, watching Ye Anxin’s figure gradually disappear before him!

Hearing the commotion, other servants inside the villa hurried out! Even Xiao Bai, who was strolling in the yard, followed them out!

One of the servants asked with concern, ”What happened? What’s going on?”

The servant pointed to where Ye Anxin disappeared and said dumbfoundedly, ”Madam... Madam... I just saw Madam....!”

The servant’s words undoubtedly stirred up trouble; everyone looked at each other, unable to hold back, lowering their heads and whispering between themselves, ”Madam? Didn’t Madam disappear five years ago? How did she appear here?”

”Yeah! She’d left, how come suddenly appear? Could it be that she misses the son and wants to come back to see him?”

”If she missed her son, why didn’t she act sooner? She was so heartless, abandoning the young master and the gentleman. Now she regrets it, but it’s too late!”

”Poor young master, growing up without ever seeing his mother, truly pitiful!”

Listening to their conversation, Xiao Bai’s face beside them became increasingly unsightly, his hands slowly clenched into fists, painfully suppressing something.

The butler, following out, also paled after hearing their words, angrily shouting: ”Enough, what nonsense are you speaking before the young master? Without good reason, which mother would willingly abandon her child! If you dare to wag your tongues before the young master again, beware we rip out your tongues! Go back to work quickly!”

With the butler’s shout, everyone dared not say anything, lowered their heads, and left off in succession.

Just as everyone was about to go indoors, the butler’s warning voice came again, ”If any of you dare tell the gentleman about what happened just now, watch out; I’ll tear your mouths apart! Do you hear me?”

”Heard it!” The servants nodded vigorously and then rushed inside.

For a moment, outside the wall, only Xiao Bai and the butler were left.

The butler crouched down, looking at Xiao Bai with affection, softly saying, ”Young Master, don’t listen to their nonsense; your mom is a very good person. She’s kind, optimistic, and cheerful and was a very affectionate couple with your father! She hasn’t abandoned you; she has unavoidable reasons, please don’t hate her for it!”

Xiao Bai said nothing, only quietly stared at the butler, his thin lips tightly formed into a line.

Seeing Xiao Bai’s silence, the butler patiently coaxed: ”Young Master, let’s not tell the gentleman about today’s matter, okay? After all, the matter has passed five years. Let’s let it go, alright?”

”Whatever!” Xiao Bai’s profound eyes glanced faintly at the butler, casually throwing out two words, then turned and went indoors without looking back!

The butler watched Xiao Bai’s departing figure, helplessly sighing!

In the five years, except for before the age of two when the young master would always ask where his mother was, he now never mentions her, as if she’s a stranger without any sentiment!

Even now with his biological mother close by, he doesn’t show the emotions or clamor that other children would, seemingly having no inner desire for this mother!

He doesn’t know what the young master is thinking, but whenever he considers the madam’s current relationship with the young master, he feels sad for her!

He doesn’t know when they can officially meet and reunite as mother and son!

Alas...!

With a helpless sigh, the butler also went indoors!
