Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 366: Chapter 366: Meeting with Li Lin

”Mmm!” Mu Beiting nodded, slowly walked to the bedside, sat down, pressed Ye Anxin’s nape, and planted a kiss on her forehead, speaking softly, ”I’ve sent people over, you can go out anytime! Remember, be sure to carry your phone!”

Ye Anxin smiled and nodded, ”I know, I’ll wait for your call!”

”Mmm! Then I’m leaving!” Saying this, he kissed Ye Anxin’s forehead once more, gave her a deep look, and then stood up to leave!

Ye Anxin sat on the bed, watching Mu Beiting leave!

Since there was still some time before meeting Li Lin, Ye Anxin wasn’t in a hurry. She slowly got up from the bed, then washed up, and went downstairs for breakfast!

Once everything was ready, she let the driver take her to Times Square!

Mu Beiting had sent three bodyguards for Ye Anxin, different from her previous bodyguards. These three were dressed in black short-sleeved T-shirts, with matching jeans below, walking beside her, and not as conspicuous as the previous ones!

When the driver dropped Ye Anxin off at Times Square, it was almost eleven o’clock!

As soon as Ye Anxin got out of the car, the phone in her pocket rang. She glanced at the caller ID, saw it was Mu Beiting calling, and answered, putting the phone to her ear.

Mu Beiting’s pleasant voice soon came from the other end of the phone, ”Are you there yet?”

Ye Anxin said truthfully, ”I just arrived! Uncle, don’t worry about me, focus on your meeting! I’ll take a walk and head back soon!”

”Okay!” Mu Beiting nodded, paused for a moment, and then hung up the phone!

After hanging up with Mu Beiting, Ye Anxin began to wander around the square idly, thinking about how to ditch these three bodyguards!

After a while of wandering, Ye Anxin found an excuse to go to the restroom!

The restroom in the square was different from others, with a long hallway leading to it, and the restroom was at the end of the hallway to the right!

To prevent them from following, Ye Anxin pointed to the end of the hallway and deliberately said, ”You guys stay here; I’ll be out soon after I’m done!”

One of the bodyguards glanced at the long hallway, frowned with concern, saying, ”But the boss instructed us to protect you closely!”

Ye Anxin couldn’t help but roll her eyes, ”Closely? Then just come in with me!”

”...!” Embarrassed by Ye Anxin’s words, the three bodyguards blushed slightly.

”This is a restroom, not a private place. If you guard the door, it’ll make people uncomfortable! Don’t worry, I’m just using the restroom; nothing will happen. Stay here, and if anything happens, I’ll call you!” Saying this, Ye Anxin moved inside, hand on her waist and belly!

The three bodyguards stood at the end of the hallway, watching Ye Anxin walk farther away, exchanged glances, and then obediently stayed put!

Ye Anxin slowly walked to the restroom, peeked out her little head, and secretly glanced at the three bodyguards outside! Seeing them standing with their backs to the restroom door, she leaned against the wall and slowly sneaked out, noticing they hadn’t turned around yet, she headed gradually toward a staircase in the middle of the hallway!

Luckily, the staircase was close to the restroom; Ye Anxin reached it soon enough!

As she stepped into the stairway, Ye Anxin took one last look at the three bodyguards, and just as her head poked out, all three turned simultaneously!

Ye Anxin quickly retracted her head, patted her wildly beating heart, and cautiously held onto the stair railing, heading downstairs! Once she reached the next floor, Ye Anxin exited the staircase, caught an elevator down!

Upon leaving Times Square, Ye Anxin took out her phone to check the time; it was fifteen minutes before twelve, just enough for her to walk over!

Ye Anxin put her phone back in her pants pocket, amid the large belly, cautiously walked toward the fountain behind Times Square!

Since it was noon, there weren’t many people on the road!

Ye Anxin walked unobstructed to the fountain by the side!

When she stood there, there were precisely two minutes left before noon!

Ye Anxin stood by the fountain, lifted her head, and glanced around but didn’t see Li Lin’s figure! She had to sit on a bench by the fountain, took out a small fan to fan herself continuously!

Right at noon, Li Lin appeared promptly beside Ye Anxin!

Looking at Ye Anxin sitting on the bench with her belly, Li Lin smiled smugly, ”I knew you would come!”

Ye Anxin lifted her head, looked at Li Lin standing beside her, and asked seriously, ”I’m here now; can you tell me the truth?”

Li Lin leisurely said, ”Ye Anxin, you’re not thinking of discussing this here, are you? It’s scorching hot now; let’s find somewhere to sit down and talk!”

”I don’t think there’s anything to discuss with you! Just show me the evidence!” She extended her hand towards Li Lin.

Li Lin chuckled, ”Don’t rush, Ye Anxin! It’s a complicated matter that can’t be explained in a few words! If you want to know more thoroughly, come with me to the nearby café! We’ll sit down and talk at length! I’ll tell you everything you wish to know clearly!”

”Café?” Ye Anxin frowned, still wary of Li Lin!

Li Lin spoke slowly, ”Rest assured! I won’t harm you or your unborn child! No matter how bold I am, I wouldn’t dare to do anything to Mu Beiting’s child! Unless I wanted to die! Moreover, I have no conflict of interest with you, no reason to offend Mu Beiting! I just want you to know the truth you should have known long ago!”

Ye Anxin lowered her eyes, contemplated Li Lin’s words for a moment!

She also felt that Li Lin had no reason to harm her and her unborn child, given Li Lin knew about her relationship with Uncle!

Unless Li Lin truly didn’t want to stay in Jin City, she’d have to harm both her and the child!

After thinking it through, Ye Anxin nodded, stood up, and said calmly, ”Let’s go! Which café?”

”Follow me!” Li Lin gave Ye Anxin a meaningful look and turned around, heading to a café behind Times Square!

To allow Ye Anxin to keep up, she deliberately slowed down her pace!

After walking roughly ten minutes, they finally arrived at the destination!

Li Lin chose a secluded corner seat to sit down!

Ye Anxin took a seat across from her!

Li Lin, unusually generous, spoke up, ”What would you like to drink? My treat!”

Ye Anxin glanced at Li Lin, then told the waiter, ”Just some plain water for me!”
