Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 167: Chapter 166: Possessiveness

Ye Anxin and Mu Beiting tidied up together, went downstairs for breakfast, and then headed straight to the nearest pharmacy with the driver driving.

Mu Beiting had Ye Anxin sit in the car while he went inside the pharmacy and bought every type and price of pregnancy test kits and strips available!

Seeing Mu Beiting’s plastic bag full of various pregnancy test kits and strips, Ye Anxin remarked speechlessly, ”Uncle, one test is enough. Why did you buy so many? It’s such a waste!”

Mu Beiting replied indifferently, ”Just in case!”

Ye Anxin sighed helplessly and didn’t say anything more. She directly asked the driver to turn around and head back to the villa.

The current pregnancy tests are much more advanced than before! In the past, they required morning urine; otherwise, they weren’t accurate!

Now, they can be used at any time of the day, with an accuracy rate as high as 98%!

As soon as they returned to the villa, Ye Anxin immediately locked herself in the bathroom.

Mu Beiting sat on the double bed, his thin lips pressed into a line, his deep eyes flashing with an indescribable light.

The wait was the most torturous part.

After ten minutes, the bathroom door finally opened!

Ye Anxin came out with a small face, her lips pouting high, her eyes full of disappointment.

Mu Beiting glanced at her, his thin lips parted lightly, saying calmly, ”You’re still young; there are plenty of opportunities!”

Ye Anxin didn’t respond and slowly walked step by step to Mu Beiting.

Just as Mu Beiting prepared to reach out and pull her into his arms, Ye Anxin suddenly lunged at him, hugged his arm, and kissed him hard on his handsome face. Her downcast face immediately broke into a flower-like smile, ”Uncle, am I really? I’m pregnant, pregnant with Uncle’s child!”

Upon hearing this, Mu Beiting’s face showed no joy; instead, his brow furrowed slightly, ”Are you sure?”

Ye Anxin nodded vigorously, ”Absolutely sure! I used all the pregnancy tests and strips that Uncle bought; they all showed two lines! There’s no mistake about it! So, I’m pregnant, I really am! It’s Uncle’s child!”

Seeing Ye Anxin’s radiant smile, a trace of an inexplicable light flashed in Mu Beiting’s eyes. He responded faintly, ”Hmm!”

Seeing his reaction so calm, completely unlike the ecstatic joy she had expected, Ye Anxin put away her smile and asked sadly, ”Is Uncle unhappy? Does Uncle not want the child in my belly?”

Mu Beiting’s eyes darkened slightly, his thin lips pressed tight, his rough, calloused hand caressed her small face, rubbing it slowly and repeatedly!

Seeing no answer from him, Ye Anxin couldn’t help but call out again, ”Uncle!”

Mu Beiting came back to his senses and said lightly, ”We’ll go to the hospital later!”

Ye Anxin blinked, ”Why are we going to the hospital? I’m not feeling unwell!”

Mu Beiting calmly replied with two words, ”Prenatal check!”

Ye Anxin realized and nodded, thinking it over, she said, ”Uncle, you can go to work! I can go to the hospital myself! I don’t want you to delay important matters because of me!”

”Pete is at the company!” Mu Beiting left this sentence, stood up from the bed, bent down, and lifted Ye Anxin off her feet, striding towards the door.

Ye Anxin exclaimed in surprise, quickly wrapping her arms around Mu Beiting’s neck, ”Oh, Uncle, I can walk by myself, it’s just pregnancy, not like I can’t walk!”

”I like holding you!” he said, planting a kiss on Ye Anxin’s forehead, carrying her straight out of the villa.

The driver drove Mu Beiting and Ye Anxin to Jin City’s best private hospital, the same one where Mu Beiting and Ye Anxin had stayed previously.

Even before they left, Mu Beiting had already called Pete to make arrangements.

So when Mu Beiting arrived at the hospital, the best chief physician in gynecology was already waiting in the office.

The examination was simple, mainly a blood test and an ultrasound; initially, it was just to confirm the pregnancy and rule out an ectopic pregnancy.

During the blood draw, Ye Anxin was very brave, extending her arm directly to the doctor without any hesitation.

On the contrary, Mu Beiting, seeing the thin needle piercing Ye Anxin’s vein, furrowed his brows tightly, his sharp eyes almost boring a hole into the blood-drawing doctor.

Once the blood was drawn, Mu Beiting accompanied Ye Anxin to the ultrasound.

Upon entering the ultrasound room, the doctor was a young, handsome male doctor.

The male doctor, wearing glasses, asked Ye Anxin to lie on the bed, saying softly, ”Miss Ye, please lift your clothes to expose your abdomen and pull your pants down a bit too!”

Hearing this, Mu Beiting furrowed his brows again, coldly instructing the accompanying chief gynecologist, ”Get a female doctor!”

Upon his words, everyone present was stunned.

Seeing their inaction, Mu Beiting impatiently urged, ”Hurry up!”

”Yes!” The chief doctor did not understand what had happened but dared not ask too much, lowered his head, and left to handle it.

”Mr. Mu, did I do something wrong? Why replace the doctor?” The ultrasound doctor broke into a cold sweat, his words trembling a bit.

His fear stemmed from the director’s phone call before Mu Beiting arrived, emphasizing the need to serve and care properly, never to offend or anger Mu Beiting!

Otherwise, his job would be at risk.

Although he didn’t know the true identity of the man in front of him, from the director’s nervous tone during the call, this man was definitely not simple.

So he had been cautious from the start, afraid of inadvertently provoking Mu Beiting!

Unexpectedly, despite his caution, he had still offended Mu Beiting.

The critical point was that he had no idea where he had gone wrong.

Seeing his fearful expression, Ye Anxin couldn’t bear it and quickly explained, ”Sorry, you didn’t do anything wrong! No need to be scared!”

The ultrasound doctor summoned the courage to ask, ”Then why change the doctor?”

Ye Anxin opened her mouth to explain but hesitated, unsure of how to answer.

Should she tell him that the reason for the change was that he was male? Because her Uncle was jealous?

Wouldn’t that make the doctor feel worse?

Just as Ye Anxin was hesitating on how to respond, Mu Beiting spoke up, ”No reason. It’s an order! No one can question it!”

”...!” The doctor was speechless, momentarily at a loss for words.

Fearful of the ultrasound doctor being upset, Ye Anxin quickly offered comfort, ”Sorry, sorry, please don’t mind! My Uncle is just like this, he means no harm!”

Upon hearing this, Mu Beiting’s brows furrowed even more tightly, pulling Ye Anxin closer into his embrace, his strong hand gripping her slender waist tightly.

The doctor adjusted his glasses, observing the possessive hand Mu Beiting had on Ye Anxin’s waist. In an instant, he seemed to understand something.
