Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 156: Chapter 155: The Malicious Stepmother

Every time the water in the bathtub starts out steaming hot, but by the end, it’s ice cold.

Fortunately, it’s summer now, and the hot weather makes it bearable! If it were winter, she definitely wouldn’t be able to stand it.

”I like it!” Mu Beiting declared dominantly, throwing Ye Anxin’s clothes onto a bench and then placing her into the water, tearing off her clothes.

Ye Anxin felt a sudden chill on her chest and quickly used her hands to cover herself.

Mu Beiting pursed his lips, released her, took off his own clothes, and stepped into the bathtub in one large stride.

As Mu Beiting entered, the bathtub overflowed, water spilling over the edges onto the floor.

”Uncle...!” Ye Anxin sat in the bathtub, arms crossed over her chest, watching Mu Beiting warily, as if he were a big bad wolf ready to pounce and devour her at any moment.

Mu Beiting stretched out his long arm, grabbed her wrist guarding her chest, and pulled her into his embrace. His chin resting on her neck, his enchanting voice murmured by her ear like a phantom, ”I’ve seen every part of you, so what’s there to hide?”

”Uncle!” Ye Anxin’s pretty face turned bright red, as she protested with a pout,

Mu Beiting captured her round earlobe, allowing his water-dampened hand to roam delicately over her body, washing her while skillfully teasing her nerves.

Under the influence of his large hands, Ye Anxin felt weak and limp all over, as if she were about to melt into a puddle.

Mu Beiting slightly smirked, seating her on his lap ————

In the bathroom, the air was filled with steam, swirling like mist.

With the rising moans and breaths, the room’s temperature soared to its peak.

No one knew how long it took before the sounds in the room gradually ceased and the temperature slowly dissipated.

When Mu Beiting carried Ye Anxin out of the bathroom, the water in the tub had been changed several times, from hot to cold and cold to hot.

Ye Anxin lay limply in Mu Beiting’s arms, her body marked with traces from neck to thigh left by ****.

Night had fallen.

Mu Beiting placed Ye Anxin on the sofa, carefully wiped away the few droplets of water, then carried her back to bed to lie down.

As soon as Ye Anxin’s body touched the bed, she immediately found a comfortable spot in Mu Beiting’s arms and fell into a deep sleep.

Ye Anxin slept soundly, even when her phone on the bedside table rang, she didn’t have any reaction.

The ringtone on Mu Beiting’s phone was the oldest, the default system tone when the phone was purchased, so it was a lot louder than the usual downloaded ringtones.

Mu Beiting frowned, grabbed the phone from the bedside table, glanced at the caller ID, and then decisively hung up.

Just a minute after he hung up, it rang again.

Mu Beiting’s frown deepened, eventually deciding to shut off his phone entirely.

The room finally quieted down; unlike before, Mu Beiting didn’t go to the study to work once Ye Anxin was asleep, but instead, he slept holding her.

The next day, when Ye Anxin woke up, Mu Beiting was already gone.

Ye Anxin sat on the bed, rubbing her head, feeling like something was off but unable to pinpoint what it was.

For some reason, these past few days, she had felt like something was missing, but she couldn’t recall what it was exactly.

Had she forgotten something? What could it be? Why couldn’t she remember?

Ye Anxin sat and thought for a while, but when she couldn’t figure it out, she decided to drop the thought, got out of bed to freshen up, and went downstairs for breakfast.

There were only two days left until Ling Yueyue’s wedding! Ye Anxin had arranged with her to accompany her for the next two days to try on wedding dresses, take wedding photos, choose dresses, and buy wedding supplies.

So after breakfast, Ye Anxin grabbed her backpack and headed out.

In the bridal shop, Ling Yueyue tried on wedding dress after wedding dress!

Once Ling Yueyue had chosen the wedding photos, Huo Junmo seemed to have timed it perfectly, appearing punctually at the bridal shop.

As soon as the shop door opened, a small figure rushed directly towards Ye Anxin, leaping into her arms and hugging her leg.

Ye Anxin lowered her head and realized it was none other than the long-unseen Huo Jiantian, ”Tiantian!”

Huo Jiantian looked up, tears in his eyes, his mouth quivering, looking pitifully at Ye Anxin, sobbing, ”Waa waa, Sister Anxin, my dad’s getting a stepmother, he doesn’t love me anymore! Waa waa, I want to run away, I don’t want to be abused by a stepmother!”

Stepmother? Ling Yueyue?

Oh! That’s right! Once Yueyue married Huo Junmo, she’d become Tiantian’s stepmother!

A tomboy meets a little trickster...!

Oh heavens, don’t even need to look; it’s clear Huo Junmo’s future days would be quite eventful!

Before Ye Anxin could respond, Huo Junmo’s deep, warning voice rang out, ”Huo Jiantian, if you dare spout nonsense again, I’ll have the driver take you back!”

Huo Junmo’s voice hadn’t even faded when Huo Jiantian’s tears streamed down, crying while still managing to complain!

”Waa waa, Sister Anxin, you see! The stepmother hasn’t even entered the house, and dad’s treating me like this! Once she moves in, won’t there be any place for me anymore! Waa waa... Sister Anxin, take me away! I don’t want to stay in this sad place; I can’t bear to watch my loving dad fall into the spider spirit’s web!”

Ye Anxin and Ling Yueyue simultaneously twitched their lips.

Huo Junmo’s attractive thin lips were pressed into a line, the tip of his brow twitching, jaws clenched tightly.

Only by doing so could he restrain himself from having the urge to harshly reprimand this little rascal.

Ling Yueyue, exasperated, twisted Huo Jiantian’s ear and huffed, ”Hey, you rotten little brat, where am I vicious? Tell me, where am I vicious? I, Ling Yueyue, am fair-skinned and beautiful, kind-hearted, beloved by all, flowers bloom at my sight, how am I vicious? Did I hit you, or curse at you, to deserve such slander?”

”You haven’t even hit me, and now you’re twisting my ear!” saying that, he turned his rabbit-like teary eyes to Huo Junmo, ”Waa waa, Dad, look, she’s bullying me, twisting my ear! Bullying a motherless child like me!”

”You...!” Ling Yueyue was trembling with anger! Had it been before, she would have just rushed over and started a fight!

But this time... the opponent happened to be a mere five-year-old! Punching such a little one felt like a waste of her talent!

Huo Junmo massaged his temples and commanded the driver waiting outside the door, ”Take the young master back!”

”Yes!” the driver complied, stepping inside.

Seeing the driver approach, Huo Jiantian shook off Ling Yueyue’s hand that was twisting his ear, and dashed behind Ye Anxin to hide, clutching tightly onto her leg, ”No, no, I don’t want to! Sister Anxin, save me, Dad wants to lock me in a dark room and prick me with needles! Waa waa... I don’t want to go back!”
