My All-Female Fleet Swept the Galaxy

Chapter 299: Chapter 299: The Zerg Plague in the North Wind Star Domain

[Mission: The Zerg Plague in the North Wind Star Domain

Mission Content: Cosmic Zerg Nests have appeared in multiple locations within the North Wind Star Domain. Several star systems have been attacked, threatening the lives and property safety of tens of billions of civilians.

Mission One: Eliminate thirty T3 Hive Motherships.

Mission Two: Annihilate Zerg units, reaching a total of one billion units.

Mission Three: Rescue civilians whose lives are threatened by the Zerg Plague. Reach certain population thresholds to receive corresponding rewards (5 million, 10 million, 15 million, 20 million, 25 million, 30 million people...).

Mission Four: Choose one of the three specified side mission options.]

Zhao Chen looked at the mission interface that had popped up before him, his expression somewhat surprised.

The information contained in this suddenly appearing mission interface was simply overwhelming.

A Zerg Plague in the North Wind Star Domain?

The System would never fabricate something out of thin air. So, was it saying a Zerg Plague had occurred in the North Wind Star Domain?

Had it already happened, or was it about to happen?

”Report!” Secretary Officer Lilith suddenly rushed onto the bridge, her face etched with anxiety. ”Latest news: Over the past five hours, a large number of Interstellar Zerg Nests have appeared within the North Wind Star Domain.

As of now, we know of five Level 3 Cosmic Zerg Nests, twelve Level 2 Cosmic Zerg Nests, and forty-five Level 1 Nests.

The affected area involves thirteen star systems within the North Wind Star Domain!”

Indeed!

The timing of this System Task’s issuance was truly astonishing.

”And just now, the Governor of the North Wind issued a Star Domain General Mobilization Order,” Secretary Officer Lilith continued. ”It requires star systems not yet affected by the Zerg Plague to dispatch 70% of their lord fleets to support the disaster-stricken systems!”

A Star Domain General Mobilization Order!

This was one of the highest authorities a Star Sector Governor possessed.

It granted the power to command all lord fleets within the star domain, even private fleets, during critical moments.

This indicated the star domain was currently in a highly perilous situation.

And this was happening within just five hours of the Zerg Plague’s outbreak.

Compared to the Zerg Plague that previously occurred in the Water Lily Star System of the Azure Star Domain, this was dozens of times more severe.

Simultaneously, the Governor of the North Wind’s response had been remarkably swift and decisive!

”Relay my orders,” Zhao Chen commanded, issuing the mobilization directive. ”The entire Fierce Dragon Fleet has one hour for military preparation. Immediately enter Level Three Combat Readiness Status!”

Even without the System Task, Zhao Chen could not stand idly by in the face of such a Zerg Plague.

Historical tragedies had long defined these Interstellar Zerg: they must be crushed the moment they appear.

Any hesitation or observation, even for a moment, could allow these Zerg, after obtaining sufficient sustenance, to multiply and expand thousands of times over in an extremely short period.

Zhao Chen’s Fierce Dragon Star System was located within the North Wind Star Domain. He understood the principle of ”when the lips are gone, the teeth feel the cold” all too well.

”Yes, sir!” Secretary Officer Lilith and Deputy Captain Red Eye immediately began contacting the relevant personnel.

The war machine that was the Fierce Dragon Fleet, having rested for over a month, began to stir into operation once more.

Meanwhile, Zhao Chen took a moment to further study his System Task.

There were four mission requirements. Mission One, eliminating thirty T3 Hive Motherships, wasn’t particularly difficult. Previously, Zhao Chen had single-handedly taken down three using just one T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruiser.

The real question was whether there would be enough T3 Hive Motherships to kill.

Therefore, this mission emphasizes efficiency!

We must seize these T3 Hive Mothership kills before anyone else.

Mission Two requires the annihilation of one billion Zerg units. Since there are no detailed specifications, it indicates that the most numerous Terrain Zerg Units are also included.

As long as there is sufficient firepower for the assault, completing this is only a matter of time.

Mission Three is personnel rescue, which is slightly more challenging because saving people is often several times more difficult than eliminating targets.

This involves the Interstellar Transport Ships needed for evacuating personnel, and if the planet is invaded by the Zerg, it means engaging in Surface Combat. The slightest misstep could lead to large-scale casualties.

These three missions are manageable.

The fourth mission is somewhat special—it’s like a mission within a mission? A nested task?

It requires selecting one from three Side Missions.

Zhao Chen clicked to expand the mission options.

[Side Mission One: SP118 Planet Defense Battle

Side Mission Two: Morton Star System Zerg Battle

Side Mission Three: Sapphire Star System Third Planet Rescue Campaign]

These are three completely different Side Missions, each with distinct types.

The first requires planetary defense, the second is an Interstellar Decisive Battle against the Zerg, and the third is an Evacuation Mission.

Zhao Chen wondered: Could I attempt all three Side Missions?

[Ding: The mission requirement is to complete only one, but if the host completes more, Stacked Rewards can be obtained.]

That’s good.

Because these three Side Missions can overlap with the previous three missions. If I can complete one Side Mission while also tackling the other two, obtaining more rewards would be ideal.

If not, it’s no big deal.

After some consideration, Zhao Chen ultimately chose the third Side Mission: [Sapphire Star System Third Planet Rescue Campaign].

Why choose this Side Mission?

The reason is simple. According to the data, the Sapphire Star System has a Stargate, which means convenient transportation. The Third Planet of the Sapphire Star System has a massive population, reportedly as high as two billion!

Even if Zhao Chen doesn’t complete the full evacuation, achieving just one percent of the Evacuation Mission would significantly boost his mission data.

Zhao Chen opened the Star Map of the North Wind Star Domain and located the Sapphire Star System. It is three star systems away from the Fierce Dragon Star System. If there were a direct Stargate from the Fierce Dragon Star System, it might take only half a day to arrive.

However, Zhao Chen must have his Fierce Dragon Fleet traverse the interstellar border space to reach the nearest Arctic Fox System and use its Stargate.

For this leg of the journey alone, the T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruiser is estimated to require at most about two days of travel time.

But for other T2-class Fierce Dragon Fleet Interstellar Warships, it would take around five days.

Fortunately, the North Wind Star Domain’s operations are swift this time. Although the Interstellar Zerg are advancing fiercely, there shouldn’t be major issues in the short term.

”Governor Chu’s suggestion to secure another star system is truly excellent. We should find a way to make it happen in the future. Having a Stargate would make things much more convenient,” Zhao Chen muttered.

For now, the priority is to handle the current situation.

It’s strange to say.

During this period, the Stellar Glory Empire has experienced three Interstellar Zerg attacks within a single year, each one more severe than the last.

The frequency of these Cosmic Zerg Nests appearing is a bit too common, isn’t it?

Could all of this really just be a coincidence?
