Chapter 288: Chapter 288: T4 Interstellar Jump Ship

After giving his instructions, Zhao Chen sat in the captain’s chair and began to ”close his eyes and rest.”

In reality, he had opened the system interface, eager to indulge his little treasure.

[Challenge Task Reward claimed, received 9000 System Points]

Zhao Chen’s System Points immediately began to rise.

[System Points: 9500]

This wasn’t the most important part. Zhao Chen’s current focus was on another substantial system reward.

[Side Mission Reward claimed, received ”T4 Huiguang-class Interstellar Jump Ship” Technical Blueprint]

Zhao Chen was taken aback.

Interstellar Jump Ship?

What kind of strange Starship Type was this? He had never seen it mentioned in any of the Stellar Glory Empire’s learning materials.

Zhao Chen checked its detailed data.

Starship Type: Interstellar Auxiliary Starship

Technology Level: T4

Hull Armor Strength: 3600 units - 3800 units

Stellar Shield Energy Value: 30000 units

Warp Drive: Level Eight Warp Engine

Length: 2800 Meters

Mass: 890,000 Tons

Crew Complement: 500

Starship Weapons: None

Special Capability: Huiguang-type Jump Gate]

Zhao Chen frowned slightly. The basic data of the starship didn’t seem particularly impressive, and most strangely, it wasn’t equipped with any combat weapons—not even the most basic Close Defense Cannons!

It was worth noting that even the T3 Andromeda-class Interstellar Medical Ship had its own Close Defense Cannons for a certain degree of self-defense.

The only thing that stood out was probably the ”Huiguang-type Jump Gate.” Zhao Chen focused on examining this starship technology.

Upon closer inspection, Zhao Chen was astounded.

[Huiguang-type Jump Gate: The T4 Huiguang-class Interstellar Jump Ship is equipped with a Wormhole-type Huiguang-class Jump Engine, capable of briefly opening a Small Jump Stargate, allowing a certain scale interstellar fleet to perform Group Interstellar Jump.]

As the name suggested, although this T4 Huiguang-class Interstellar Jump Ship itself possessed no Combat Capability, it could enable an interstellar fleet to appear in any region at any time!

It wasn’t just a simple starship; it could be called a mobile Stargate!

Zhao Chen’s breathing quickened slightly at this moment, as he clearly realized the value of this starship.

Its strategic significance even far surpassed that of any T4 combat-type interstellar warship!

Just imagine.

You’re at home, holding your wife, eating a meal, drinking wine, humming a little tune.

Suddenly, a batch of Starships appears right above your head!

Surprised?

Shocked?

Dare to move?

This was simply a strategic weapon for Blitzkrieg and Long-range Raid Warfare!

Zhao Chen eagerly continued to examine more data on this T4 Huiguang-class Interstellar Jump Ship.

His first point of focus was naturally how many starships it could deploy in a single operation.

There were quantity limitations, which were also related to the Technology Level of the starships.

If they were all T3-class starships, a single T4 Huiguang-class Interstellar Jump Ship could deploy approximately one thousand T3 interstellar warships, equivalent to three Corps-level Starfleets!

A single use consumed energy resources worth approximately ten million Star Coins!

This was truly a money-burning operation, arguably the most luxurious form of ”Stargate Travel”!

Furthermore, after a single use, it required about a week for the Reset Cooldown and Recharge.

The jump distance, Zhao Chen glanced at it, had no specific limit, but if the distance was too far, the number of interstellar fleets that could be deployed would also decrease.

But at least for now, within the Galactic Alliance region, they could still jump around freely.

After reviewing the performance, it was time to look at some substantial aspects.

First was the construction cost.

A T4 interstellar warship, especially this kind of functional interstellar warship, emphasized one word in its cost: ”expensive.”

The unit construction cost was as high as five billion Star Coins!

”Damn, that’s almost as much as the cost of one of my T3 Stargates!” Zhao Chen couldn’t help but curse in his heart.

With the continuous advancement of technology, the construction costs of T3 and T4 interstellar warships had also increased significantly.

This might also be why, so far, there had been no public sales of T4 interstellar warships.

After all, if they were put up for sale, the price per unit would likely reach tens of billions of Star Coins!

Apart from the Empire itself and a very few top-tier financial groups and nobles, probably no one could afford them; most were self-developed and self-produced or researched and produced through collaborations between several parties.

Expensive as it was, its strategic significance was undeniable.

Zhao Chen glanced at its construction requirements.

Fortunately, its construction requirements were not high; even a T3 Star Industrial Ship could undertake the construction.

If built by the T3 Forge-class Heavy Star Industrial Ship currently under Zhao Chen’s command, it would take about ten months.

However, with multiple T3 Star Industrial Ships constructing simultaneously, the construction time could be shortened to as little as two months.

”I’ll build one next year!” Zhao Chen firmly made the decision. This type of interstellar warship would be extremely useful in critical moments, whether for retreat or attack.

Especially in terms of attack, it could even enable the execution of combat missions that might otherwise have been impossible.

Just as Zhao Chen was carefully studying this T4 Huiguang-class Interstellar Jump Ship, the battle outside was almost over.

Following Commander Zhao Chen’s instructions, a large number of slaves were gathered in the captured interstellar warships.

Five hours after the Fierce Dragon Fleet attacked this Slave Merchant Starport.

Secretary Officer Lilith reported that all tasks had been completed.

”A total of 110,000 slaves, along with over a hundred captured interstellar warships, have all been prepared.

We kept only T2 Starships to ensure they wouldn’t slow us down during our retreat,” Secretary Officer Lilith reported.

[System Task: ”Rescue the Imprisoned Slaves”

Mission Content: There are imprisoned slaves within the Slave Merchant Starport and the surrounding Slave Merchant interstellar fleets.

Activate task completion by rescuing a certain number of slaves.

Completion exceeding 90% will reward a T3-level interstellar warship Technical Blueprint!

System Task completed. Completion: 96%. Task Reward can be claimed.]

Zhao Chen received another reminder of a task reward, and he was now fully satisfied.

It wasn’t in vain that he had planned so many steps earlier, all to complete these two system tasks.

”Then we can prepare to withdraw,” Zhao Chen instructed.

”Yes,” Secretary Officer Lilith began arranging the details of the retreat route.

The Fierce Dragon Fleet and the captured T2 Starships began retreating along the route they had taken to arrive.

At the same time, Zhao Chen continued sitting in the captain’s chair, claiming his second Task Reward.

[System Task Reward claimed. Completion rate exceeding 90%: obtained one ”T3 Triceratops-class Interstellar Heavy Assault Frigate” Technical Blueprint; completion rate exceeding 95%: obtained 5000 System Points, obtained 20 Task Points.]
