My All-Female Fleet Swept the Galaxy

Chapter 298: Chapter 298: Enacting the Lord’s Decree

Soon after, Jiang Hong, the acting lord, quickly began her work.

She formulated detailed decrees based on Lord Zhao Chen’s idea and announced them.

When this decree was announced, the response was intense.

Even members of the Zhao family were astonished.

Fierce Dragon Star System Household Registration?

What an archaic concept—why go through the trouble of implementing this now?

However, Acting Lord Jiang Hong made her stance clear: by the end of January, this order must be disseminated across all inhabited planets within the Fierce Dragon Star System.

She also formed over a thousand task forces to oversee this mission.

The Fierce Dragon Star System Fifth Planet was the most populous planet in the Fierce Dragon Star System.

Although Fierce Dragon Prime had the best ecological environment, it was primarily inhabited by the nobility and middle class of the Fierce Dragon Star System, so its population was relatively small.

In contrast, the Fierce Dragon Fifth Planet was the only industrial planet in the Fierce Dragon Star System, with a permanent population of nearly one billion.

This was also the first place where the household registration decree was announced.

At this moment, task forces responsible for registration were stationed in every residential area.

”Announcement! Announcement! Everyone must sign this document indicating whether they are willing to join the Fierce Dragon Star System!”

Mechanical broadcast announcements echoed throughout the residential areas.

Regarding this so-called household registration policy, some paid attention, while others remained indifferent.

In a cheap bar.

Workers who had just finished their shifts were drinking cheap synthetic artificial alcohol.

”Hey, did you just go sign that household registration document?” a few people asked a thin man, raising their glasses.

The thin man raised his hand and opened his Data Interface, which displayed his personal information.

[Name: Li Daqiang

Age: 29

Household Registration: Fierce Dragon Star System

Current Planet of Residence: Fierce Dragon Star System Fifth Planet

Profession: Low-level Porter

”It’s nothing much. They just collected a genetic sample, registered some information, and asked a few questions. The whole thing took less than three minutes.

Anyway, my family has lived in the Fierce Dragon Star System our whole lives. Signing this doesn’t really change anything,” the thin man said with a simple smile.

The others, however, sneered.

”Look at you, so easily satisfied! I’m telling you, signing this is like signing a contract of servitude! Didn’t you see it says that as long as the Fierce Dragon Star System has needs, you must obey any arrangements!”

”I’m not signing this nonsense. I’m going to be an interstellar adventurer in the future!”

”I bet it’s because of what that lord did before, causing a bunch of nobles to leave the Fierce Dragon Star System. Seeing the population drain, they’re trying to control the star system with this household registration trick. They think we’re fools.”

”But there really are fools willing to sign this!”

”Hahahaha.”

Li Daqiang listened to their mockery but paid no mind. After buying a few things his wife had asked for, he left the bar.

He didn’t care about all that talk. He just wanted to live his simple life.

He originally thought signing this document wasn’t a big deal.

The main reason was that his wife insisted he sign it.

Although there had been some turmoil in the Fierce Dragon Star System following the previous noble incident, it quickly stabilized afterward, and the lives of the common people were visibly improving.

His wife said that our Lord of Fierce Dragon is definitely a good lord who wouldn’t issue unnecessary decrees.

So there must be some opportunity behind this decree, and they must seize it.

Li Daqiang didn’t know anything about opportunities or not; he only knew to listen to his wife. If she said to sign, then he’d sign.

Over at the work team.

”How’s your progress? We must complete the registration for this residential area within three days.” The team leader raised his hand, and rows of registration information appeared before his eyes.

”Our Zone One is basically all registered.”

”In our Zone Three, many are elderly. Those old folks can barely move on their own, so they can’t come to the site!”

Hearing his subordinate’s words, the team leader frowned and scolded, ”Have you forgotten the instructions? For those elderly who can’t come to the site, you go to their homes to register.

Not a single person living on this land can be left out! That’s an order!”

”I just don’t get it. Why is the lord suddenly implementing a household registration system? With just one word from him, we’re running our legs off,” someone complained.

”Did you sign up for the household registration?”

”My father-in-law plans to arrange work in another star system in the future. I won’t be staying here for long, so I’m not signing this nonsense.”

”I didn’t want to sign either, but my father said that since we live in the Fierce Dragon Star System, we should just follow the rules. So I signed anyway.”

The team leader listened to his subordinates’ discussions but didn’t pay much attention.

Truth be told, even he didn’t understand why the lord had issued such a strange order.

But they worked for the lord, and with the salary they received, this was just part of the job.

The household registration policy in the Fierce Dragon Star System was in full swing.

At the same time, the construction of starships for the Fierce Dragon Fleet was also progressing steadily.

Time flew by, and it was nearly the end of January.

Zhao Chen was somewhat looking forward to seeing how many people would willingly join the Fierce Dragon household registration in the end.

The household registration policy was just the first step; the benefits and treatment that followed would be the real sugar-coated bullets!

Only then would the entire Fierce Dragon Star System truly come to life.

”So, after your parents and their Demon Clan fled to the Galactic Alliance, they found a secluded planet in a star system to live on.

They chose to hide their identities and live a peaceful life, but you longed for the outside world, so you ran away.” Zhao Chen looked at Red Eyes.

The two of them chatted about Red Eyes’ family while enjoying some snacks.

Red Eyes nodded. ”Actually, the main reason was when my younger brother was kidnapped and killed by slave merchants. I was furious and wanted revenge.

But my parents chose to endure, believing that retaliation would only bring disaster to our clan.

I disagreed with them, so I ran away on my own.

It’s been almost ten years since I left.”

”Ten years? You haven’t gone back in ten years?” Zhao Chen was surprised, never expecting Red Eyes to have the backstory of a runaway girl.

”I went back quietly once and secretly sent some supplies back.

Actually, our demon race has a relatively long lifespan, with an average of about two hundred years. So ten years might not feel as long to us as you humans might imagine,” Red Eyes explained.

”Now that you’ve taken your revenge, haven’t you thought about reconciling with your parents?” Zhao Chen asked.

Red Eyes smiled. ”In my heart, I’ve already reconciled with them. I can understand that they were considering things from the perspective of our race’s interests.

But I don’t want to go back to that place anymore. I have my own world now, my own wings. Why would I choose to return to that ’cage’ and hide my wings again?”

Zhao Chen nodded in understanding.

[System Task Reminder!]

The sudden voice in his mind made Zhao Chen’s heart jolt.
