My All-Female Fleet Swept the Galaxy

Chapter 278: Chapter 278: The Mischievous System Task

Slave Merchant Starport

”Still no trace of the Bloody Mary Mercenary Corps?” Scarface asked angrily.

”No. Ever since that operation, the Bloody Mary Mercenary Corps seems to have vanished into thin air. But at least our slave transport fleets haven’t been attacked since then, so we’ve achieved our original goal,” another skinny man replied carelessly, holding a beauty in his arms.

Scarface stood up abruptly. ”Second Brother, what do you mean by that? Have you forgotten that those mysterious bastards attacked our interstellar fleet, caused us huge losses, and even destroyed our T3 interstellar warship?”

”That’s because you’re incompetent. Hmph! With such a fleet and a traitor helping from the inside, you still got ambushed and let the prey slip right through your fingers. If it weren’t for His Highness’s generosity, I would have sold you as a slave to the Beast-fighting Arena long ago, forcing you to fight wild beasts until you die!” Skinny Second Brother didn’t bother hiding his mockery.

As the second and third in command of this Slave Merchant Starport, Scarface and Second Brother had always been at odds, frequently competing for each other’s interests. There had even been incidents where they raided each other’s slave fleets and claimed the spoils as their own.

The two nearly came to blows. If the prince behind them hadn’t intervened and threatened to punish whoever dared to fight among themselves first, they would have fought to the death.

Suddenly, a gunshot rang out.

Blood splattered onto Second-in-command Skinny Monkey. He stared in shock at the woman who had collapsed in his arms.

”Enough! Do you want me to report your words to His Highness and let him see how ridiculous you two look? And you, Second Brother, have you forgotten what I said? No mentioning His Highness in front of anyone except the three of us. If there’s a next time, my gun will be aimed at your head!” A three-meter-tall big man sitting in the main seat holstered his laser rifle and scolded angrily.

Faced with this big man, Second Brother and Third Brother were clearly intimidated.

The big man raised his head, revealing his single eye.

The master of this Slave Merchant Starport under the Prince Party was not a member of the Human Race but a Cyclops. They had a humanoid structure but averaged over three meters in height, with their most distinctive features being a bald head and a single large eye occupying a quarter of their face.

Hence, he earned the nickname Big Eye King.

”We must investigate that interstellar fleet that attacked us and rescued the Bloody Mary Mercenary Corps, but our top priority now is to complete the task assigned by His Highness. Recently, His Highness has demanded an increase in slave sales, but we’ve only achieved 80% of this year’s target! If I hadn’t pleaded for mercy on your behalf before the two princes, both of you would have lost at least an arm. For the first quarter of next year, I want you to achieve at least 130% of last year’s same-period target!” Big Eye King said sternly.

”130%? That... that’s too difficult. Over the past few months, we’ve expanded our slave-hunting operations, but interstellar races in nearby star systems have become vigilant, greatly increasing the cost of capture,” Second-in-command Skinny Monkey complained with a bitter face.

Third Brother also chimed in with grievances.

Big Eye King stepped forward, grabbing one person by the neck with each hand. ”I’m not discussing this with you—I’m conveying Prince’s orders. If the quota for next quarter isn’t met, you’ll be the ones filling it!”

”Yes...” Second Brother and Third Brother reluctantly agreed.

”Boss, why has the Prince suddenly demanded more slaves in the past six months?” Second-in-command Skinny Monkey asked curiously.

The next moment, he received a slap from Big Eye King. ”Forgot the rules? Don’t ask what you shouldn’t!”

Third-in-command Scarface, standing nearby, secretly rejoiced, but soon he too was slapped.

”Third Brother, I’ve overlooked your past thefts. But now is a critical time. If you dare pull any more tricks, I’ll chop off your hands!”

”We know we were wrong.” Before Eldest Brother Big Eye King, Second-in-command Skinny Monkey and Third-in-command Scarface behaved as obediently as lapdogs.

Unbeknownst to these three leaders, danger was already looming over their heads.

Outskirts of the Slave Merchant Starport

Five T3 Phantom Sting-class Light Interstellar Stealth Bombers were conducting close-range reconnaissance. Even passing Slave Merchant starships or patrol fleets couldn’t detect these hidden interstellar stealth bombers right under their noses.

After gathering the intelligence, Zhao Wan’er immediately reported to Commander Zhao Chen.

”The defenses of the Slave Merchant Starport are indeed extremely tight. Only five hundred starships are docked inside the starport, while another two thousand five hundred starships are divided into five regional blocks, surrounding the starport from five directions. Unless you infiltrate stealthily like our T3 Phantom Sting-class Light Interstellar Stealth Bombers, it’s nearly impossible to approach the Slave Merchant Starport.”

Zhao Chen rubbed his chin—this was already covered in the intelligence reported by Vice Captain Red Eye.

”Then let’s execute our battle plan,” Zhao Chen said, glancing at Red Eye beside him, who was clenching her fists and struggling to control her emotions. If looks could kill, Red Eye would have already obliterated the Slave Merchant Starport before her.

[System Task Updated]

[Side Mission: Red Eye’s Revenge]

Mission Content: Investigate and eliminate the leaders of the slave trafficking organization under the Prince Party, as well as the fleet commander who attacked the headquarters base of the Bloody Mary Mercenary Corps.

Mission Objectives: Eliminate Eldest Brother Big Eye King, Second-in-command Skinny Monkey, and Third-in-command Scarface.

Challenge Mission: First, capture one of the targets alive, then execute them before Red Eye. Reward: 3,000 System Points.

Task Reward: One T4-class Interstellar Warship Technical Blueprint.

Zhao Chen’s expression changed.

Was this system trying to stir up trouble? Eliminating these big shots was one thing, but it even demanded capturing them alive. Yet, one target was worth 3,000 System Points, and three would be 9,000 System Points.

He had to admit... Zhao Chen was tempted.

What surprised him even more was that three glowing silhouettes appeared before his eyes, each with a string of numbers floating above them.

(3 hours 59 minutes)

Zhao Chen carefully observed the positions of these three silhouettes. By cross-referencing with the star map, he realized they were located in a specific area within the Slave Merchant Starport. One of them, the largest in size, closely resembled the Cyclops race described in the intelligence.

So, to help him complete this mission, the system had directly provided target tracking?

Zhao Chen stared at the flickering numbers and understood what they meant.

That was the time limit for this tracking function. Once the time limit was exceeded, the tracking function would be deactivated.

In the vast sea of people, capturing those three mission targets alive would then become as difficult as reaching the heavens.

This system was truly tempting. Knowing the challenge mission was difficult, it directly gave Zhao Chen a cheat.

It was as if it was constantly tempting Zhao Chen: Sir? Feeling tempted? Action speaks louder than temptation! Come on, baby, let’s go!

[System Task Triggered: ”Rescue the Imprisoned Slaves”

Mission Content: Within the Slave Merchant Starport and the surrounding Slave Merchant interstellar fleet, there are imprisoned slaves.

Rescue a certain number to activate mission completion progress.

If completion exceeds 90%, you will receive a T3-class Interstellar Warship Technical Blueprint!]

Zhao Chen clenched his fists. The system was hitting him with a double whammy!

One ”beauty” wasn’t enough, so it gave him a ”pair of sisters”?

Did it think he, Zhao Chen, would fall for this?

Truth be told, Zhao Chen really did fall for it!

Although Zhao Chen knew executing these two missions wouldn’t be easy, as the saying goes, risk and reward go hand in hand!

Given the current situation in the Stellar Glory Empire, Zhao Chen couldn’t afford to play it safe and develop slowly!

”Wait!” Zhao Chen stopped everyone who was about to take action and said seriously, ”I need to modify part of the combat plan. I will now announce the new battle plan!”
