My All-Female Fleet Swept the Galaxy

Chapter 294: Chapter 294: A Grandfather’s Entrustment

”Currently, under Jiang Hong’s management, the Fierce Dragon Star System has established a new nobility system. Several newly risen nobles are all under our control.

However, because there is still no pillar industry to date, it is not very prosperous.

The annual Tax Revenue of the Fierce Dragon Star System alone currently amounts to only ten million Star Coins.

But the Fierce Dragon Resource Star Sector that was established last year has been completed. The ten equipped Gold Digger-class Heavy Interstellar Mining Ships have already begun operations, capable of extracting raw materials worth nearly fifty million Star Coins per month, with an annual Yield reaching around five hundred million Star Coins.

Moreover, we have arranged for Jiang Hong to build related industrial chains around the Fierce Dragon Resource Star Sector. By then, it is estimated that the Fierce Dragon Star System’s own Tax Revenue can increase by at least tenfold.

Simultaneously, it will provide employment for five million people.

Relying solely on this Fierce Dragon Resource Star Sector, there is hope for the Fierce Dragon Star System’s future annual Tax Revenue to exceed one hundred million Star Coins!” Lilith reported.

Just the peripheral industries of a single resource star sector are enough to bring such high profits to a star system, which shows how important a pillar industry is for a Stellar Territory.

But at the current growth rate, raising the average living index from 0.6 to 7 within a year still poses considerable difficulty.

”How many people are currently left in our Fierce Dragon Star System?” Zhao Chen inquired.

Lilith replied, ”Originally, the Fierce Dragon Star System had nearly five hundred million people. However, due to the previous nobility turmoil incident, some nobles were purged, and some migrated out of the Fierce Dragon Star System.

This led to a massive outflow of population over the past year. Additionally, you instructed Jiang Hong not to restrict population outflow.

So, in just the past year, the population outflow from the Fierce Dragon Star System reached two hundred million, leaving less than three hundred million people!”

This is the so-called ”When the tree falls, the monkeys scatter.”

After all, in the eyes of the vast majority at the time, the Fierce Dragon Star System had no possibility of rising. Coupled with the loss of a group of backbone nobility, the system of the Fierce Dragon Star System was destined to collapse!

Naturally, a group of people tried every means to flee the Fierce Dragon Star System.

Three hundred million... still a bit too many.

Zhao Chen muttered to himself. He didn’t care about the population size within his star system; what he demanded was that the people he supported genuinely wanted to stay in the Fierce Dragon Star System.

”Arrange a meeting with Jiang Hong for me, on Fierce Dragon Prime.

I, as the lord, haven’t shown my face for a long time; it’s time to go back and take a look.” Zhao Chen arranged his upcoming itinerary.

The main purpose, of course, was still for the System Task and that T5 ”Great Beauty.”

”Yes,” Lilith acknowledged.

”Report, commander. Governor Chu He’s communication has been scheduled and can be connected now,” a Starship Crew member on the bridge reported.

”Put it through,” Zhao Chen said, sitting in the captain’s chair.

The next second, he entered the holographic immersive communication mode. The surrounding bridge scene disappeared, replaced by a lakeside view.

He saw an old man holding a fishing rod, casting it as if preparing to fish.

This was a function of the holographic mode, capable of simulating any scene and behavior.

Zhao Chen walked over and looked at Governor Chu, who was holding the fishing rod.

”Kid, you don’t visit without a reason. What brings you to me so suddenly?” Governor Chu said without turning his head.

”To ask you for money. The final payment for the second batch of T3 Flame Dragon-class medium interstellar destroyer technology licensing fees,” Zhao Chen stated directly.

”The second batch of T3 Yanlongs hasn’t been completed yet,” Governor Chu explained the reason for not paying the final installment.

Zhao Chen said, ”My research on the T4 interstellar destroyer has made a breakthrough, but there is a significant demand for raw materials. It is estimated that an investment of ten billion Star Coins in raw material resources will be required.”

Governor Chu turned his head to look at Zhao Chen, eyeing him suspiciously. ”Are you trying to fool me, kid?”

”Do you think I have any reason to fool you?”

”In terms of starship technology, you indeed have no reason to deceive me. Old Zhu has been praising you to me quite often lately, and I heard you helped him solve a technical issue with a T3 interstellar warship. However, gathering ten billion Star Coins’ worth of raw material resources in such a short time is still quite challenging.” Governor Chu gazed at the lake surface, as if waiting for a fish to bite.

Zhao Chen raised his hand and placed several prepared technical data sheets in front of Governor Chu. ”These are some of the technical data from the breakthroughs I’ve made in T4 interstellar warship research recently.”

Governor Chu glanced at them, and his eyes remained fixed. Although he wasn’t a starship engineer by training, having commanded interstellar warships for so many years, even if he hadn’t eaten pork, he had at least seen pigs run. He had some understanding of certain technologies.

The starship technologies Zhao Chen provided mainly included starship energy, starship transmission systems, starship shield technology, and starship armor technology—all without exception were T4-level starship technologies!

”Can I show these to the researchers at my starship research institutes?” Governor Chu asked Zhao Chen directly.

”No problem,” Zhao Chen replied.

Governor Chu didn’t stand on ceremony. He copied a set and immediately sent it to several of his affiliated starship research institutes, demanding a response within ten minutes.

Zhao Chen remained calm and composed beside him.

Zhao Chen didn’t currently have a T4 interstellar destroyer, but it was worth remembering that he now possessed two T4-class interstellar warships: the T4 Huiguang-class Interstellar Jump Ship and the T4 Revenant-class Clone Starship. By extracting some starship technologies from these, he could manage to pass them off. The researchers under Governor Chu might find some of the data peculiar, but as long as these starship technologies were at the T4 level, that was all that mattered.

”How is your Fierce Dragon Fleet coming along? How many T3 interstellar warships do you have?” Governor Chu inquired.

Zhao Chen hadn’t expected Governor Chu to ask this question directly. He hesitated for a moment but decided to answer honestly.

”Over a hundred starships, including 26 T3 interstellar warships,” Zhao Chen admitted frankly.

After all, these were things that would inevitably come to light sooner or later. For his current ”protector” and father-in-law, Zhao Chen felt it was best to be ”honest.”

”Nearly thirty T3 interstellar warships—that combat capability is already equivalent to the private fleet of an Empire Marquis,” Governor Chu nodded, his tone calm. It was unclear whether he was praising Zhao Chen’s actions or implying something else.

”Zhao Chen, let’s be honest with each other. We both know that, from the beginning until now, our relationship has been one of mutual exploitation. I was eyeing the T4 interstellar destroyer technology you could provide, and you were eyeing the reputation of my Chu Family,” Governor Chu said, looking at Zhao Chen.

Zhao Chen smiled without speaking.

”Actually, if you truly have the ability and share a genuine connection with Chu Xuan, I wouldn’t mind if you two really got together,” Governor Chu said.

Zhao Chen replied, ”Such matters still depend on the fate between Miss Chu and me.”

Governor Chu’s gaze shifted to the fishing float on the lake, which had begun to bob up and down.

”As her grandfather, I have a request to make of you. You may agree or refuse,” Governor Chu said, his expression growing complex.

”Please go ahead.”

”If one day in the future, the Stellar Glory Empire undergoes some great upheaval...”

”I hope you can take Chu Xuan and flee as far as you can, never to return.” Governor Chu’s hand gripping the fishing rod tightened unconsciously.
