Not Being a Trainer This Time

Well, besides that, you can use moves like Dig, Earthquake, and Mud-Slap to change the environment and interfere with Miltank.

Of course, the most effective way is to use a Pokemon with flying abilities. That way, Miltank on the ground won’t be able to attack you, and all you need to do is command your Pokemon to attack from the air.]

Tetsuya clicked send, and once refreshed, he saw a lot of people in the comment section cursing the video uploader as a clickbaiter.

That Miltank merely knows how to use Rollout proficiently, it doesn’t look invincible at all!

As the event continued to ferment, this video even caught the attention of Goldenrod Gym’s leader, Whitney.

After watching the video, she gave her evaluation.

[Explosive Beautiful Girl: That Miltank has been bred very well!]

Just from the video, you can see the Miltank’s sleek fur and the strong muscles hidden underneath.

The trainer seems to have conducted specialized strength training for Miltank!

Not bad.

Whitney greatly admires the other party for being able to cultivate Miltank to such a degree; their skill level is practically on par with hers!

Yet in truth, those Miltanks are simply dairy cows responsible for milk production at Naoki Ranch.

Paldea Academy.

The trio nervously watched the video comment section.

”There’s a reply!” The boy slowly read out the responses: ”Disable, Imprison, Taunt, Dig... huh? These are all moves that can come in handy!”

”Hey!” His companion couldn’t help but slap his shoulder: ”Seems like people are cursing us too...”

The girl beside them also saw the complaints about them being clickbaiters: ”I told you, we’d get cursed like this...”

”Wait!” The boy suddenly noticed a comment, pointing to it: ”Look at this!”

The other two quickly turned their heads to look.

Then they saw a contemptuous and questioning comment.

[Prince of Elegance: Hmph, trying to make a big noise, that Miltank isn’t all that, foolish.]

”He’s looking down on Mr. Naoki!”

”Damn! Mr. Naoki is clearly the strongest trainer in Paldea Region! Even the top dog confirmed it!”

Grass Trial, Storm Trial, Thunder Trial—many trainers from the Paldea Region fell during them.

And now, someone dares to question Mr. Naoki’s strength!

”No way!” The boy frowned, typing furiously.

[Fuecoco replies to Prince of Elegance: Don’t you dare say that about Mr. Naoki!]

[Prince of Elegance: Naoki? Is that some big celebrity? Haven’t heard of him.]

[Fuecoco: Mr. Naoki is our hidden champion in the Paldea Region, the most powerful trainer in Paldea!]

[Prince of Elegance: From what I know, isn’t the Paldea Region’s champion Ms. Geeta? She should be the strongest talent, as for this Naoki you mentioned, I just searched, seems like he’s just a rural farmer?]

[Fuecoco: Mr. Naoki is not a rural farmer, he’s the world’s greatest rancher. Hmph, if you don’t believe it, come and try for yourself!]

Prince of Elegance didn’t reply again.

Initially, this matter didn’t cause much of a stir.

But soon, students from Paldea Academy discovered the video and the comments below.

Some who had challenged Naoki Ranch and frequently wandered the school forums stepped forward.

[Litleo: What he said is true! In the Paldea Region, there’s a legend that even if you pass the Paldea League’s champion assessment and defeat the top dog, you’re not the strongest trainer,

Only by defeating Naoki, the hidden boss, can you become Paldea’s strongest person.]

This reply quickly attracted the attention of some outsiders.

After watching the whole process and seeing so many people swear by it, their curiosity was piqued.

Is there something like this?

But isn’t this Naoki person just a rural farmer?

To this, someone explained on behalf of Naoki: [Definitely not! Mr. Naoki used to be a powerful Champion-level Trainer! He felt his strength was too high with no opponents, finding life dull, so he chose to retire, hiding at the ranch with his Pokemon!]

Another imaginative commenter added:

[Correct! Mr. Naoki truly is a very remarkable trainer! He’s so nice! Though retired, he’s established special trials at the ranch to help trainers passing by enhance their skills and guide us in training with Pokemon!]

Seeing these two replies, outsiders became even more interested in this trainer named Naoki.

Soon, a streamer named [Contradicting Snivy] decided to personally go and take a look.

He planned to seize this wave of interest and verify the authenticity of this hidden boss through live streaming for the curious viewers.

That afternoon, Contradicting Snivy purchased a ticket to Paldea Region.

And numerous redirected viewers lined up in his live chat, wanting to see what kind of extraordinary person this Naoki, a farmer, really was.

Even Whitney joined the live chat for fun, wanting to see how that guy trains Miltank.

Meanwhile, Naoki was browsing information about the Pokeball Transmission Machine on the Pokemon shopping app.

The Pokeball Transmission Machine is a technology that allows remote Pokemon transfer through electronic transmission.

It was developed a few years ago by Dr. Bill and his research team, and upon its launch, was warmly received by many trainers.

The reason being, it’s incredibly convenient.

Simply place two machines in different locations, no matter the distance, they can transmit Pokeballs to each other.

This greatly facilitates trainers traveling outside.

Naoki plans to install one at the ranch and another at the Alola Region branch ranch, so that when they go on winter vacation, Pokemon can travel back and forth directly.

Just then, Rotom Phone suddenly popped up with a call from Lono.

Naoki was slightly surprised; didn’t Lono work at this time? Why was he calling?

Wondering, Naoki pressed the answer.

”Hello?”

”Oh my gosh!” Lono hurriedly explained: ”Your name has been spread by netizens to other regions, now there’s a streamer on his way to the ranch, preparing to challenge you!”

Naoki was stunned.

What on earth is going on?

Then, Lono explained the ins and outs of the matter.

After listening, Naoki also found the video.

Upon seeing Fuecoco in the video, he immediately understood everything.

Naoki: ”...”

One avid fan really does surpass ten detractors!

”What are you going to do?” Lono was a bit worried.

Naoki thought carefully and replied: ”Just treat them normally, don’t worry, entertain the challenger with peace of mind, I will handle everything.”

After the call ended, Naoki shook his head helplessly.

Oh well, let them come! He doesn’t have anything to hide.

Naoki adjusted his mindset, ready to welcome challengers from other regions in the way he would usually entertain Paldea Academy students.

Meanwhile, the streamer ”Contradicting Snivy” had already arrived in Paldea Region.

Getting off the plane, he started the live broadcast with his Rotom Phone.

The Rotom, equipped with aerial photography functionality, switched to Levitate follow mode, aiming the front camera at ”Contradicting Snivy.”

As the live stream began, everyone could see the real appearance of Contradicting Snivy.

It was a young man whose complexion was extremely pale, looking somewhat lacking in vitality.

And on the man’s shoulder stood a cool-headed green snake Pokemon.

That was Snivy, the Grass-type starter Pokemon from the Unova Region.

”Hello, family members, as you can see, I’ve successfully arrived in Paldea Region!”

Contradicting Snivy cheerfully greeted the livestream viewers.

”Next, I’m heading to the legendary Naoki Ranch to visit this trainer known as the hidden Boss of Paldea Region to satisfy your curiosity.”

”Haha, if you want to see, remember to hit the little red heart and follow the streamer! To prevent getting lost, alright, the less talk the better, just follow my and Snivy’s footsteps and let’s take a look together!”
