Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 149: Chapter 148: The Junior Manager’s Flexing Chronicles

Eight o’clock the next morning.

Wang Zhefei threw on a floral T-shirt, baggy shorts, and flip-flops. He slipped on the Richard Mille, grabbed the Lamborghini keys, and left home, driving all the way to the office.

He deliberately put the windows down and the top back, even though the morning sun was already getting scorching, making his scalp feel warm.

But... damn, it felt good!

He gripped the steering wheel with one hand, nonchalantly resting his other arm—the one with the Richard Mille—on the open windowsill.

He pulled up to a red light, right at the front of the line. In the next lane, the passenger window of a BMW suddenly rolled down.

A young woman was driving, and another was in the passenger seat.

”Hey, handsome. Where you headed?”

The pink-haired girl in the passenger seat called out with a flirtatious smile.

”It’s a rental. Don’t waste your time hitting on me!”

Wang Zhefei laughed. ’Damn, what a flirt. Can’t even wait at a red light without hitting on your daddy. Get lost.’

But the more he said it, the less they seemed to believe him.

’Who rents a car and then immediately admits it’s a rental?’

’Someone with that kind of swagger wouldn’t be renting a car to begin with.’

’And someone who rents a car just to flex would never be this honest about it.’

Then, her eyes nonchalantly drifted to the watch on his wrist. She grinned and shouted, ”Who cares if it’s rented? It’s not the car that’s hot, it’s you! Add me on WeChat!”

Wang Zhefei: ...

’I’m suddenly starting to understand the joy Lin Chu feels.’

’What man could say no to this kind of fun?’

’No wonder he’s such a pervert.’

’This is what happens when you get spoiled rotten by attention.’

Staring at the red light, which still had over ninety seconds on the clock, Wang Zhefei felt for the first time that a 120-second light was a real pain in the ass.

However, a curious idea suddenly popped into his head. He thought for a moment, then pulled out his phone. ”Alright!”

DING. They were now contacts on WeChat.

”Wait for me at the KFC by the entrance to the tech park up ahead!”

Wang Zhefei sent a voice message. When the light turned green, he deliberately floored it. The engine let out a satisfying ROAR as the car shot forward like an arrow.

The BMW was quickly left in the dust.

However, his phone started chiming nonstop. DING! DING! DING! It was obviously messages from the girl in the BMW.

Wang Zhefei pulled over on the side of the road by the KFC. He glanced at the entrance, hesitated, but decided not to go in. ’Buy her a cup of coffee?’

’Screw that!’

’Forget it.’

’Even an iced Americano at KFC is nine yuan.’

A moment later, the BMW caught up and pulled over behind the Lamborghini.

The two girls got out of the car. Both had exquisite makeup. The one on the left had long legs, while the one on the right had dyed pink hair and a sassy look.

”So, what are you two up to?”

Wang Zhefei asked with a casual smile, while inwardly admitting, ’They really are good-looking. Total knockouts.’

”We’re meeting some people for a murder mystery game. Wanna come?”

Just like that, he was invited.

On the way over, the two had already sized him up. A Lamborghini and a Richard Mille. He said the car was a rental, but was the watch a rental too?

He wasn’t much to look at, but the Lamborghini and the Richard Mille spoke volumes.

This guy was definitely a Brother Fu.

And not just your average rich guy, either.

”Nah, I’ve got work. But hey, I was wondering if you could help me with something. There’s this female colleague at my office who won’t stop harassing me. I need one of you to pretend to be my girlfriend and go up there to put her in her place. Who’s in?”

Wang Zhefei felt like a different person driving this car and wearing this watch. He was already thick-skinned to begin with, and since these were strangers, he just came right out and said it.

He hesitated for a second, but didn’t even bring up money.

’Otherwise, it’d cost at least 500, right?’

’Better to save it. That’s enough to buy my little sister a new outfit.’

His strategy was simple: see if any fish were willing to take the bait.

The two girls were floored when they heard his request. They thought it must be some new kind of pickup line. ’Pretend to be his girlfriend? Go confront some female colleague who’s harassing him?’

Once they processed it, they glanced at each other and couldn’t help but crack a smile.

”So what’s the script? Do I get to hit her? Like, a slap to the face?”

”Like, I just walk in, march right up, and—BAM!—slap her? ’You filthy bitch, trying to seduce my man? I’ll kill you!’... That kind of thing?”

The pink-haired girl from the passenger seat, who had a straightforward and somewhat feisty personality, now looked genuinely interested.

They didn’t look very old and even gave off a slight wild-child vibe; they were at that age where they weren’t afraid of anything.

Wang Zhefei: ...

”That won’t be necessary! Don’t get physical. Just yelling will do.”

”So, are you in or not?”

She raised an eyebrow. ”And how are you going to thank me?”

Wang Zhefei said, ”I’ll take you out for drinks tonight. I’ve still got a Divine Dragon Set stashed at 404.”

It was actually Lin Chu’s reserved liquor.

Lin Chu had told him about it after deciding to stop going to nightclubs.

’I’ve already called him Foster Father, so I have to see this act through to the very end today!’

”Deal!”

”Let’s go!”

The pink-haired girl didn’t hesitate. She immediately linked her arm through Wang Zhefei’s. ”Okay, let’s go over our lines. What’s your name? I’m Xuanxuan. Li Zixuan. Hey, you want to amp up the drama? We could *both* act as your girlfriends! We’ve played over a hundred murder mystery games. We’re total pros!”

She suddenly felt bad leaving her friend out and wanted to add her to the scene.

Wang Zhefei: ...

”No, you guys go. Leave me out of it. I’ll wait in the car.”

The friend who had been driving wasn’t nearly as feisty and rejected the offer with an exasperated smile.

And so, the two of them got into the Lamborghini and headed for his company’s underground garage.

”So, what kind of work do you do, handsome?”

Once in the car, Li Zixuan asked with a wide grin, her eyes sparkling as she stared at Wang Zhefei so intensely it was as if she were trying to pull him in with her gaze.

Wang Zhefei: ...

Ahem.

’Damn, the women at my office are nowhere near this forward. They’re practically saints in comparison.’

”I’m a programmer,” he said, a little exasperated.

”Ooh, then your fingers must be really fast, huh?”

Her tone was coquettish, dripping with innuendo.

Wang Zhefei got the dirty joke instantly. He wanted to curse her out—’Don’t you dare insult my profession!’—but since he needed her help, he took a deep breath instead. ”Stop being so forward for a minute. You need to act like a real girlfriend now.”

Li Zixuan couldn’t help but laugh. ”Alright, alright. Aww, you’re actually pretty innocent, aren’t you? You’re even blushing.”

She had seen it.

That just made it all the more fun for her.

’An innocent rich boy!’

’What a rare find!’

Wang Zhefei: ...

He glanced at her, a flicker of lust igniting within him. ’This is ridiculous. Seriously, it’s insane. Are all young women this provocative nowadays?’

’My self-control is about to crumble.’

’Who the hell could resist this?’

In that moment, he suddenly understood Lin Chu. ’You really can’t imagine your daddy’s happiness!’

’Oh, no, screw that!’

’What’s with all this ”daddy” crap!’

After parking in the garage, Wang Zhefei, for the first time in days, was actually looking forward to going into the office. With the pretty girl on his arm, he puffed out his chest and strode into the elevator.

’Bring it on!’

’Let’s play.’

’Let’s see who can outplay who!’
