Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 114: Chapter 113: Genetic Similarity is Zero

This was a new experience for Lin Chu—approaching a woman for the first time without his usual aura.

This was the gym of a five-star hotel. There were men here with money, men with good bodies, and even men who had both and were better off than him.

There was no doubt about it; there were tons of outstanding people in the world.

He himself still hadn’t managed to get an eight-pack.

And those men who grew up in luxury and were also extremely self-disciplined—the limited-edition, tall, rich, and handsome types—definitely existed too.

But so what?

Lately, Lin Chu’s mindset had become unbeatably confident. Confidence is king, and that’s a man’s best aura.

Just go for it!

Lin Chu walked straight toward her.

Zhang Peng watched from a distance, his heart starting to beat a little faster. The girl was just too beautiful—a perfect ten in his book, whether it was her figure, her looks, or her aura.

Of course, a beauty of this caliber was definitely out of his league. Even if he had a chance, it would have to be after he’d made a name for himself. Otherwise, even if he managed to win her over, he wouldn’t be able to keep her.

He could only count on Brother Chu.

’Go, Brother Chu, go!’

Lin Chu walked up to her. ”Hi. I saw you before when you were swimming. I wanted to come over and introduce myself then, but I missed my chance. This is the second time.”

Up close, the details were just as beautiful.

She was on the treadmill, making her about half a head taller than him. A slender, swan-like neck, a high-bridged nose, long eyelashes, and perfectly rouged lips—she looked like a flawless portrait generated by AI. But with the addition of her eyes, her entire being instantly came to life.

Her bright eyes sparkled.

”Oh, hello. I know you. You’re Mr. Lin, the one staying in the presidential suite.”

She said with a flawless smile, her tone light.

Lin Chu knew she was a hotel employee, though he didn’t know which department. ”Oh? If you know me, that makes things easier. Where did you hear about me?”

She hit the pause button and pursed her lips. ”I can’t say. It’s a secret.”

Lin Chu waved his hand with a smile. ”What’s there not to say? I absolve you of all guilt.”

She replied, ”You really want to know? Don’t get mad when you hear it, and you’re not allowed to file a complaint against me.”

Hm?

Hearing this, Lin Chu suddenly had a thought. ’It couldn’t be because I’m always bringing different women back for the night, could it? The hotel staff, like the cleaning ladies, must see it sometimes. They definitely wouldn’t spread it around outside, but who’s to say they don’t gossip among themselves? If that’s the case... shit!’

”Go on, say it. You’re absolved,” Lin Chu said, still grinning, his posture relaxed.

”Alright, I’ll tell you... I saw you once when I was getting out of the elevator. You were with your girlfriend. She has a really amazing figure, the kind that makes people envious.”

She looked into Lin Chu’s eyes with a cute expression as she spoke.

Lin Chu was speechless.

Ahem.

’Which one are you talking about?’

He thought for a moment. Quite a few of them met the ”good figure” standard, but ”really amazing” probably meant Lin Xiwan.

”What’s your name?”

Lin Chu neither confirmed nor denied it. There was no need to get bogged down in that topic, so he casually changed the subject.

She blushed slightly and said softly, ”Can I not say? It doesn’t sound very nice. I’ve always wanted to change it, but it’s hard to do after you become an adult.”

Lin Chu couldn’t help but laugh.

”That’s normal. You can’t have it all, can you? Go on, tell me. I’ll see just how bad it is.”

She thought for a moment, pouting, still seemingly a bit embarrassed to say her name. She took out her phone and pulled up her WeChat profile.

Lin Chu took a look.

Liao Meili (Beata).

Er.

Lin Chu tried to hold it in, but he couldn’t, and he burst out laughing. It was just... such an old-fashioned name. Kids these days didn’t seem to get names like that anymore; it was genuinely rare. ”Actually, it’s pretty good. Your parents really knew how to pick a name. So simple and unadorned.” ℴℴ𝘮

She was speechless.

”You can just call me Beta. Or Beibei. And stop laughing!”

Lin Chu scanned her WeChat QR code. ”Alright. What department are you in now?”

Lin Chu had already been relaxed, and after laughing, he felt even more at ease.

It was a successful approach. There had been a small hiccup, but it didn’t matter.

”I’m a management trainee at headquarters, but I might be leaving soon. In the second half of the year, I’ll be sent to either Shanghai or the Imperial Capital. I don’t get to decide; I have to wait for the notice.”

She tapped her phone, accepting Lin Chu’s friend request.

She was being quite cooperative.

However, Lin Chu suddenly didn’t feel as excited anymore. He had thought this would be on ’extra hard’ mode, but it turned out to be just ’normal’ difficulty.

Of course, this was probably because he was the client who’d booked the presidential suite for a year—a fact she was aware of.

It was still his aura, after all.

He hissed a breath through his teeth.

’I’m kind of an ass, aren’t I?’

’Would I prefer it if the girl put on an icy expression and rejected me?’

”Added. I’ll ask you out for dinner this weekend. I’ve got work this morning, so I’m heading out.”

Lin Chu said casually, then got up and left.

She watched him leave, looking a little speechless as she pursed her lips. ’I didn’t even agree yet!’

’Besides, don’t you have a girlfriend?’

’More than one, at that.’

...

Zhang Peng, of course, had no idea what the two had talked about. All he saw was Lin Chu standing in front of her, chatting and laughing happily, and finally adding her on WeChat.

What else could that mean?

It had to mean he’d succeeded in the first step!

Awesome!

Brother Chu is the man!

’As expected of you!’

”How’d it go?”

When Lin Chu returned, Zhang Peng glanced over and saw the girl was still watching Lin Chu’s back. Pretending to be lifting weights, he asked in a low voice.

Lin Chu sighed. ”It was whatever.”

Zhang Peng was speechless.

’You’re really humble-bragging right now. What do you mean, ”It was whatever”?’

”What’s her name?”

Lin Chu jutted his chin, showing him the profile on his phone.

Zhang Peng didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. He held it in for a few seconds before saying, ”A very simple name. It’s nice.”

Lin Chu let out a soft sigh.

’She’s truly beautiful, and my taste is impeccable, but that name is truly awful. Not that a name really matters, though.’

The main issue was the lack of difficulty. It made Lin Chu feel like he had wound up for a powerful punch, only to hit nothing but air.

’I’ve got all these skills, and I didn’t even get to use ten percent of them!’

At that moment, a realization hit Lin Chu.

—Actually, the truly top-tier beauties often aren’t hard to approach. The difficult ones are the high-maintenance, overly dramatic types, the insecure ones, the ones whose lives aren’t going well, who have a cynical view of men... and so on and so forth. Those are the ones who are harder to pick up.

Of course, looking at it the other way, if she was easy for him to approach, it probably meant she was easy for others to approach too.

Heh...

The rose-colored glasses had already shattered during their conversation.

’I really jinxed it with my own words.’

’What goddess? There’s no such thing.’

...

They went to the adjacent restaurant to grab some breakfast.

While they were eating, Zhang Peng was scrolling through his phone. Suddenly, he found something and said in a low voice, ”Brother Chu, you don’t think this girl is trying to trick you, do you?”

Hm?

Lin Chu looked at him, confused. ”What do you mean?”

”I just looked it up. The boss of the South China division of this hotel management group is also named Liao, and she’s a woman.”

”Here, look.”

He handed his phone to Lin Chu.

Lin Chu glanced at it and saw an older woman in her fifties with high cheekbones, who definitely looked like a rich lady. He glared at Zhang Peng. ”The genetic similarity is basically zero. Even if her dad were Daniel Wu, there’s no way!”

Zhang Peng... couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

...

...
