Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 131: Chapter 130: Opening One’s Eyes to the World

What Gao Haitao said was quite surprising, but Lin Chu didn’t think it was a big deal.

’First of all, it has little to do with me.’

’Second, even if he really is a wanted fugitive who fled here from China, the guy’s been reduced to selling bananas. He must be having a miserable time.’

’I’ve got a whole fucking company under me.’

’A whole company!’

’To put it dramatically, I could practically start my own sect in a small town like Bohe Island. Assuming the law allowed it, of course.’

”Do you know how to shoot?”

”Want me to get you a gun?”

Lin Chu looked at him, then asked with a smile.

Gao Haitao thought for a moment, a serious look appearing in his eyes. After some consideration, he said in a low voice, ”If we can get them, that would be acceptable. It would mainly be for emergencies. But there’s no need to equip all the men. I’m afraid some of them aren’t mature or stable enough. If you have the right channels, let’s get three. Handguns will be fine. I’ll promote two of the most reliable guys to be squad leaders, just in case we need them.”

A fear of being under-gunned is a common affliction.

Gao Haitao had struck a perfectly confident balance between firepower and safety.

Lin Chu nodded in approval of the plan.

’He’s reliable.’

’A man in his thirties with a family to feed really thinks things through.’

’If this were some hot-blooded, headstrong young buck, he’d probably want an AK in one hand and a rifle in the other, screaming about making it big.’

...

As night fell, the courtyard lit up with the brilliant, flickering glow of colorful lights.

When Lin Chu finished changing and walked out of his room, he found the yard below already filled with boisterous laughter. The shirtless men and bikini-clad women looked like a pack of horny dogs who had shed the thin veneer of civilization for a massive party.

Xiong Jianwu hadn’t come alone; surprisingly, he’d even brought his wife and two children.

His wife appeared to be of mixed race—tall and slender, with a willowy frame and a full bust. She was filled with the charm of a mature young wife. The Philippines was once a colony of Portugal, which resulted in a large mixed-race population.

The boy looked to be about seven or eight, the girl five or six. They were like two exquisite porcelain dolls, with fair complexions. ’Wealthy families, after all, take good care of their own.’

As Lin Chu walked over, Xiong Jianwu hurried to greet him, introducing with a beaming smile his wife, Huang Yajin; his son, Xiaoxiong; and his daughter, Coco.

He was creating the atmosphere of a family dinner.

Lin Chu figured he must genuinely want to be his friend, so he also smiled and said, ”Welcome, welcome. You’re a lucky man—a beautiful wife and both a son and a daughter.”

Xiong Jianwu grinned broadly and raised his eyebrows. ”We get by. Not like I can divorce her or anything, right?”

That was the classic tone of someone from the Northeast. Lin Chu couldn’t help but laugh.

But...

However, what Xiong Jianwu said next shattered Lin Chu’s composure.

”When I first got here, I was a boatman, working like a fucking black slave. I got to know an older fella back then—that’s her dad—and I’d often go over to their place for dinner. She was only nine at the time, just a little girl. Ten years later, she married me. Kinda like a child bride.”

Lin Chu: ???

’What the fuck?’

’What kind of groom-your-own-wife situation is this?’

His wife, Huang Yajin, who understood Chinese, reached out and pinched him, though her playful rebuke was delivered with a smile.

Apparently, this kind of joke was just part of the couple’s fun.

The main thing was, women over here seemed to be quite submissive, treating their husbands as their entire world.

Lin Chu figured Da Xiong had probably even picked out her name.

’Brother Xiong, a true one-man Sinicization team.’

The man was six-foot-three and over two hundred pounds, with a layer of fat covering solid muscle. His genes were truly powerful, too—his son and daughter looked no different from kids back in China.

At that moment, Lin Chu felt like his eyes had truly been opened to the world.

Listening from the side, Liu Junfeng seemed a little tempted. An older man, scarred all over by love, he spent his days in debauchery for the simple reason that he didn’t trust any woman. But now, he suddenly thought that if he could really ”raise” one of his own, then maybe... he could live out the second half of his life in bliss, too.

However, the thought was a bit too wicked, so he didn’t dare make a sleazy comment out loud.

But in his heart, the idea took root.

’Make big moves, but keep it quiet!’

’No one needs to know!’

...

The men and women soon gathered, drinking and eating. They all seemed to have a tacit understanding, naturally splitting off into smaller groups based on closeness, status, and drinking capacity.

Lin Chu’s small, four-person square table consisted of himself, Da Xiong, and Liu Junfeng.

Lu Ming had wanted to take the remaining seat, but he hesitated and then backed away. ’Fuck, I can’t out-drink them. If I get wasted, I’ll mess up my plans for later tonight.’

’How much better would it be to drink with a sweet-smelling, soft, fair-skinned girl? Why would I force myself to join them?’

Li Kai never even considered coming over; he was hot and heavy with his dive buddy.

Gu Jiayan didn’t drink, so he wouldn’t have come over here anyway.

Lin Xiwan glanced over, came to say hello, and explained that she was preparing for a dive in a few days and had been staying off alcohol, so she couldn’t drink. She then went over to the kids’ table.

He glanced at her, just smiling and nodding. He didn’t mind.

Liang Jieyu, poised and graceful in a black swim dress, leaned lightly against Lin Chu’s back. ”Brother Chu, is this seat taken?”

”Can you drink?”

”If you can’t drink, go play somewhere else.”

When it came to drinking, Lin Chu was actually quite chivalrous. Even at a Business KTV, he never forced girls to drink. He looked down on that sort of behavior, finding it too classless.

”Oh. I can’t drink much, but I’d like to listen to you guys talk. I can get you snacks,”

she said with a bright smile.

”Go ahead, sit.”

Lin Chu waved his hand.

Da Xiong glanced over thoughtfully, then smiled faintly. He raised his glass to clink with Lin Chu’s and said casually, ”President Lin, you’re not married yet, are you? Being so young...”

”Nope. I’m only 24. Haven’t had my fill of fun yet.”

Lin Chu said bluntly, positioning himself as a player, determined not to go down the ”good man” path.

Hearing this, Liang Jieyu’s expression remained unchanged. She rested her chin in her hands, like a sunflower in a vase, her sparkling eyes fixed on Lin Chu.

”Fair enough. That’s how it should be,”

Da Xiong casually agreed.

After a moment’s thought, Lin Chu changed the subject, mentioning the ”man selling bananas.”

Hearing this, Da Xiong wasn’t surprised in the slightest; he’d seen plenty of cases like this. He just laughed. ”They’re all a bunch of losers. The public security back in China is good, so these types can’t survive there and end up running over here. Why would they dare cause any trouble? They’ve been reduced to selling bananas. They probably can’t even afford to eat.”

That assessment matched his own.

With that, Lin Chu was completely reassured.

After shooting the breeze for a while, Da Xiong seemed to be getting hot and took off his T-shirt.

Lin Chu noticed a mark on his shoulder blade—a triangular patch of callused skin—and felt a flicker of interest.

Noticing Lin Chu’s gaze, Da Xiong quickly laughed and explained, ”Heh, I also own a shooting range. I go shoot for fun sometimes. All the paperwork is legitimate, and we get quite a few tourists.”

”This place, well, it’s just free. There’s not a lot of oversight. Kinda like in America.”

Lin Chu nodded and said nonchalantly, ”Get me three. Handguns will do. For self-defense.”

’Holy shit!’

Hearing this, Liu Junfeng jumped. His sharp Adam’s apple bobbed as he felt a surge of adrenaline.

’Is Brother Chu really playing this big?’

’What is he planning to do?’

Liang Jieyu was also completely stunned, her expression frozen. Her beautiful eyes filled with shock, and all she could think was how incredibly audacious he was.

Da Xiong’s eyes flickered, but he just smiled casually. ”Sure, no problem. If you have time tomorrow, go pick them out yourself. No need for money, it’s on me. We’re friends, after all...”

Lin Chu laughed. ”Oh, that’s not necessary. I’m not looking to buy, just to rent. I’ll return them before I head back home. I just want to scratch an itch.”

Hearing that...

The other three all seemed to let out a collective sigh of relief.

’Bro, don’t be so scary. That was terrifying.’
