Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 101: Chapter 100: Brother, Don’t Cry

The three cars arrived at the parking garage one after another. Lu Ming had already paid and was heading toward the elevators.

Suddenly, Fang Weidong’s expression shifted. He stared straight ahead, frozen in place as if he were paralyzed.

Lin Chu had walked a few steps before he realized Fang Weidong wasn’t following. He turned back, surprised.

”What’s wrong, Dongzi?”

Following his gaze, Lin Chu saw a man and a woman by the elevators, making out while they waited.

The man was young and handsome, with meticulously styled features, dressed in a white casual suit. His curly hair was a light, fashionable gray—obviously dyed. The woman was in a professional skirt suit and high heels, the very picture of an elite white-collar professional.

Lu Ming saw the scene too. As if something suddenly clicked, he instinctively grabbed Fang Weidong’s arm.

But it probably wouldn’t have mattered even if he hadn’t.

Given Fang Weidong’s personality, he wasn’t the type to rush in and start a fight.

His eyes were red and welling up, completely overcome with emotion.

Lin Chu: ...

He glanced over again, recalling how Fang Weidong had mentioned at yesterday’s gathering that his ex-wife had cleaned him out of three properties in the divorce.

’That woman by the elevator must be his ex-wife.’

For some reason, Lin Chu almost wanted to laugh.

But he forced himself to hold it back for his friend’s sake.

’The poor guy.’

’Best not to provoke him.’

”Ahem...”

Lin Chu gave a soft cough. Just as he was about to say something, the elevator doors opened, and the couple started to step inside.

Fang Weidong suddenly shouted, ”Zhang Xiao!”

He shoved Lu Ming’s hand away and ran towards the elevator. Lin Chu snapped out of it and grabbed him, managing to hold him back.

By the elevator, the woman named Zhang Xiao turned around. She was indeed quite beautiful. She had an oval face, upturned almond eyes, and gracefully curved eyebrows, giving her a look that was both sharp and stunning.

Looking at Fang Weidong, her eyes showed a hint of unease, but she quickly recovered and put on a civil smile. ”Well now, long time no see. How have you been?”

Fang Weidong was heaving for breath, feeling like he was about to explode.

Even though she was his ex-wife, seeing her in a hotel parking garage with another man made his blood boil.

And her breezy, nonchalant attitude only fanned the flames of his fury.

Because he had loved her.

He had truly loved her.

”Is there something you need? If not, we’re leaving. Bye.”

She said it dismissively, holding the closing elevator door open and stepping inside.

Her ”boyfriend” beside her also followed her in. He looked slightly nervous but didn’t dare ask any questions.

’This woman is a force to be reckoned with, but she’s rich.’

Lin Chu’s brow furrowed. He took a deep breath and, dragging Fang Weidong along, walked toward the elevator as well.

Jin Jiaying was quick-witted. She moved faster, jogging ahead to quickly press the open button, keeping the elevator from leaving.

The four of them then squeezed into the elevator.

Inside the fairly spacious elevator, Fang Weidong was speechless, looking at his ex-wife Zhang Xiao, then at the gray-haired kid beside her.

His face was flushed red, and his body was trembling slightly.

Even though the elevator’s air conditioning was blasting, he felt like a pressure cooker about to explode.

’But... what can I do?’

’Getting physical is basically taboo in modern society.’

’It’s not in my nature, anyway. I could never hit a woman.’

’Start screaming and cursing?’

’But what does she have to do with me anymore?’

’Besides, I’d lose a shouting match with her anyway.’

Zhang Xiao was a lawyer. She was glamorous and very capable; otherwise, he wouldn’t have fallen so hard for her back then.

At this moment, he felt an endless sense of humiliation but was truly helpless.

”So you’re Dongzi’s ex-wife?” Lin Chu suddenly spoke up, his tone casual.

Zhang Xiao glanced at him, then turned her head away, unwilling to engage.

”Brother Chu is asking you a question!” Lu Ming added, his tone heavy.

She glanced at Lu Ming, took a deep breath, and pulled out her phone. ”Don’t harass me, or I’m calling the police. I don’t know any of you. Yes, he and I were once husband and wife, but marriage is a legal relationship. We are now divorced, and that legal relationship has been terminated. Legally speaking, we are now strangers.”

She certainly had a powerful aura. She spoke with cool confidence, phone gripped in her palm, showing no signs of fear.

Lin Chu watched her, his eyes as calm as still water.

Suddenly, he turned to the gray-haired kid and put a hand on his shoulder. ”Hey buddy, what do you do for a living?”

The kid licked his lips and shrank back nervously, half-hiding behind Zhang Xiao. He didn’t say a word, looking quite timid.

Zhang Xiao glanced at her phone again. There was no signal in the elevator, but she still made a show of dialing, pressing the three digits.

Then she held up the phone, put it on speaker, and stared brazenly at Lin Chu.

Just then, Fang Weidong started to lose his nerve. He tugged on Lin Chu’s arm. ”Brother Chu, forget it. This is my problem, you guys don’t need to get involved.”

’It’ll be a huge hassle if this blows up.’

Lin Chu finally lost it, cursing, ”You’re so fucking spineless! I’ve had it with you!”

Then he turned to Zhang Xiao. ”Go on, make the call! Hurry the hell up, I’m waiting! Lu Ming, call Lawyer Xiong and tell him to get ready to bail me out of jail. Who the fuck do you think you’re scaring!”

”And you, you little punk, get lost! Or else I’ll find out what you do by tomorrow, and we’ll see how I deal with you then.”

Lin Chu rolled up his sleeves. He didn’t make a move, but his thuggish aura was on full display.

Zhang Xiao felt threatened. She began to seriously size up Lin Chu, then glanced at the woman next to him—tall and graceful in a golf outfit, yet clinging to him like a timid bird. She immediately got the feeling that these were not people to be trifled with—the type with money and power.

DING.

The elevator doors opened.

She hurried out, letting go of her ”boyfriend’s” hand, and jogged towards the security guards in the hotel lobby.

’Safety first.’

’Retreat is the best option.’

Lin Chu shouted after her, ”Stop her! I think she’s a prostitute! She just asked if we wanted her ’services’!”

The hotel security guards froze for a second, instinctively looking her way, but they didn’t make a move to grab her.

Even if it were true, security guards don’t have the authority to arrest anyone for something like that. At most, they could escort her out.

Disgusted and rattled, Zhang Xiao shot an angry glare over her shoulder and continued to walk quickly towards the main entrance.

’Psycho!’

’How can such a disgusting man exist?’

’Lunatic!’

Lin Chu didn’t chase her, however. He just watched calmly.

Lu Ming couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

’That line from Brother Chu was vicious.’

Fang Weidong glanced at Lin Chu. Beyond his shock, he felt as if the anger pent up inside him had been punctured and was now venting.

”Bro, this has nothing to do with me, really! We met on a dating app. This is our first time meeting, really, I swear!” the gray-haired kid explained in a panic now that the woman had fled.

’This guy is way too aggressive; he’s terrifying. I’m really scared. If he beats me up, there’s nowhere I could go to complain.’

Lin Chu looked at him. ”Take out your phone. Let me see your WeChat history.”

He....

He quickly racked his brain. Figuring there was no particularly sensitive information, he took out his phone and opened his WeChat chat list. ”Bro, there’s really nothing...”

Lin Chu took the phone. ”Who the fuck flirts on WeChat? You think I’ve never done this before? What app did you meet on?”

The kid’s expression changed. ”Tan... Tantan.”

Lin Chu opened it and casually handed the phone to Fang Weidong. ”Dongzi, care to take a look?”

Fang Weidong’s Adam’s apple bobbed. His composure completely shattered. He gave Lin Chu a sheepish, awkward look.

He wanted to look but felt too embarrassed.

”What a fucking lost cause...”

”Get the hell out of here!”

Lin Chu tossed the phone back to the gray-haired kid and cursed irritably.

The kid immediately fled in a panic, running towards the main entrance.

Lin Chu then looked at Fang Weidong. ”You can get lost too. Take your money back tomorrow. I don’t hang out with cowards like you.”

At these words, Lu Ming was stunned.

’Isn’t that a bit too harsh?’

He had never seen this fierce a side of Lin Chu before.

Fang Weidong’s face flushed crimson, but he couldn’t bring himself to be angry. He even felt that he really was pathetic.

He gave Lin Chu a deep look, his nose starting to tingle.

”Well... goodbye then.”

He turned to leave.

Like a child who had done something wrong.

The moment he turned, his nose tingled again, and tears almost fell.

He hadn’t even had a chance to press the button for the down elevator when he felt a firm grip on his shoulder.

It was Lin Chu, who grabbed him and pulled him back. ”You’re really leaving? Damn, a grown man, and you’re crying. For fuck’s sake, let’s go. We’re getting massages...”

”Can’t you show a little backbone?”

Fang Weidong felt like he was on a rollercoaster. He was a little angry, but not much. There was even a hint of pleasant surprise.

’He wasn’t actually disgusted with me.’

”I... Brother Chu... sigh...”

He let out a long sigh.

Lu Ming also smiled, putting an arm around his shoulder and saying earnestly, ”Brother Dong, your reaction just now was too much. Both of us were about to do something, we were even ready to call a lawyer, and you just stood there without saying a word...”

”Bro, wake up! You’re the main one involved here. We were sticking up for you... but really, it’s none of our fucking business, right?”

”Sigh, you should learn a thing or two from Brother Chu. Otherwise, you’re just going to get screwed over again in the future.”
