Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 118: Chapter 117: Bro, Are You for Real?

”Huixian, I wanted to ask, what are the price ranges for your jewelry?”

After the dinner ended, Lin Chu said his goodbyes, got in his car, and casually sent her a message.

At that moment, Yang Huixian was already on her way back to the office. Her female assistant was driving steadily while she sat in the passenger seat. Seeing the message, a smile that had seen through every trick in the book appeared on her lips.

’This man... is he really starting to hit on me already?’

’Men with a bit of money always start by playing the customer to show off their financial muscle, right?’

”We have all sorts of price ranges. From tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands, millions, even tens of millions. It all depends on what tier you’re looking for.”

Though these were her thoughts, she replied politely with a voice message. Her voice was even a little sweet, with a gentle tone completely different from how she’d been at dinner.

’Business is business. Can’t just push a potential customer away.’

Hearing her voice, Lin Chu also noted the stark contrast.

’Tsk.’

’She’s quite the professional.’

”What’s your most expensive piece? And the price?”

Lin Chu sent a voice message back.

Seeing his message, Yang Huixian pursed her lips.

’I hate it when they just ask for prices. Are you actually going to buy it?’

’Or are you just making empty promises?’

Muttering to herself internally, she continued in her sweet tone, ”Currently, our store’s crown jewel is a Precious Treasures of Tianlu Imperial Green Jade Beaded Curtain. It’s listed at 62 million. Are you interested in buying it, Mr. Lin?”

As she finished, she couldn’t help but add a little jab.

However, the moment she sent the message, she had a change of heart and instantly retracted it. She re-recorded her reply, changing the last sentence to: ”If you’re interested, you can come by and take a look.”

’Forget it, forget it. No need to be prickly.’

’I can’t be biased against a client. This is a client, not ’the guy from my blind date’ anymore.’

DING-DONG.

Another notification sounded from her phone. She opened it, and Lin Chu’s nonchalant voice came through: ”Alright, I’ll buy it.”

Hiss...

In an instant, Yang Huixian’s heart began to race. Her scalp tingled, and a jolt shot through her entire body.

’Wait, dude, are you for real?!’

’That’s 62 million!’

She seriously suspected Lin Chu was just messing with her, but she couldn’t be sure. What if he was serious?

Just as she was wondering how to reply, a voice call from Lin Chu came in.

”Mr. Lin, hello.”

She maintained her gentle, sweet tone, sounding a little solicitous.

Lin Chu said coolly, ”Yes, is now a good time for me to see it? It’s still early, and I don’t have anything else to do.”

She replied, ”Oh, yes, of course! It’s a perfect time. Should I send you the location?”

Lin Chu: ”Sure. I’ll head over now.”

She: ”Great. Please come over. I’ll get things ready at the company. We look forward to your visit.”

But then Lin Chu teased, ”You’re a real quick-change artist, you know that? There’s no need for all that, really.”

She blushed slightly and chuckled softly. ”What then? Should I go back to my wild and untamable act?”

Lin Chu: ”That won’t be necessary either. Alright, see you in a bit.”

He hung up.

Yang Huixian stood there, a bit stunned. Her face was slightly flushed with excitement. This was too shocking, too much of a pleasant surprise. It was almost unimaginable, bordering on insane.

’He isn’t actually trying to pursue me, is he?’

’No, I mean, even if he is, sixty million...’

’I feel like even I’m a little out of my depth here.’

It wasn’t that she didn’t think she was worth sixty million, but if a man was really willing to do all this for you... just thinking about it made her blush and her heart pound. It was so romantic and exciting.

”President Yang, do you have a client?”

Her female assistant, who was driving, asked with a smile.

Yang Huixian glanced at her and said casually, ”Mhm. He said he wants to buy our store’s crown jewel.”

”Wow! Is it that guy from before, your blind date?”

The assistant grew excited, asking in a gossipy tone.

She nodded, lightly licking her lips, her eyes filled with amusement.

”Well, he’s certainly showing some sincerity! But then again, a prize like our President Yang... I can just picture it now. He buys it, then puts it on you... wow, just thinking about it is so romantic it could kill me.”

’Hmm?’

Hearing her assistant say that, Yang Huixian pictured the scene as well. Her heart beat a few ticks faster. Indeed, the thought was absolutely thrilling.

”If that happened, I might really fall for him.”

”That’s the Precious Treasures of Tianlu Imperial Green we’re talking about! If the company wasn’t at a point where we need the cash flow this year, I would have kept it for myself. I love it so much. It belongs on my neck! I’d never take it off in my life!”

The assistant laughed out loud.

After a pause, she added, ”But even if he buys it for you, that man wouldn’t be losing out. Think about it: he gives you the Precious Treasures of Tianlu, and if you agree to be with him, won’t it all be his in the end anyway? The jadeite and the girl. He’d be making a huge profit!”

Yang Huixian’s expression froze for a moment.

She hadn’t calculated it like that.

But she quickly broke into a smile, a hint of longing in her eyes. She said dreamily, ”It would still be worth it. For a woman to experience something like that just once in her life is thrilling enough. Even if we broke up later, I wouldn’t have any regrets.”

The assistant: ...

”Boss, I’m begging you, don’t get all love-struck! You’re going crazy! Snap out of it, snap out of it.”

Yang Huixian shot her a look. ”Of course I know that!”

...

The location Yang Huixian sent was for Huixin Jewelry, a gold and jewelry design studio in Shuibei.

When Lin Chu arrived and got out of his car, he was surprised to find Yang Huixian already waiting for him at the entrance. She was still wearing the silk scarf, looking luxurious and elegant, with her female assistant by her side.

”Mr. Lin, perhaps we should reintroduce ourselves? I truly didn’t expect you to grace my business with your patronage.”

Yang Huixian proactively stepped forward to shake Lin Chu’s hand, looking every bit the sophisticated and savvy female CEO with a flawless smile.

She was like a completely different person from dinner.

Lin Chu raised an eyebrow and teased with a smile, ”I don’t think that’s necessary. We already know each other, don’t we? I’m still waiting for you to take me clubbing.”

Yang Huixian: ...

She couldn’t help but let out a laugh.

Feigning a pout, she waved her hand. ”You’re making fun of me. That was just to handle my dad; the situation was different. I would like to formally apologize. I’m sorry for any offense caused, and I hope you can forgive me, President Lin.”

She bowed slightly, speaking with great sincerity.

A hint of appreciation appeared in Lin Chu’s eyes.

’You have to admit, this contrast is extreme.’

’A moment ago, she was like a little punk. In the blink of an eye, she’s like this.’

”Hey, are you sure you’re not your own twin sister? It’s like you have a split personality... Let’s go. We’ll take a look inside first.”

Lin Chu cracked a joke and headed through the door.

She pouted, sticking her tongue out and making a face behind his back. ’How could they be the same?’

”What would you like to drink?”

”I’ll have my assistant prepare something. We drank quite a bit earlier, so it’ll help you sober up.”

”This way, to the third floor, please.”

Inside the store, the first floor looked like a typical gold shop. Lin Chu suddenly remembered that he seemed to have come to this very store when he bought that bag of gold for Li Kai. Of course, there was no connection back then; he was just passing through. ’Fate is a strange thing,’ he thought.

”Tea is fine.”

Lin Chu said casually, following her into the elevator and up to the third floor.

Soon.

Lin Chu saw it: the Precious Treasures of Tianlu Jadeite Necklace. It rested in a transparent display case, and under the lights, the Imperial Green color was exceptionally deep and translucent. It was truly beautiful, beautiful beyond description.

Even someone like Lin Chu, who had never bought jadeite before, could feel its ultimate luxury.

’It really is gorgeous.’

”Is this your work?”

Lin Chu asked offhandedly.

Yang Huixian smiled and said, ”Not this one. It’s the work of my teacher, the national-level master of arts and crafts, Wang Cui. This piece was from the Poly Spring Auction three years ago. I loved it so much that I had to acquire it.”

”To be honest, I’m a little reluctant to sell it. I’m truly fond of it myself.”

She said this with a hint of suggestion.

Lin Chu glanced at her and smiled faintly. ”Alright then. Take it out so I can have a look. If it’s good, I’ll take it.”

She bit her lip, and for a moment, her heart skipped another two beats.

On the phone or on WeChat, it was still possible for Lin Chu to back out. He would lose a little face, but that was it.

But now that he was in the store and still saying such things, it was almost impossible for him to flake.

’He...’

’He isn’t really going to buy it for me, is he?’

At that moment, glancing at Lin Chu, Yang Huixian suddenly felt that this man was actually quite handsome.
