Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1549: Chapter 1533: Little Power-Eating Monster

”It’s okay, sister, I can help you fix the shattered jade stones.”

Seeing the basement in complete disarray and Huo Sining’s bewildered expression, Qibao, her considerate little quilt, couldn’t help but offer some comfort.

Huo Sining felt all kinds of frustration inside, but she had no choice but to swallow this bitter pill herself, because the thing upstairs was something she had foolishly let out, and she couldn’t blame anyone else.

After cleaning up everything in the basement thoroughly and asking Auntie Li to come and clean, she ordered a new safe online. After a whirlwind of activity, Huo Sining was already considering putting that egg in the room into Space.

However, the disaster was just beginning.

In the afternoon, after finishing her classes at school, Huo Sining picked up the little one from Qibao’s school, and the two of them hurriedly rushed into Qibao’s room.

Because she was worried that the strange egg might be discovered, on the way to school, Huo Sining specifically instructed Auntie Li not to clean upstairs today.

Over the past two years of interaction, Huo Sining had come to trust Auntie Li’s character very much. Auntie Li wasn’t talkative, but she was extremely reliable and trustworthy as a live-in auntie. She would never disobey Huo Sining’s instructions.

As soon as she pushed open the door, Huo Sining saw the precious egg bouncing non-stop on Qibao’s soft Simmons mattress.

Knowing that the little thing was still obediently staying in the room, Huo Sining and Qibao exchanged a glance and both breathed a sigh of relief.

This thing was like a destroyer; Huo Sining only hoped it could stay obediently in the room and not cause trouble outside. That would be ideal, Amitabha.

However, just as the weight in Huo Sining’s heart settled, something more worrisome quickly arose.

Qibao returned to the room, put down her backpack, and picked up the remote control to turn on the TV, intending to watch it.

Hearing the sound coming from the wall screen, the precious egg was immediately attracted, made a surprised sound, and suddenly darted over to the TV screen.

The egg floated in midair, tilting its bottom and tilting its head, seemingly very curious and puzzled. It kept pressing its shell against the electronic screen, as if seriously contemplating and studying how the machine worked and why there were sounds coming from inside.

Seeing the egg behaving like a curious baby, Huo Sining and Qibao couldn’t help but laugh. Qibao even covered her mouth and giggled.

However, before their smiles could reach the corners of their eyes, something else happened.

The egg obviously hadn’t figured out why there were various sounds and images on the electronic screen. It thought the people inside were real, and it jumped up and down in front of the screen, making a burbling sound, as if greeting the people inside.

However, it quickly realized that those people were ignoring its greetings, completely ignoring its presence.

The precious egg was instantly enraged, feeling discriminated against and ignored. It made a strange sound and suddenly dashed towards the TV screen.

The situation happened so suddenly that Huo Sining and Qibao, sitting on the bed, had no time to react.

It was unclear what material the egg’s shell was made of, but it was surprisingly sturdy. Under its continuous impact, the TV on the wall shattered within seconds, with curved glass fragments flying everywhere.

Huo Sining was about to intervene but was startled by the flying shards and quickly stopped in her tracks, turning to protect Qibao in her arms.

Another thing was destroyed, and Huo Sining’s good mood vanished instantly.

But was this the end? No, far from it.

After the TV was smashed, several circuits started sparking. The egg, initially ramming the TV out of anger, suddenly calmed down upon seeing the sparks. It stared at the sparks for a few moments and, with great excitement, jumped onto them.

Huo Sining didn’t have time to stop it as she saw the egg perch itself on the circuit board.

Several patches adhered to the egg, and the moment they made contact, a crackling sound of electricity suddenly erupted.

The sound was faint, but since the room was silent, Huo Sining heard it clearly. She was instantly alarmed, thinking to herself that the egg was probably about to be electrocuted!

However, the situation developed far beyond Huo Sining’s expectations.

Right after the electrical sound began, Huo Sining saw a surge of electricity shoot up from under the Blue Fatty’s bottom rapidly to the top of its head. In just a second, the egg was enveloped by the glowing white electricity.

Seeing this, Huo Sining was momentarily dazed. She instinctively widened her eyes, not daring to blink, trying to see clearly what was happening.

The electricity continued to flow toward the egg, with countless currents converging and then being swiftly devoured upon reaching the top of the egg.

Time passed bit by bit, and more and more electricity flowed in, yet the egg seemed like a bottomless pit, continuously opening its maw to consume the electricity, as if it would never be full.

At this moment, Huo Sining felt her heart racing wildly, even sensing the powerful thumping of her heartbeat.

She felt as if her worldview was being overturned once again.

This egg was actually devouring electricity? Could this be the legendary Thunder Attribute? This was too terrifying, too exaggerated!

Huo Sining couldn’t help but think to herself, no wonder this thing was able to release high-voltage electricity to attack Qibao in the morning. This was where it all came from!

Huo Sining’s gaze was peculiarly fixed on this monster, wondering how long it would keep eating.

But before she could think further, suddenly the room’s light went out, leaving the room, with its drawn curtains, pitch black.

Power outage?

Huo Sining and Qibao were momentarily stunned, and Huo Sining instinctively turned her head to look at the little electricity-eating monster.

The Blue Fatty, perched on the circuit board, seemed to notice the electricity was gone. It jumped a few times on the circuit board but didn’t feel any more electricity coming through, immediately making dissatisfied grunts, showing a look of unfulfilled hunger.

Huo Sining thought maybe the fuse had blown or the circuit had tripped. She took Qibao with her and ran downstairs. Auntie Li was busy in the kitchen downstairs, and when the power went out, she was the first to notice. The three of them gathered at the doorway to the electric box to check the situation.
