Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1544: Chapter 1528: Fine Tea and Fine Wine

Sure enough, as soon as the tea was brewed, that natural and pure fragrance filled the whole hall. Even Liao Song and Zhong Zifan, who didn’t understand tea, involuntarily showed expressions of intoxication.

”Huo girl, your tea frying is truly exceptional. It’s a shame you haven’t opened a tea company with such skills.”

Zhuang Xiangyang sipped his tea while teasing Huo Sining.

Huo Sining smiled and shook her head, ”You’re flattering me too much. It’s just some homemade tea, not as exaggerated as you say. Besides, I just make a little for myself for fun. If I really ran a company, I probably wouldn’t bother doing it myself anymore.”

Xie Daoyuan chimed in, ”It’s not an exaggeration. I’m an amateur when it comes to tasting tea, but your tea is truly delicious. Compared to yours, the Biluochun and Tieguanyin in my house are all garbage. I think I might as well throw them all out.”

Zhuang Xiangyang laughed at this, ”Throw them out? Do you think by tossing those away, you’ll get to drink this tea every day? What she makes for personal use doesn’t even amount to a few ounces. Try to see if you can get two ounces from her.”

Seeing the two professors’ hints about wanting some tea, Huo Sining couldn’t help but smile, ”This is Ancient Tea Tree tea, and there isn’t much of it. I only kept two ounces for myself; the rest was snatched up by Master Gu and the others.”

Professor Xie looked crestfallen at this, and Zhuang Xiangyang couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow, ”See, I told you not to get your hopes up. For her to take it out and serve us once is already giving us a lot of face.”

Huo Sining laughed, ”I haven’t finished. It’s true that the Ancient Tea Tree tea is gone. After I let Master Gu taste it last year, they set their sights on these few tea trees. Chief Lu and my master were eyeing it early on, too. It was only because I was quick that I managed to keep two ounces, or else even that would have ended up with the old masters.”

”However, this spring, I specifically had people go to Meishan to pick a lot of wild tea tips. After they returned, I personally fried and baked them, and their taste is actually not inferior to this Ancient Tea Tree tea. I’ll get some for you to try. If you think it’s good, I can share a little of the Meishan Wild Ji.”

Saying that, Huo Sining headed over to the storage room, took out a box, and pulled out a paper bag from inside.

This tea was gathered by veterans in Meishan’s remote mountains, arranged by Wu Jun, and was authentic wild Qingming tea from early spring. It was fresh and tender, green in color, and enhanced by spiritual energy, making the resulting tea delicate and substantial. It looked more refined than the high-grade teas on the market.

As soon as this tea touched water, hot water poured over it, the leaves seemed to bloom with a new green, and the tea was bright and transparent, with a rich aroma.

Zhuang Xiangyang and Xie Daoyuan, upon seeing this pleasing tea, immediately brightened, took up a teapot, poured a cup, tasted the first sip, and couldn’t help but go for a second.

”Is this tea called Meishan Wild Ji? What a good name; it matches the tea’s flavor perfectly. The aroma of this tea is intense and lasting, its taste full and mellow; indeed, it’s like an orchid in a secluded valley, filled with wildness!”

Zhuang Xiangyang, in between sipping tea, couldn’t help but praise the tea bearer’s brew brought by Huo Sining.

These two professors weren’t the polite type; after trying the Meishan Wild Ji, they felt it wasn’t far off from the Ancient Tea Tree tea. So they personally helped themselves, found a paper bag, and began stuffing it full, giving Huo Sining no choice but to laugh bitterly.

Even Liao Song and Zhong Zifan felt a bit restrained, feeling a bit embarrassed about coming to Huo Sining’s place, eating and drinking, and taking something with them.

Seeing this, Huo Sining packed a portion for both Liao Song and Zhong Zifan.

During dinner, it was the same situation. When Huo Sining brought out a jar of wine, everyone filled their cups, took a sip, and before anyone else could react, Zhuang Xiangyang stood up directly and hugged the wine jar in his arms, glaring at the others around the table with hostility:

”This wine is mine, none of you are allowed to take it from me!”

Normally, Xie Daoyuan was quite restrained with drinking; even when socializing outside, he would only dabble with a single glass.

But this time, after drinking the wine Huo Sining brought out, his eyes shone brightly. Seeing Zhuang Xiangyang’s domineering action, he eagerly stood up, slapped the table, and angrily said:

”That won’t do. You’re practically a bandit. This wine was brought out by Huo girl to entertain us, not just for you alone. You can only take a quarter of it!”

”Swift hands get it, slow hands don’t. Who told you to be slower than me? Whoever grabs it owns it! If you want to drink more, ask Huo girl for more. I don’t care. I’m claiming this jar of wine. If you have the guts, try to take it from me!” Zhuang Xiangyang turned his head proudly, entirely ignoring Xie Daoyuan’s complaint.

Hearing Zhuang Xiangyang’s words, the other three, including Liao Song and Zhong Zifan, all glanced over at Huo Sining in unison.

Huo Sining was suddenly at a loss. She didn’t expect Professor Zhuang, always so polite and humble, to have such a shameless side.

This really is...

Huo Sining couldn’t find the words to describe it and resignedly returned to the storage room, pulling out a few more jars, and said helplessly:

”I’ve been painstakingly storing these few jars, and now they’re about to be cleaned out by you all; my cellar will be empty soon. I warn you, pace yourselves. While the wine is good, it packs a punch; getting greedy won’t do you any favors!”

But none of the men around the table were listening to Huo Sining’s advice now. Encountering such good wine, how could they not drink heartily? Even Liao Song and Zhong Zifan shed their restraints, grabbing wine jars and drinking as if they hadn’t tasted wine in eight generations.

The meal stretched on for several hours, ending with a table in chaos, everyone thoroughly drunk. Leaving Huo Sining with no choice but to ask Auntie Li to help tidy up some guest rooms to accommodate the guys for the night.

After settling them all, Huo Sining called Gan Lijun to inform her that Professor Xie was drinking with Professor Zhuang at her place, had gotten drunk, and would be staying over.

Gan Lijun’s health had improved considerably by now, but she still pushed aside as much work as possible at school. However, she was quite familiar with Huo Sining because of the Huaxia Koi project Huo Sining was involved in at the research lab, which she was in charge of.
