Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1520: Chapter 1504: Zhou Family Infighting

From the entire rough jade material, less than three kilograms of Flower Green Species were extracted. Huo Sining was planning to clean the stone skin on the edges, but at this moment, someone from the crowd spoke up:

”Miss Huo, are you willing to sell your piece of Flower Green Species? If you agree, I’ll take it for eight hundred thousand!”

The people nearby had been discussing in hushed tones, but when this voice emerged, the surroundings instantly fell silent.

The focus of the onlookers was on Huo Sining’s identity and how much the Tengchong merchants would lose after this piece of Jadeite was revealed, without anyone considering how Huo Sining would handle it. As soon as someone voiced their offer, the onlookers suddenly had an epiphany, and their minds began to stir.

The person making the offer was Zhou Yan, who had been following Huo Sining alongside Yin Zeyan earlier.

Zhou Yan was part of the Zhou Family, but Huo Sining had vaguely heard that the Zhou Family was currently in turmoil over the issue of succession, with Zhou Zhen and Zhou Yan at the center of it.

Huo Sining wasn’t familiar with the Zhou Family’s situation, but she had a better impression of Zhou Yan than Zhou Zhen, so when Zhou Yan made a bid, she instinctively glanced towards Zhou Zhen and Zhou Mei in the crowd.

As expected, she saw Zhou Zhen and his sister with gloomy expressions, glaring venomously and resentfully at Zhou Yan.

Seeing this, Huo Sining couldn’t help but curl her lips, thinking it was amusing.

Not wanting the material in Huo Sining’s hands to be snatched by Zhou Yan, the Zhou siblings exchanged glances before Zhou Zhen suddenly shouted: ”We’ll offer nine hundred thousand! Zhou’s Jewelry is willing to pay nine hundred thousand for this piece of Flower Green Species!”

Before Huo Sining could express her stance, Zhou Zhen jumped out with his offer and looked provocatively at Zhou Yan after shouting his price.

Although the Flower Green Species is not considered high-quality Jadeite, even among mid-range types, the combination with ocean blue color is very rare. Not only did the Zhou Family want it, but there were also several small-scale Jadeite business owners in the crowd who couldn’t stay calm after both Zhou Yan and Zhou Zhen made offers.

”One million, Cuihua Jade Ornaments offers one million!”

A middle-aged man in his forties also spoke up.

Flower Green Species isn’t highly regarded, but the ocean blue color is quite stunning. Jadeite with such beautiful color, even if lower grade, is quite popular in small Jadeite shops among consumers.

However, one million is already a very high price, as ordinary Flower Green Species Jadeite, for two or three kilograms of material, isn’t even worth five hundred thousand.

Huo Sining knew that this price was already approaching the market value of the raw material itself, so with this price, the merchants could hardly make any profit. She wasn’t about to be pretentious and was about to nod in agreement.

However, just as she was about to speak, Zhou Yan suddenly smiled and said, ”One million one hundred thousand! President Luo, I really fancy this piece of Flower Green Species. How about letting it go just this once? I’ll treat you to a meal later.”

The middle-aged man, who thought he had it in the bag, was surprised by Zhou Yan’s sudden intervention. His face stiffened, and he seemed to want to continue bidding, but realizing Zhou Yan had already raised it to one million one hundred thousand, adding more would make it a loss-making deal for him. He quickly swallowed his earlier price, looking awkward as he glanced at Zhou Yan, gesturing to back down.

Zhou Yan, seeing this, gave a somewhat apologetic smile to the middle-aged man, then turned and seriously looked at Huo Sining: ”One million one hundred thousand, Miss Huo, what do you think?”

Of course, Huo Sining had no objections. She had little concept of the price of ocean blue, but she also clearly understood that this price had already exceeded her expectations.

She had initially thought that this small piece wouldn’t sell for more than seventy or eighty thousand at most. It seemed she was not quite up-to-date with the current Jadeite market.

However, it was obvious that someone didn’t want Zhou Yan to succeed easily. Seeing that Huo Sining was about to agree, the Zhou siblings, who regarded Zhou Yan as their nemesis, couldn’t stay calm and eagerly raised their voices: ”One million two hundred thousand! We’ll add another ten thousand!”

Huo Sining’s face immediately showed a look of astonishment, and others also gave the Zhou siblings a dumbfounded look.

On the other side, Zhou Yan’s eyes flashed coldly, yet his lips curled into a smile. He lifted his head and sarcastically looked at Zhou Zhen and Zhou Mei:

”Flower Green Species in ocean blue color is indeed rare. Buying it for one million two hundred thousand and storing it for a while might yield some profit if you find a really interested buyer later. But my dear cousins, do you currently have this much money on hand?”

Saying this, Zhou Yan’s smile grew even brighter: ”As I recall, Grandfather has restricted your financial rights. Cousin, you currently have less than fifty thousand available, right? What, are you planning to write IOUs to Miss Huo in this public bidding process?”

Zhou Yan’s words were harsh, but clearly factual, which made the expressions of the Zhou siblings instantly freeze, especially Zhou Zhen, who looked at Zhou Yan with a stormy face, his expression exceedingly distorted.

Huo Sining was unclear about what was happening with the Zhou Family, but at this moment, she had to express her stance:

”I don’t accept IOUs, only cash or transfer, those are my only conditions. If within half an hour, Young Master Zhou and Miss Zhou can pay me one million two hundred thousand, we can exchange money and goods directly, and this Flower Green Species will be yours. If you can’t do that, I’m sorry.”

Zhou Yan and Zhou Mei immediately fell silent, but their four eyes still glanced unwillingly at the ocean blue stone.

Judging from the siblings, Huo Sining understood clearly, and with a smile on her face, she shrugged indifferently. She refrained from commenting on the Zhou siblings’ farcical bidding behavior, turning instead to Zhou Yan:

”Mr. Zhou, one million one hundred thousand, and this piece is yours.”

Zhou Yan nodded, pulled out his phone without a word, and quickly, the bank sent one million one hundred thousand into Huo Sining’s account. With the exchange completed, the ocean blue piece was handed over to Zhou Yan.

Though the piece of Flower Green Species wasn’t highly transparent, the ocean blue color was very enticing. Zhou Yan held it, enamored, while President Luo of Cuihua Jade Ornaments looked on enviously, also filled with regret for not having bid higher earlier.

However, in Huo Sining’s view, one million one hundred thousand was already an astronomical price for this piece, and going higher would hardly leave any profit. After all, it was just a piece of Flower Green Species, and there was no need for such irrational bidding.

After handling all this, Huo Sining turned to the few rough stone merchants, knowing that in a challenge, winning or losing was indeed important.
