Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1502: Chapter 1486: Changing the Gambling Implements

The pinnacle showdown begins, with both sides seated in their respective positions.

Huo Sining noticed Windsor Caesar’s eyes sparkling as he looked at her, but at such a tense moment, Huo Sining was unable to dwell on it, nor could she imagine Windsor Caesar having other thoughts about his opponent.

The countdown to the match begins, and Windsor Caesar retracts his intense gaze, finally adopting a serious expression.

Windsor Caesar was not on hand to witness Huo Sining’s performance on the day of the finals, but he had heard about it.

Constantly folding, such a tactic is something Windsor Caesar would never employ.

As the reigning champion, folding is certainly not a behavior befitting a top player, especially for someone known as the ”Emperor” like Caesar; it would be too embarrassing.

Nonetheless, Huo Sining doesn’t feel embarrassed at all; she’s not a gambler, hence lacks the demeanor of a great player. In Huo Sining’s view, as long as you can win the match, whether through overt or covert strategies, isn’t it still a win?

Thinking that perhaps the upcoming games would all be spent folding, Windsor Caesar’s face couldn’t help but twitch.

Though he found Huo Sining’s behavior quite endearing, and if it were in a private setting, he wouldn’t mind playing folding games with Huo Sining every day.

But this is the final round of the WGC finals, so in this context, it should be taken seriously.

Thus, he jokingly yet seriously said, ”Miss Huo, for the matches ahead, you’re not going to keep folding, are you? If that’s the case, let’s save ourselves the trouble; I’ll just concede.”

Upon hearing this, Huo Sining couldn’t help but burst into laughter. She looked up, glanced at Windsor Caesar with a half-smile, shaking her head:

”From what I know, Mr. Windsor, your mental arithmetic is quite strong. I’m aware of my abilities, and this folding tactic likely won’t be very effective against you.”

”Miss Huo, you are too modest.”

Windsor Caesar didn’t deny it, but his face showed a confident smile.

Everyone publicly knew that Emperor Caesar excelled at card tricks.

Huo Sining had defeated all opponents at the WGC with her impeccable card skills, and Windsor Caesar was quite willing to experience Huo Sining’s game-changing move.

The croupier dealt the cards, and the two masters stood ready.

As predicted, Huo Sining started folding again.

However, this time her card play wasn’t as smooth as before.

Several times she encountered good hands, yet somehow Windsor Caesar managed to avoid all of them.

Windsor Caesar cast a teasing look toward Huo Sining, mirroring a cat playing with a mouse.

Huo Sining was frustrated, but helpless.

She knew this tactic was ineffective against Windsor Caesar, but she held a bit of hope and wanted to give it a try.

But after a few rounds, she realized this strategy was useless—just a waste of time.

So, the nonchalant expression on Huo Sining’s face finally disappeared. She sat upright, ready to take it seriously.

The two-hour match time was drawing to an end. They both had wins and losses, and their chips were equal, with no winner decided yet.

In the last round, Huo Sining held three Kings, Windsor Caesar had hearts 10, Jack, Queen, each waiting for the croupier’s last heart King.

The two faced off for a long time without speaking.

Windsor Caesar’s brows furrowed tightly, and Huo Sining wasn’t at ease either.

Both were deliberately suppressing emotions, not wanting the other to notice any hints.

The match finally reached the most intense moment.

As the crowd held their breath, waiting for their ultimate decision, suddenly both smiled.

Windsor Caesar tossed his cards aside with a laugh, looked at Huo Sining and said, ”Poker’s quite dull, how about we play dice instead?”

The crowd below gasped in shock, and the TV viewers were similarly taken aback, dumbfounded.

At the climax of the finals, to suddenly switch from poker to dice? Guy, are you serious? Is this feasible?

The spectators felt fooled; across the table, Huo Sining, hearing Windsor Caesar’s suggestion, also widened her eyes in disbelief and surprise.

Reaching this point in the match, the two were so evenly matched, there really was no point in continuing.

Huo Sining naturally had no objection to Windsor Caesar’s proposal, but since they were in a match, could the rules really be changed so casually?

To Huo Sining’s amazement, after Windsor Caesar proposed this idea, it actually got a response.

The croupier, after consulting Huo Sining, unexpectedly signaled to a spot behind him.

Soon, someone from the JK Event Organizers came down to their table.

After a round of discussion and gaining agreement from both competitors, the organizers accepted Windsor Caesar’s suggestion and decided to temporarily change the gambling device.

In less than three minutes, four smooth ivory dice and a dice cup were sent up.

At this point, onlookers including online viewers waiting for what would happen next were puzzled, unsure of what tricks these two were playing.

”What are they doing? Why are they switching gambling tools?”

An uninformed spectator couldn’t help but ask online.

”Love-hate relationship, wasn’t there gossip about Windsor Caesar and Huo Sining having a fling? I’m guessing neither wants to hurt the other, they’re hesitating.”

A gossip-loving netizen spontaneously crafted a melodramatic soap opera story,

”What nonsense, they’re evenly matched, Texas Hold’em can’t decide the winner, so they’re trying dice to settle it.”

Wherever there’s drama, there’ll also be experts who see through it, providing sharp insights into the truth.

The live commentators were also dumbfounded; good ol’ Texas Hold’em swapped for dice like child’s play? This was supposed to be the pinnacle of the finals showdown, yet the WGC organizers agreed to it—were they out of their minds?

Of course, the commentators dared not express these thoughts live, but internally, they were venting frustrations, while their eyes stayed glued to the screen, not wanting to miss a single exciting shot.

On screen, Windsor Caesar smiled at Huo Sining, raised an eyebrow, and asked, ”How do we bet?”

Huo Sining glanced at the croupier’s last card and smiled with a bit of child-like playfulness: ”The croupier rolls the dice, and we guess the points. Whoever guesses right gets the last card! How about it?”

With the heart King, Windsor Caesar would have a straight flush, and Huo Sining had four of a kind; as soon as one of them got the last heart King, it meant the other lost.

So, they both desired to get that last card.
