Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1340: Chapter 1335: Dongyang Delegation

The purpose of Huo Sining was just to prevent Huo Yong from causing her trouble, so when Huo Yong was detained in the detention center, it was only for a month without pursuing his criminal responsibility. By the time Xu Lian got the news, it was already a month later.

After bailing Huo Yong out of the detention center, Huo Yong learned that Xu Lian had purchased Baiyun Township Primary School awaiting demolition. Knowing that his family could potentially make a windfall, Huo Yong gave up on the idea of taking advantage of his niece and focused on waiting for the government’s demolition compensation.

In early November, Huo Sining, as the team leader, led the other four Huaxia Country appraisers and over twenty other experts to New York to participate in the International Treasure Appraisal Convention.

After more than ten hours, the plane landed steadily at the New York airport.

The organizers of the treasure appraisal convention had already arranged for Chinese people to meet them at the airport. When they saw such a young female team captain, they were a bit stunned.

Although they had already received basic information about the Huaxia Country representatives and knew some of the miraculous deeds of the domestic Jade Queen, they couldn’t help but be surprised by Huo Sining’s age upon seeing her in person.

Rumor had it that the Jade Queen was a very young woman, and for this reason, they especially found the video of the betting between Huo Sining and Liu Yuxuan.

On the video, Huo Sining indeed appeared very young, but because it was filmed at a distance, the video looked quite blurry.

In the eyes of these Americans, even if Huo Sining was young, she should be at least in her thirties.

Defeating the Jade Gambling King at thirty-something would be considered a prodigy in jade betting, and moreover, Huo Sining was not only skilled in stone gambling, but her appraisal ability was also extraordinary.

So even though they knew Huo Sining was young, they still made erroneous estimates of her age.

Now that they saw her in person, they realized just how wrong their guesses were. No one expected the mysterious Miss Huo, who was all the rage in Huaxia Country, to be so young.

Huo Sining was from the South, naturally making her figure somewhat petite and delicate, making her look even younger, almost like a high school student.

Could someone so young really handle the rigorous competition of the international treasure appraisal convention?

The American organizers had some doubts about this.

Noticing the hesitation and suspicion in the greeters’ eyes, Huo Sining’s lips curled slightly into a confident smile.

After exchanging a few pleasantries with the committee’s staff, Huo Sining and the others began slowly organizing their luggage to head to the committee for registration after leaving the airport.

At this moment, another group of people came out of the exit, and among those waiting outside, a few Asian faces joined in.

Seeing the look of confusion on Huo Sining’s face, the Chinese manager responsible for the reception smiled at her and explained, ”That’s the Dongyang reception manager, and it looks like the Dongyang delegation is arriving too.”

The Dongyang delegation!

Huo Sining turned her head sharply and indeed saw about twenty Asians coming out of the exit. The leader was about fifty, sporting a detestable mustache, followed by Watanabe Yasu, whom Huo Sining encountered during the last black market auction.

”Mr. Watanabe, welcome!”

The manager laughed loudly and walked up to embrace the leader:

”What a coincidence, our country’s delegation and the Huaxia Country’s delegation arrived together.”

After saying that, the manager pointed towards Huo Sining and her group, whispered some words to the Dongyang representatives, causing them to laugh mockingly.

Watanabe Yasu even looked over provocatively at where Huo Sining and her group were, paused at the sight of Huo Sining, and then, as if realizing something, a sinister and greedy look appeared in his eyes.

A cold gleam flashed in Huo Sining’s eyes, and the nearby Gu Xu’s face also turned somber.

”Watanabe Okamoto! That leader is the chairman of the Watanabe Consortium!”

Gu Xu watched the leader and said coldly.

The faces of the old experts beside them turned indignant upon hearing this name.

Because of the jade clothing incident, the Watanabe Group had been frequently mentioned by the media, causing quite a stir at home. Every citizen felt furious and resentful at hearing this name.

Now, it seemed outrageous that Dongyang would steal even Huaxia Country’s cultural relics, deceiving the media by reversing black and white, shamelessly proud instead of ashamed. How could it not infuriate the citizens?

However, at this moment, Huo Sining had no intention of tearing into these people yet. Since they were so shameless as to reverse the facts internationally, they couldn’t blame her for being ruthless!

Huo Sining squinted her eyes, looked over at the Watanabe Consortium group, with an involuntary cold smile on her lips.

Under the guidance of the staff, Huo Sining and her party checked into a large hotel.

However, what made Huo Sining uncomfortable was that the Dongyang delegation’s room was next to hers.

Huo Sining frowned, although she said nothing, she felt somewhat uncomfortable inside.

After signing in, some of the old experts went back to the hotel to rest. Huo Sining and Gu Xu, being younger, didn’t feel any discomfort and decided to wander around the streets of New York.

This time, Gu Xu had specifically set aside company affairs to accompany Huo Sining to America, partly to be with her day and night, and also because he had received orders from the top to protect Huo Sining’s safety throughout.

Aside from Gu Xu, accompanying Huo Sining were the fun-loving Su Qingqing, Liu Anning, Ouyang Jun, and others. These people were those who wouldn’t let a good show go unwatched, and since Huo Sining was to compete in America, they of course came along to offer her moral encouragement and support.

Of course, this was secondary; primarily, this group wanted to take the opportunity to have a good time in New York.

Knowing that Huo Sining wanted to shop, how could these people not follow? Thus, they set off en masse to stroll the streets of New York.

It wasn’t until reaching a street corner lined with typical Huaxia-style buildings, did they realize they had arrived at Broadway, the legendary New York Chinatown.

Seeing a street enriched with Huaxia culture in a foreign land is like meeting a Chinese person speaking the same language in another country, creating a strong sense of affection.

Led by this unique feeling, Huo Sining and the others enthusiastically stepped into this bustling street.
