Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1313: Chapter 1309: Jin Tao Fang

”How much? Five million?”

Su Anning was so shocked by the figure of five million that she was dumbfounded, staring at Huo Sining in astonishment, her mouth agape for a long time.

Although Su Anning was the eldest grandson of the Su Family and had never really lacked money, her pocket money varied only between three and five hundred thousand, which was still far from the five million Huo Sining mentioned.

Though she had heard from her grandfather about how Zhou Shitao’s new apprentice, Huo Sining, was exceptional at finding hidden treasures, making a lot of money playing with antique jadeite, she still didn’t quite believe it when Su Zhongqing mentioned it.

But now, seeing Huo Sining pick a random jar under her nose and turn its value from five hundred to five million, Su Anning’s values were in instant turmoil. She had never seen picking treasures could be so easy. Is the world changing too fast, or is she going crazy for money?

In fact, Huo Sining was already quoting a lower price.

In recent years, fine pottery from the folks is becoming scarcer while more people are getting into it, making pottery prices soar ceaselessly, especially black pottery, white pottery, and purple pottery prices are on a steep rise; these ancient potteries are not inferior to some official kiln fighting color Blue and White Porcelain of the Ming and Qing dynasties.

Just like purple pottery, such fine porcelain is very rare, and auction houses rarely encounter a fine piece, and the public doesn’t really recognize their preciousness.

Of course, those in the pottery circle know purple pottery very well, constantly staying updated on domestic auction trends. If Huo Sining were to put up this purple pottery for auction, there would naturally be eager buyers, even without any promotion beforehand.

”Young lady, could I have a look at the purple pottery jar in your hand?”

Suddenly, an unfamiliar voice rang beside them, startling Huo Sining and the others.

Following the direction of the voice, they turned to see a seventy-something-year-old man standing behind them.

The old man was dressed in a Zhongshan suit and Beijing cloth shoes, staring intently at the purple pottery jar in Huo Sining’s hand.

The Panjiayuan Antique Street is a place full of mixed company; this old man suddenly appeared from behind and kept his eyes fixed on the jar, which was indeed peculiar.

Huo Sining remained calm, but Qibao and Su Anning both stared wide-eyed with vigilance at the old man.

That purple pottery was worth five million, so if anything happened to it, they wouldn’t have a place to cry.

Liu Pengcheng also noticed the old man, and looking at the old man’s wrinkled, grey-haired face, he inexplicably felt a strange familiarity, as if he’d seen this old man somewhere before.

However, thinking harder, he still couldn’t recall where he’d seen him.

”Sir, sorry, we aren’t sure if the jar is really worth it, we were just saying it casually, really sorry but we have to go.”

Huo Sining didn’t want to show the purple pottery to anyone, even though the old man seemed like a good person, but looks can be deceiving; who knows if he was a smiling deceiver?

The old man showed some disappointment in his eyes when Huo Sining refused his request, he was about to say a few more words when an anxious voice came from behind: ”Mr. Bai, why did you sneak out of there without a word? Elder Qin is still waiting for you over there!”

A young man rushed out from a nearby shop, spoke to the old man, and was about to pull him back, but upon turning his head, he saw Huo Sining and the group. Slightly stunned, he exclaimed in surprise, ”Miss Huo, what are you doing here?”

Huo Sining was also a bit surprised; this young man was none other than Xiao Zhang, Qin Lianshan’s personal guard.

”Master Qin is here too?” She was curious after hearing Xiao Zhang’s words.

Xiao Zhang nodded and was about to speak, but the old man, who originally planned to leave with the guard, turned back suddenly after hearing Xiao Zhang call out Miss Huo, gazing at Huo Sining with some surprise and inquiry: ”Your surname is Huo?”

Seeing Huo Sining nod, the old man’s smile broadened, nodding repeatedly: ”Excellent, excellent! Being able to find such fine purple pottery here at Antique Street, this young lady surely is outstanding and has a unique vision. I often hear Elder Qin mention you; it seems not exaggerated indeed.”

Huo Sining didn’t know about the old man’s background, but from Xiao Zhang’s tense manner and the way the old man spoke, it seemed likely Elder Qin had close relations with this person, and it was obvious he knew who Huo Sining was without revealing it.

”Sir, you flatter me, I apologize for any offense earlier.”

The old man didn’t mind, waving his hand before pointing at a shop in front of him and smiling, ”A girl outside having vigilance is quite normal. Elder Qin happens to be here, if you’d like to accompany me inside? Also, let this old man have a look at your purple pottery to gain some knowledge, what do you think?”

Huo Sining looked up in the direction the old man pointed and saw the sign on that shop with three big characters ”Jin Tao Fang.”

Knowing that Qin Lianshan was in the shop, Huo Sining felt assured, smiling as she followed the old man inside.

”Old Bai.”

Seeing the old man come in, Qin Lianshan peeped his head out from behind the antique shelves, and as he was about to speak, witnessing Huo Sining following the old man, his voice suddenly cut off.

After a pause, Qin Lianshan smiled at Huo Sining and said, ”Huo girl, what brings you out today? You guys searching for stuff at Dashilar?”

Huo Sining nodded and smiled: ”Just out with nothing to do, accompanying Brother Liu and Anning on a stroll. It was such a coincidence meeting Zhang guard, only then did I know you were here, so we tagged along.”

Qin Lianshan was about to say more, but the old man standing by was already set on checking out Huo Sining’s purple pottery, cutting in before Qin Lianshan, he asked, ”Young lady, did you find this jar from that old stall back there?”

The old man didn’t state it directly, but his eyes were tightly fixed on the jar in Huo Sining’s hand.

Huo Sining wasn’t foolish; she understood his implicit meaning, considering face for Qin Lianshan, she couldn’t really avoid showing the purple pottery to him.

Seeing Huo Sining offer the jar readily, the old man eagerly snatched it, grasped the rim of the purple pottery jar, and lifted it onto the nearby table.
