Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 676: Chapter 673: The Third Foreigner

”Miss Huo, because of the competition earlier, I didn’t get a chance to greet you. I hope my greetings now aren’t too abrupt,”

Carlos was truly an Englishman, his gentlemanly manner was impeccable, and even if Huo Sining was feeling impatient, she had to respond:

”Mr. Carlos, you are too polite. As visitors from afar, it should be us playing the role of hosts.”

”Miss Huo’s performance just now really surprised us. Huaxia truly has hidden talents like ’Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.’ Miss Huo, both in appearance and ability, you stand out so remarkably, you are the most charming Eastern woman I have ever met!” Danio added from the side.

Huo Sining smiled and shook her head, ”Your Excellency Carlos, please allow me to clarify that, in Huaxia Country, I am just an extremely ordinary one among thousands of women; I cannot bear your word ’most’.”

”In our Huaxia, there’s an old saying, ’Women can hold up half the sky.’ I think this saying should resonate deeply in your Western countries.”

”Although the casino is ever-changing, it doesn’t mean that women can’t handle it. I look forward to both of your spectacular performances in the next game. I will give it my all, which I believe is a sign of respect for the casino and also for both of you.”

After two rounds of intense competition, by ten o’clock at night, Huo Sining was sitting at the same gambling table with Carlos and Danio.

The final showdown of this high seas gambling competition was underway, with the battle heating up.

There’s a significant difference between Texas Hold’em and Three Card Brag, most notably in how the hands are ranked.

In Three Card Brag, three threes are the highest, and a prial, or three of a kind, ranks higher than a straight flush. Whereas in Hold’em, a straight flush ranks higher than four of a kind.

Huo Sining glanced at her cards, then looked up at Carlos sitting opposite her, gave a small smile, and tossed her cards into the center.

”I fold,” she chose to fold.

Counting the previous four, Huo Sining had now folded five consecutive hands.

This surprised the people in the monitoring center.

In fact, just like the previous four hands, the hand Huo Sining held was not small: a pair of tens and a king, which were cards worth following.

Of course, they were inferior to the hands of Carlos and Danio, so Huo Sining’s decision to fold was normal.

But compared to the unrestrained betting of the qualifiers and rematches, when Huo Sining followed bets without even looking at her cards, her cautious approach in the final was a bit too careful.

Put in her position, with a pair of tens and before seeing the next two cards, would they have folded so decisively?

The answer is no, but Huo Sining did just that.

This left all the spectators very puzzled; even Song Chaoying couldn’t grasp what Huo Sining was doing.

Because Huo Sining folded, three players remained at the table—apart from Carlos and Danio, there was also a minor shareholder representative who had luckily ranked fourth.

The croupier continued dealing the cards. When they reached the three players’ hands, Carlos’s gaze suddenly became intense.

Since all cards were visible, everyone could clearly see that the spade jack that should have gone to Carlos ended up with the next player, the fourth-ranked minor shareholder representative, Wei Laoqing.

At that moment, Wei Laoqing’s open cards had already formed a royal flush: spade J, K, A.

But his hole card was a spade Q!

Carlos had a pair of jacks and a number 7 in hand, with 7 and jack as his visible cards. The fourth card, which should have gone to Huo Sining, was now his: a useless nine of clubs.

The hand Danio received wasn’t good either; he had hoped to form a full house, but because Huo Sining’s sudden move disrupted the order of the cards, his potentially good hand was ruined.

Was this a coincidence?

All eyes turned to the display screen, where that woman sat, smiling nonchalantly in her seat.

If Huo Sining hadn’t folded, the jack of spades in Wei Laoqing’s hand would have gone to Carlos.

But because of Huo Sining’s casual remark, ”I fold,” the whole situation changed in an instant.

Carlos’s three pairs didn’t come together, Danio ended up with a high card, and Wei Laoqing got the biggest hand, a straight flush.

”I fold.”

Danio directly tossed his cards away and glanced at Huo Sining with a peculiar expression, as if deep in thought.

The curve of Huo Sining’s mouth grew wider and wider.

She had already anticipated Danio’s decision to fold.

Carlos had a pair of jacks and was still unwilling to give up.

Although his chances of getting the remaining jack were lower than Wei Laoqing’s chances of getting a ten, he decided to take a gamble.

”I’ll call!”

Carlos pushed his half-million in chips forward.

With such a strong hand, Wei Laoqing, of course, would not fold easily and followed by betting his half-million too.

The croupier dealt the last card, and as soon as it landed in his hand, Carlos’s face turned green!

Wei Laoqing’s card was precisely the ten of clubs!

A royal flush! Such an exceptional hand had actually come to Wei Laoqing!

If Danio hadn’t folded, then that ten of clubs would have gone to Carlos, and Carlos could have made a straight with 9, 10, J, plus a pair of jacks. It’s not certain he wouldn’t have won against Wei Laoqing’s hand.

But unfortunately, Danio folded!

Because of the folds from Huo Sining and Danio, Carlos lost 1.4 million in chips, and the true winner turned out to be Wei Laoqing.

Everything seemed so coincidental, as if it all lay in the hands of that woman surnamed Song, as though she knew what the next card would be.

The Xiang Brothers in the surveillance center turned pale, and even Ye Rongbin began to harbor an absurd thought.

Could this woman calmly analyze and synthesize the hand to decide whether to follow the bet, perhaps by memorizing the cards through the sound of shuffling?

People sharing Ye Rongbin’s suspicion were not few, and even Song Chaoying felt the same way.

Because Huo Sining was too composed, it seemed as though whichever hand reached her, she could play it creatively, and no one could see through her.

”This is the true master! Where did the Song Sisters find her? This woman is too enchanting; she can memorize the cards!”

Suddenly someone in the surveillance center cried out in amazement, ”Could she be the disciple of Ghost Hand Three?!”

Ghost Hand Three!

At the mention of that name, everyone couldn’t help but be taken aback.

Anyone who had been around the Macau casinos knew the name—Ghost Hand Three was a legend in Macau Casino.

More than twenty years ago, it was by listening and memorizing that Ghost Hand Three swept through the entire Macau Casino. As soon as he heard the shuffling of the cards, he knew where each card was.
