Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 660: Chapter 657: Agree to Him

Having an ear issue, for Song Xiaochen, whose ”Ting Shai” gambling skill was the most exquisite, was nothing less than a heavy blow; he absolutely could not afford to delay surgery for a gambling appointment.

However, he could not afford to miss the high seas gambling challenge, and unfortunately, Song Xiaochen couldn’t find a suitable person among his associates to face the challenge. After much thought, he set his sights on Huo Sining.

”Miss Huo, I know my request is somewhat excessive, but I am truly sincere. Please, you must help me with this favor. If you could help me win this gambling appointment this time, I am willing to split half of the profit shares I receive with you. What do you say?”

A fifty percent share of high seas gambling profits might not seem like much, but considering that casino profits are calculated in the billions each month, this means that in three years, Huo Sining could earn at least a few billion. It was indeed a very tempting offer.

Song Xiaochen didn’t believe what Huo Sining said, that one time at Aocheng Casino, Huo Sining’s gambling skills definitely couldn’t be attributed to mere luck. ”Ting Shai” had always been his proud, unbeatable technique, yet he was easily defeated by Huo Sining’s hand.

Moreover, Huo Sining’s composure made him feel inferior. Even the Gambling King couldn’t stop praising her after watching the video.

Thus, Song Xiaochen absolutely did not believe that Huo Sining was ignorant of gambling.

”Mr. Song, it’s not that I’m unwilling to help, nor is it a matter of profit sharing. It’s just that in gambling, I only know about Texas hold ’em and dice, and I haven’t even heard of the others. I really can’t help with this matter; you should look for someone more capable.”

Huo Sining was really at a loss. She truly didn’t understand gambling; her previous bet with Song Xiaochen had been provoked by his taunting and was a simple dice guessing game.

Someone like her, who could barely name a few gambling variants, was fortunate to have won against Song Xiaochen. If she were to seriously gamble against those experts with impeccable skills, she feared she wouldn’t even be comparable to dust.

The betting Song Xiaochen spoke of involved the Song Group’s high seas cruise ship shares no less—something not to be taken lightly. If she lost, even the ten billion acquired from the Liu Family yesterday wouldn’t cover the losses.

Thinking Huo Sining would be troubled by this request, Song Xiaochen smiled upon her response, ”That’s enough, what we are betting on this time is Texas hold ’em, there’s no other trick to it. Miss Huo, you can rest assured!”

Huo Sining was suddenly at a loss for words, looking at Song Xiaochen awkwardly, not knowing how to respond.

Huo Sining felt somewhat helpless; she didn’t lack money now and didn’t want to get entangled in any more grudges.

By agreeing to Song Xiaochen, she would be putting herself in harm’s way.

Casinos were run with the support of certain dark forces, and if she helped Song Xiaochen win the bet, offending both the Ye and Xiang families, she likely wouldn’t be let off easily; and if she lost, it would be difficult to explain to the Song family.

This was a thankless task, and Huo Sining really didn’t want to force herself into it.

”I know this puts you in a difficult spot, but rest assured, as you’ll be representing the Song family at the gamble, I guarantee that no one will dare to trouble you afterwards. Miss Huo, please just help me this once. Should you ever need help, I, Song Xiaochen, will do everything in my power, without any hesitation!”

Song Xiaochen knew exactly what Huo Sining was worried about and quickly explained, offering assurances.

Seeing Song Xiaochen’s determined, never-say-die demeanor, Huo Sining really didn’t know how to refuse.

For such a major issue, Song Xiaochen surely wouldn’t make a unilateral decision. Since he had come to her, it meant that he had already discussed it with the Gambling King. Huo Sining was truly caught in a dilemma, whether to agree or decline.

Huo Sining was extremely troubled, ”I need to think it over, Mr. Song, could you give me one day to consider it?”

Song Xiaochen didn’t press too hard and had no choice but to return to Ao City and wait for Huo Sining’s response.

Seeing Huo Sining’s troubled expression, Song Xiaochen thought there was no hope for the matter. However, just after he returned to Ao City, he received a call from Huo Sining.

”Mr. Song, I’ve agreed to your request, but I cannot guarantee the outcome,” she said.

Although she had the Heavenly Eye as a cheating tool, Huo Sining was quite confident in winning, but she still didn’t dare to be too sure of herself, as anything could happen beyond her control in the casino.

Upon hearing her words, Song Xiaochen was overjoyed, saying excitedly, ”Miss Huo, it’s good that you’ve agreed. Whatever the result may be, it’s fate. I will make the arrangements now and will send someone to pick you up when it’s time.”

”When the time comes, can I bring a few more people with me? My friends have never experienced high seas gambling and would like to take a look,” Huo Sining asked.

”Of course, there is no problem with that. Miss Huo, just bring people over. I’ll have my sister arrange it and ensure your friends are well taken care of,” he replied.

Now that Huo Sining had agreed to the matter, Song Xiaochen could finally relax and go to the United States for treatment without worries.

As for what would happen next, he wasn’t entirely sure, but he believed in his father’s judgment. Huo Sining, a woman who could easily win against him, certainly possessed more skills than it seemed. He felt confident about this competition.

”Why do I have to agree?” Huo Sining asked, puzzled, looking at Gu Xu after hanging up the phone.

Gu Xu laughed and said, ”The Ye and Xiang families are not a concern, but now you’re completely at odds with the Liu Family. If you help Song Xiaochen, you’re also helping the Gambling King. Winning this bet could at least earn you a favor from him.”

”The Gambling King has been thriving for so many years; he’s no ordinary figure. The network behind him is vast and extensive. Being on good terms with someone so powerful is entirely beneficial for you and Jade Beauty—there’s no downside. Moreover—”

Gu Xu deliberately drew out his words. Huo Sining gave him a quizzical look, ”Moreover, what?”

”Moreover, I think you have a very good chance of winning!” Gu Xu said, smiling.

”I have no confidence at all, where does your confidence come from?” Huo Sining looked at Gu Xu reproachfully.

”You were able to win against Song Xiaochen in dice, which shows you have your own methods. If Song Xiaochen hadn’t had ear problems, the Song family would have simply let him compete. Since he can’t even beat you, it at least proves that you are on par with him in terms of gambling skills. So, don’t overthink it. Win or lose, the Song family will only be grateful and won’t blame you.”

Gu Xu’s words eased Huo Sining’s anxiety and worries considerably. She thought about it carefully and felt he indeed made some sense, so she nodded and stopped dwelling on the issue.

Back in S City, Su Qingqing was thrilled to hear that Huo Sining would be going to the high seas to gamble in ten days. She pestered Huo Sining, insisting on going along to see the excitement, and even Ouyang Jun joined in the excitement.
