Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 668: Chapter 665: Asia Star

It wasn’t that Song Chaoying thought it was an exaggeration, but even she herself doubted that perhaps not even her father, the Song Gambling King, could win against this woman!

If Song Chaoying had held any skepticism about Huo Sining before, she could now say with certainty that not just the Ye family’s descendants, but even the Gambling God Ye Han himself, would have to weigh carefully before taking her on.

This high seas gambling event would definitely leave an unforgettable, deep impression on the Ye family and the Xiang Brothers!

After resting for one night in a hotel under the Song Group, at nine o’clock the next morning, Huo Sining and her companions followed Song Chaoying and others by car to Tsim Sha Tsui. They disembarked at the dockside car park, then walked into the dock’s entrance.

Before entering the dock, Huo Sining had found Tsim Sha Tsui Harbor to be nothing out of the ordinary, but after following them in, even Huo Sining couldn’t help but open her mouth in surprise.

Although Huo Sining had a fair understanding of high seas gambling and knew that many high-stakes gamblers liked to flock to cruise ships, the sight of hundreds of large and small cruise ships moored at the docks still left her astonished.

The cruise ships were moored systematically, arranged according to size. When Huo Sining and her group entered, the first thing they saw were some small-sized cruise ships. The further they walked, the larger the ships became.

By the end, even Huo Sining felt somewhat numb.

The few cruise ships at the farthest distance were two to three hundred meters long. Such mega cruise ships, even if they were a considerable distance from the shore, still created a significant visual impact.

It was truly shocking. Compared to these giant tankers, the cruise ships in the S City cruise ship terminal were simply no match.

”My goodness, no wonder people say that you don’t know the true size of the sea until you see it. It’s better to travel thousands of miles than to read thousands of books. Look at these cruise ships; compared with the ones in our S City, it’s truly day and night. Next to them, our city’s cruise ships can only be called boats. This is the difference!”

Bai Yishan couldn’t help but remark, ”Now I can finally understand why, back in the day, so many people were desperate to secure a ticket for the maiden voyage of the Titanic. I think anyone with the money to buy a ticket would be tempted just by seeing the ship!”

Song Chaojing chewed gum and gave Huo Sining and the others a sideways glance, proudly saying,

”The Titanic? What’s that compared to our Hong Kong luxury cruise ships. Look, do you see that largest cruise ship in the farthest place? That’s where we’re going to board today, and it also has a very beautiful and touching name.”

Su Qingqing and the others looked in the direction Song Chaojing was pointing, and saw a magnificent luxury cruise ship moored several nautical miles away, with four giant blue letters on its snowy white body standing out distinctly.

The Asia Star!

This luxury cruise ship was world-renowned, not only because it was private property of the Song Group, but also because of its luxurious construction.

The mammoth vessel was a private cruise ship built by the Gambling King at a cost of twenty billion, and it was said that it took six years just to construct. It only started its maiden voyage last year.

The ”Asia Star” has a length of 365 meters, a width of 47 meters, and a draught height of 64 meters, with a total of sixteen decks.

There are a total of 2,700 cabins on the cruise ship, capable of simultaneously accommodating 6,000 passengers and a crew of 2,160 members, functioning like a bustling city.

This luxurious gambling ship is four times larger than the famous ”Titanic.” On this ”behemoth of the sea,” it is said to house luxury restaurants, shopping promenades, Broadway theaters, a swimming sports center, casinos, sanatoriums, massage rooms, beauty centers, libraries, and even features a central park and golf course!

Somebody once ranked all the luxury cruise ships in the world, and the ”Asia Star” easily made it into the top ten in both cost and facilities! On this cruise ship, as long as you have money, you can live a life of total indulgence!

Huo Sining noticed many tourists queuing up at the dock, with numerous boats docking to pick them up. After the tourists boarded these boats, the boats would start their engines and head towards the anchored cruise ships out at sea.

”Those are tourists from all over the world. They come to Hong Kong for shopping, and many also want to try their luck on the gambling ships,” someone explained.

Seeing Huo Sining and the others showing great interest, Song Chaoying couldn’t help but slow down and, with a hint of pride on her face, meticulously explained to them.

Only then did Huo Sining and the others learn that most of the cruise ships docked at the port, aside from being private properties, were predominantly Hong Kong’s gambling ships.

These gambling ships dock in the harbor every morning to attract customers. Then, they sail into the high seas, where passengers can enjoy the scenery or fish in open water. But, of course, most people go there to gamble. The gambling ships return to the harbor at dawn and continue their journey the next day.

These gambling ships are naturally classified by level. The smaller ones can carry dozens to a hundred people, while the larger ones can accommodate thousands.

The tickets for an ordinary cruise are not expensive— one or two hundred Hong Kong dollars can get you a day on the ship, including three meals with lunch, dinner, and midnight snacks, and even a private standard cabin for every two people to rest in after play.

Of course, the luxurious cruise ships might cost a bit more, but they won’t be exorbitantly priced, as the main income of the gambling ships comes from the gamblers’ stakes. In any casino, the banker always has a higher chance of winning than the gamblers.

Don’t be fooled by the cheap cost of living on the cruise ships. In reality, there are virtually no visitors who only eat, sightsee, and sleep without gambling after boarding.

High seas gambling offers a greater temptation because a cruise ship is an enclosed space. Aside from admiring the sea view, there is little else for passengers to do, making them very susceptible to temptation.

Furthermore, psychologically, many tourists may feel that if they disembark without even trying to gamble, their trip was in vain.

Therefore, many tourists might only be curious about what high seas gambling is about and have no intention of actually gambling themselves. But once they board the ship, they’re easily swayed and reeled in. And once these people enter the casino, the cruise ship owner is guaranteed to make a profit.

”Miss Liu, the ship is about to set sail, and the Ye family is urging us,” a staff member interjected, reminding Huo Sining to return to the present. She apologized to Song Chaoying with a smile.
