Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing naturally knew that entering a royal family’s ancestral tomb wasn’t so easy. He brought Fat Wang along without letting him leave for this reason. Fat Wang is a master tomb raider; when it comes to entering the Yelu family’s ancestral tomb, it’ll be necessary for Fat Wang to help.

However, Ye Qing didn’t anticipate that there’s a time restriction for entering the Wanyan family’s ancestral tomb.

”So when is the right time to enter?” Ye Qing asked.

”During the full moon of every month...” The tall man looked up at the half moon in the night sky, and said, ”It will be about seven or eight days from now.”

”The full moon? Why must it be at this time?” Ye Qing wondered out loud, ”Does this time have some special meaning?”

”Hmph, our Yelu family is of the imperial lineage; the ancestral tomb we built is not like those ordinary graves you usually encounter,” the short man replied proudly, ”Let me tell you, the ancestral tomb of our Yelu family was overseen by Ancestor Chen Tuan himself!”

”What!?” Ye Qing’s eyes widened with shock. He already knew the Yelu family tomb isn’t simple, but he didn’t expect it to be constructed under the guidance of Ancestor Chen Tuan.

What kind of person is Ancestor Chen Tuan? He is the most powerful master in the Taoist Sect after Sage Guiguzi. Moreover, Ancestor Chen Tuan has left behind many marks and guided many key matters. Especially Ye Qing, who received the karmic Dao and Innate Skill left by Ancestor Chen Tuan, and it helped Ye Qing greatly. Ye Qing indeed admires and is very curious about Ancestor Chen Tuan. Ye Qing has always wanted to know how many remarkable things this Taoist master has done!

Now, he unexpectedly learned such an important piece of news from the short man’s mouth. The Yelu family’s ancestral tomb was overseen by Ancestor Chen Tuan himself?

With Ancestor Chen Tuan’s status and position, surely it wasn’t just money that could persuade him to build an ancestral tomb. There must be a reason why he decided to oversee the construction of the Yelu family’s tomb. Ye Qing was certain there must be something in the Yelu family tomb that even Ancestor Chen Tuan valued, which is why he agreed to oversee its construction.

Could it be the clues to the Xuanyuan Sword? Is it due to the Xuanyuan Sword clues that Ancestor Chen Tuan personally handled the construction of the Yelu family tomb? Hmm, yes, it must be for this reason; Ancestor Chen Tuan intended to seal this clue, preventing those with ulterior motives from getting it.

While Ye Qing was speculating wildly, the short man continued to narrate the situation in a nonstop manner, finally stating proudly, ”Now you know, Ancestor Chen Tuan had a very good relationship with our Yelu family, which is why he helped us build this ancestral tomb. Ancestor Chen Tuan’s research on formations can be described as transcendental mastery. He used innate conditions to create the main formation map of our family’s tomb. And this main formation map is integrated with the moonlight, forming a grand full moon formation. Only during the full moon will the formation activate. And only when the formation activates during the full moon will several entrances open accordingly. So, if you want to enter our family tomb, you must wait for the full moon. At other times, this ancestral tomb is like it’s in the middle of a thousand-foot mountain; even using modern equipment, you wouldn’t be able to open it!”

Upon hearing this explanation from the short man, Ye Qing finally understood why one must enter during the full moon. It turns out to be a grand formation created using external conditions. Ye Qing had seen similar situations before. The Tomb of Ghost Valley Master is exactly such; it uses the terrain of the mountains and the night sky’s moon and stars to form an Eight Trigrams formation, which can only be entered at specific times. And the Yelu family’s ancestral tomb must operate on similar principles.

”You said the formation activates during the full moon. Isn’t it more difficult to enter when the formation is active?” Ye Qing asked.

”More than difficult, the formation is left by Ancestor Chen Tuan, and any misstep can cost your life!” the tall man said loudly.

Ye Qing: ”So entering at this time is very dangerous?”

The tall man replied, ”Of course, if it were so easy to enter, wouldn’t the things belonging to our Yelu family have been taken long ago?”

”Uh, I just wanted to ask...” Ye Qing took a deep breath and said, ”Do you know how to traverse this formation?”

The tall and short men exchanged a glance, shrugged their shoulders simultaneously, and said, ”We don’t know!”

Ye Qing looked at them and asked, ”Does this mean that once inside the formation, everything depends on me?”

”That’s correct!” they replied simultaneously.

”Uh, then let me ask you guys another question...” Ye Qing said, ”Since I have to rely entirely on myself, what do I need the two of you for?”

”You need to understand two things. First, without us, you wouldn’t even know where the Yelu Family’s ancestral tomb is,” the short one said. ”Second, without Yelu Family’s blood, even during a full moon, the great formation still won’t open. So outsiders, no matter who they are, can’t bypass the Yelu Family people and directly enter the Yelu Family’s ancestral tomb—that’s impossible!”

Ye Qing nodded and said, ”That’s actually true.”

”What’s the point of saying ’actually true’? It’s totally true!” the tall one smirked and said, ”Alright, I won’t waste words with you. There’s still seven days to go; you should prepare. On the sixth day, I’ll tell you the exact location of the ancestral tomb, and then we can go over there.”

Ye Qing glanced at the two guarding elders, knowing that it was impossible to directly ask them for the location of the ancestral tomb, so he didn’t press further. These two old guys were stubborn but highly alert, and Ye Qing couldn’t be bothered to argue with them.

After saying goodbye to the two elders, Ye Qing went straight upstairs and returned to his room. In the room sat a bunch of people closely associated with Ye Qing, including Old Wang Ba, Lin Tianyou, Helian Tiehua, Wolf Monk Ding Lianshun, and Yin Xianzi. Even Old Chen was there, though he was sitting on the sofa gnawing on roast duck. It’s unclear where Old Chen got his appetite; he already had dinner not long ago and yet was holding another roast duck. Every time Ye Qing looked at Old Chen, he wondered if the guy hadn’t eaten for a millennium and was reincarnated as a starving ghost.

When Ye Qing entered the room, Old Wang Ba was narrating to everyone how they were pursued by the Koga-ryu people. In fact, after Ye Qing and the others left Shenchuan City for the Sword Saint Sect, the Koga-ryu people appeared again, attacking Old Wang Ba and trying to capture the Yelu Family members. Luckily, Lin Tianyou was still in Shenchuan City at the time and stopped these people, allowing Old Wang Ba to escape with the Yelu Family members.

Thereafter, they were hunted by the Koga-ryu people along the way, but Old Wang Ba’s escaping skills were a notch higher, allowing him to narrowly escape each time. Despite the dangers along the way, they safely reached the Capital and finally reunited with Ye Qing and the group.

”That’s why I say, if it wasn’t for Eighth Master’s cleverness, relying on those little guys from the Yelu Family, they’d likely have been captured by the Koga-ryu people with none remaining,”

When Ye Qing entered the room, Old Wang Ba had one foot on the sofa and was waving a hand while boasting. He spat as he spoke, seemingly unaware and instead looking very pleased.

Everyone was familiar with Old Wang Ba, naturally knowing that he was mostly bragging, so they didn’t pay him much mind. Seeing Ye Qing come in, they all quickly gathered around.

Helian Tiehua was the first to walk up to Ye Qing and said, ”Alliance Leader Ye, isn’t it a bit inappropriate for us to reunite with the Yelu Family now? The Wanyan Family is searching for us everywhere. The members of the Yelu Family are weak; if we encounter the Wanyan Family, even if we can’t win, we still have a chance to run away. However, the members of the Yelu Family would find even escaping difficult.”

In fact, the current grand battle has escalated to the level of Peak Masters. Peak Masters are the main fighting force, and in such a battle, even top-level masters don’t qualify to take action. In this situation, keeping the Yelu Family, who don’t even have top-level masters, by their side really is a burden. Helian Tiehua and the others don’t know that the Yelu Family is related to the Xuanyuan Sword and merely think Ye Qing wants to protect the Yelu Family because of his sibling relationship with Yelu Ying.

In Helian Tiehua’s opinion, Ye Qing is being overly cautious. After all, the Yelu Family’s strength isn’t strong and won’t be taken seriously by the Wanyan Family. Therefore, the Wanyan Family shouldn’t take action against the Yelu Family. In such circumstances, bringing the Yelu Family along could actually bring trouble to them.

Ye Qing certainly knows what Helian Tiehua and the others are thinking, but he can’t reveal the matter of the Xuanyuan Sword. After all, just the scabbard of the Minghong Knife had already given the Wanyan Family the power to attack the Sword Saint Sect and vie for world domination. If news of the Xuanyuan Sword leaked out, who knows how many people would come to snatch it.

Until he acquires the Xuanyuan Sword, Ye Qing temporarily doesn’t want this matter to blow up; otherwise, vying for the Xuanyuan Sword would likely be difficult for him. So, for now, he can only temporarily keep this matter hidden from them.

”I will find a place to hide them, but during this period, they must follow us!” Ye Qing responded calmly, but his tone was indisputable.

The people inside the room exchanged glances; Ye Qing’s tone was unexpectedly firm. However, they didn’t ask further questions; everyone had great trust in Ye Qing.

”Alright then!” Helian Tiehua nodded and said, ”So what should we do during this period? I’ve received news that Wanyan Hongfeng has gone into seclusion.”

”Wanyan Hongfeng went into seclusion?” Ye Qing was stunned; he didn’t know about this, and the news was truly shocking to him.

”Yes!” Ding Lianshun beside him nodded and said, ”Currently, the Wanyan Family is under the control of Wanyan Number Two. However, before Wanyan Hongfeng went into seclusion, he had already given orders for Corpse Ghost Dragon to wield the scabbard of the Minghong Knife and lead the Wanyan Family in fully hunting us down.”
