Urban Martial Saint

The reason Ye Qing didn’t let the Sword Saint Sect Master come in actually stems from the cave suppressed by the Immovable Bodhisattva Seal.

Previously, outside the chamber where Patriarch Bodhidharma passed away, Ye Qing had seen such a cave and knew how dangerous it was. Inside the chamber where Patriarch Bodhidharma passed away, an Eternal Demon was imprisoned. The situation there is almost identical to this place. Moreover, when Ye Qing moved the Immovable Bodhisattva Seal slightly at that time, the chains dragged a very powerful dragon crocodile into the cave.

Ye Qing wasn’t sure how formidable the demon inside the cave here was, but given it’s suppressed by the Immovable Bodhisattva Seal, it certainly isn’t simple. Ye Qing didn’t let the Sword Saint Sect Master follow him for fear that the demon inside the cave might act again. If those chains activated once more and dragged the Sword Saint Sect Master in, it would be troublesome.

Ye Qing himself is not afraid of these things; the power within him now would not fear them. But the Sword Saint Sect Master is different; Ye Qing couldn’t let him take risks. Besides, in this cave, people from the Wanyan Family are blocked by the Immovable Bodhisattva Seal and completely unable to get out. Ye Qing would not face any danger going down, so he really didn’t need to worry about this at all.

Ye Qing had been underwater several times and was familiar with the terrain inside. After diving, Ye Qing set his direction and swam towards the location of the entrance from earlier.

The entrance was quite far from the shore, but fortunately, the water was still, and Ye Qing knew the Fetal Breathing Technique, which made moving in the water convenient. After swimming for about ten minutes, Ye Qing arrived near the giant rock.

Reaching out to grab the giant rock, Ye Qing poked his head out of the water, took a deep breath, and dove back underwater. Just as he was about to search for the entrance, two strands of seaweed silently approached from behind, and before Ye Qing noticed them, they wrapped directly around both his arms.

The seaweed was like octopus tentacles, with suckers and tendrils, extremely agile and powerful. Ye Qing was caught by the seaweed, unable to struggle, with his arms raised directly by the seaweed. Simultaneously, more strands reached out and bound Ye Qing’s legs, securing all his limbs tightly to the giant rock.

Ye Qing, in the water, couldn’t even open his mouth to call for help. The power in his limbs couldn’t break these few strands of seaweed. The seaweed was too resilient; perhaps only a Famed Instrument could cut through them. But with Ye Qing’s hands and feet tightly bound, he had no time to draw the Scabbard of the Ancestor of Miao Dao from his back. In such a situation, Ye Qing was completely unable to struggle free!

The situation chilled Ye Qing’s heart. In fact, when he first entered the underwater area, he had encountered an attack by the seaweed. At that time, the Water Grass Giant’s power was terrifying, and Ye Qing and Fat Wang almost died in the water. However, unexpectedly, the Taoist Sovereign on Ye Qing’s right wrist suddenly emitted a light that scared away the Water Grass Giant, which never appeared again.

After the Water Grass Giant was scared off by the Taoist Sovereign, Ye Qing thought it was thoroughly afraid, so he didn’t pay much attention. Furthermore, when leaving, he hadn’t encountered the Water Grass Giant again, and Ye Qing forgot about it, so he dared to dive alone. Who would have thought that upon entering the water, he would again encounter the Water Grass Giant and even be entangled? What’s going on here?

Observing the seaweed clinging to him, Ye Qing noticed these were thicker than the seaweed tendrils he had seen on the Water Grass Giant before. Additionally, Ye Qing had severed many of the seaweed strands from that Water Grass Giant, crippling its ability to counterattack. Why was there another one? Could it be that there wasn’t just one Water Grass Giant in this water?

As Ye Qing speculated, several figures suddenly swam over from the front, appearing like several people approaching from afar. This sight caused Ye Qing’s heart to skip a beat; he knew what was coming was definitely not human, but another Water Grass Giant.

Sure enough, those figures quickly approached, and Ye Qing gradually distinguished their appearances. They were indeed more Water Grass Giants, tallying up to six in total. Among them was the Water Grass Giant Ye Qing first encountered. However, compared with the surrounding Water Grass Giants, the one Ye Qing first encountered wasn’t particularly large. The leading Water Grass Giant was truly magnificent, estimated to be one and a half zhang tall. If it weren’t for the depth of the water, this figure might not have been able to hide underwater!

Seeing these Water Grass Giants, Ye Qing’s expression changed dramatically. He couldn’t fight one Water Grass Giant, and now, with so many approaching at once, he was in grave danger.

Although there were numerous experts on the shore, the problem was none of them knew what was happening underwater. Ye Qing’s Fetal Breathing Technique could sustain him holding his breath for up to half an hour underwater. As long as these Water Grass Giants entangled Ye Qing beyond that time, he would likely suffocate to death. Could it be that this time, he was fated to die at the hands of these Water Grass Giants?

Meanwhile, the Water Grass Giant, whose many tentacles were earlier cut off by Ye Qing, was gesturing at the lead Water Grass Giant, constantly pointing at Ye Qing’s wrist. It seemed like he was talking about the Dao of Respect with the Water Grass Giant. It was no wonder, since he was scared away by the light of the Taoist Sovereign just now, and of course the first thing he would talk about when he came over was the issue of the Taoist Sovereign.

The lead Water Grass Giant was clearly intrigued. He slowly swam over to Ye Qing, first sizing Ye Qing up and down, and eventually his gaze fixed on Ye Qing’s wrist. The Taoist Sovereign that Ye Qing wore on his wrist evidently drew him in. He stared at Ye Qing’s wrist for a while, then suddenly extended a tentacle to wrap around Ye Qing’s wrist, reaching to grasp the Taoist Sovereign.

Only at this moment did Ye Qing get a close look at this Water Grass Giant. The Water Grass Giant didn’t look much different from an ordinary person, except for the large build and the sprawling water grass on him, signifying that he wasn’t human. His hands even had webs, resembling the webbed feet of a duck, which seemed very peculiar. However, such a form would make swimming in water quite convenient.

The leading Water Grass Giant pulled at Ye Qing’s wrist a few times but couldn’t remove the Taoist Sovereign. This visibly annoyed him, and he began to exert more force. But the result was the same; the Taoist Sovereign seemed to be born onto Ye Qing’s hand, impossible to take off. Conversely, the Taoist Sovereign even began to glow faintly with a Qing Mang, as if roused by this giant.

Seeing the Qing Mang of the Taoist Sovereign, the other Water Grass Giants seemed slightly afraid, retreating to take cover. Even the lead Water Grass Giant appeared somewhat wary, but he didn’t back off; instead, he circled around Ye Qing a few times, studying the Taoist Sovereign, as though contemplating the relationship between the Taoist Sovereign and Ye Qing, or perhaps pondering the true power of the Taoist Sovereign.

Ye Qing was tightly bound by the water grass, unable to struggle at all. He could only hope in his heart that the Taoist Sovereign would scare off that Water Grass Giant. However, after circling Ye Qing, the lead Water Grass Giant showed no sign of fear. Instead, he grabbed Ye Qing’s wrist again, continuing to pull at the Taoist Sovereign with force.

The light from the Taoist Sovereign grew brighter, but it didn’t harm the Water Grass Giant in the slightest. Seeing this, the other Water Grass Giants no longer felt afraid, gradually closing in, tentatively approaching to see the strength of the Taoist Sovereign.

Ye Qing was utterly helpless; if even the Taoist Sovereign couldn’t frighten these Water Grass Giants, wouldn’t he be in trouble? Does it mean that this time he is really going to die here?

The leading Water Grass Giant tried again and again, using all his strength, yet he still couldn’t remove the Taoist Sovereign. This made him even more furious, suddenly throwing a punch at Ye Qing’s face. This guy, in his rage, directed his anger entirely at Ye Qing.

Being punched, Ye Qing was also furious inside. But being tangled by the water grass, he had no way to fight back, only staring angrily at the Water Grass Giant. And the Water Grass Giant was unrelenting, throwing another punch, and then another, all landing on Ye Qing.

Fortunately, Ye Qing’s body was extremely resilient. It wasn’t just these Water Grass Giant’s punches that couldn’t harm him; even if a famed instrument was used to slash, it wouldn’t cause him any damage. This beating left no trace of pain but left Ye Qing feeling extremely stifled. This damn feeling of being tied up and beaten was just too unpleasant!

After a few punches, seeing that Ye Qing was not harmed at all, the Water Grass Giant was somewhat surprised. He stared at Ye Qing for a while as if pondering something. After a moment, he suddenly stepped back and gestured to the other Water Grass Giants behind him, whose meaning was unclear.

The other Water Grass Giants seemed to understand his meaning, and two Water Grass Giants quickly retreated. Not long after, these two Water Grass Giants rushed back again, only now they had many weapons wrapped in the water grass on their bodies.

Seeing this scene, Ye Qing was momentarily stunned. These weapons had been underwater for who knows how long, yet they showed no signs of rust, clearly indicating that they weren’t ordinary weapons. Could it be that these are famed instruments? If so, these Water Grass Giants must have quite the wealth to stash away so many famed instruments?

But why did these Water Grass Giants bring so many famed instruments?
