Urban Martial Saint

”You, you’re clever, but your heart is too honest.” Old Wang Ba said, ”If you go to their base and can’t find Wen’er’s mother, then it’s our fault in the first place, and they will definitely make a fuss about it. However, over at the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master, it is they who want to snatch our Huaxia’s treasure first, so it’s clearly their fault. Since they made the mistake, if we capture them, we don’t have to worry about them turning the tables on us. Don’t worry, those Japanese are shameless, but if they’re caught by the wrist, they can’t deny it either.”

”I see.” Ye Qing suddenly understood, giving Old Wang Ba a glance. This old fellow usually seemed extremely lazy and unscrupulous, almost never doing anything right, and his ideas mostly consisted of rotten ones. Unexpectedly, this time he actually came up with such a good idea, which made Ye Qing look at him with new eyes.

Seeing Ye Qing looking at him, Old Wang Ba boasted, ”How about that? Were you impressed by the brilliant idea of Eighth Master? Now, aren’t you even more impressed with me?”

Ye Qing said, ”Old Wang Ba, you can come up with such an idea, it seems you’re not stupid. Why do you usually come up with only rotten ideas?”

”What kind of nonsense are you talking about!” Old Wang Ba immediately retorted unhappily, ”How come Eighth Master only comes up with rotten ideas? When I’m sharp, I’m even better than Zhuge Liang, I just don’t like to show it off normally. Do you really think I have nothing up my sleeve?”

Ye Qing curled his lips; he believed Old Wang Ba’s words. This guy was smarter than the others. The key problem was that although he was smart, he often caused more trouble than help. This was what made Ye Qing most headache. This time being able to come up with such an idea was really beyond Ye Qing’s expectations, making him wonder, has Old Wang Ba this old fellow really changed his nature?

Seeing Ye Qing’s disapproving look, Old Wang Ba waved his hand and said, ”I won’t waste words with you. You quickly go and arrange this thing. I’m telling you, you must let those Japanese ninjas know we’re going to open the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master this time, yet you can’t let anyone else know. Otherwise, not only you’ll attract Japanese ninjas, but also other people. That would be troublesome. So, think carefully about how to handle it. Also, the manpower arrangement for going to the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master must be sorted out. You need to plan out how many people are going. On the Japanese ninjas’ side, I reckon there’ll be at least three or four peak masters. We must suppress them!”

Ye Qing slightly frowned, and said, ”There are so many peak masters among Japanese ninjas?”

”Nonsense, it’s as if there are few peak masters on the Huaxia side!” Old Wang Ba said, ”The peak masters here in Huaxia can hide for decades, waiting for the chance when the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates open. The experts in Japan and the Church can also hide, waiting for this opening. In fact, Japan’s strength is far inferior to ours in Huaxia. Although they have three or four peak masters, which sounds scary, it is almost one-third of the Iga-ryu’s experts. As for us in Huaxia, let me tell you, just the hidden peak masters within the Seven Steering Committees of the Hong Alliance are more than twenty. On Japan’s side, Iga-ryu and Koga-ryu are the two strongest ninja organizations with the most peak masters. Actually, all of Japan’s peak masters together probably only equal one of the Hong Alliance’s Seven Rudders!”

Ye Qing didn’t understand Japanese ninjas’ strength, but after hearing Old Wang Ba’s explanation, he understood their strength. Although Old Wang Ba didn’t think much of Japanese ninjas, Ye Qing had to admit that their strength was not weak, considering even the Hong Alliance’s Seven Rudders is a very strong force in Huaxia.

Yet, despite Huaxia’s powerful strength, they still need to ally with Japanese ninjas to counter the Church, which shows how strong the Church really is. Ye Qing had heard of the Church’s affairs before, but only had a general understanding of their strength. The Church can be described as having masters like clouds, far surpassing Huaxia’s strength. However, they haven’t fully engaged Huaxia before, so they’ve been evenly matched. This time, according to what Ye Qing heard from the Great Lord before, they are supposed to fully attack Huaxia, which could be dangerous. Given Huaxia’s current situation, can they really withstand the Church?

Ye Qing scratched his head, for now, these things he could only think about. He currently lacks any power, can’t do anything, and can’t affect the world’s balance. The only thing he can do now is quickly open the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master to uncover the secret of the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates.

Ye Qing hadn’t cared much about these secrets before, but after so many events, he finally understood what Shen Tianjun and the others meant by chaos. In this era crowded with masters, without absolute strength, you have no right to protect the people around you. Understanding this, Ye Qing thought of nothing else except to quickly enhance his strength, so even if he can’t protect those around him, at least they wouldn’t be in danger because of him. Just like Huangfu Ziyu, if she hadn’t been looking for Ye Qing, how could she have gotten into her current situation?

Also, what Fu Qingping had recounted intrigued Ye Qing’s curiosity about the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates’ secrets. The graves of past master seniors who passed through the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates contained no bodies, only words saying it’s time to keep an appointment. Their disappearance and this appointment they must keep surely have an inextricable connection with the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates. Moreover, these people often warned future generations not to enter the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates. What exactly lurks within those gates that makes them so wary?

Ye Qing was highly curious about this secret, but knew he’d never manage to enter the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates to investigate. With all these warnings, he was also somewhat wary of them. Even if they opened before him now, he might not enter. All these warnings suggest some issue inside. As such, the only recourse is to investigate elsewhere, like within the Tomb of Ghost Valley Master, which is said to conceal a secret about the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates. Perhaps obtaining this secret will explain the mysteries within those gates.

This secret, even Fu Qingping was eager to know, let alone Ye Qing. After all, the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates have been passed down for thousands of years, ever since the Daoist Great Sage Guiguzi founded these gates, they’ve ruled all in Huaxia. Who wouldn’t want to uncover its thousands-year old secret?

”The peak masters in Japan are indeed many, but so what?” Ye Qing looked at Old Wang Ba, and said, ”With our master joining us, no matter how many peak masters Japan sends, the result will be the same.”

Old Wang Ba’s eyes lit up and he said, ”If Senior Fu is willing to go with us, then it’s not a problem at all. But are you sure Senior Fu is willing to go with us?”

Ye Qing nodded, feeling confident about this. After all, Fu Qingping also wanted to know the secret of the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates. Moreover, the Tomb of the Great Sage Guiguzi from the Taoist Sect, just the mention of it is enough to attract countless people. Fu Qingping is now eager to break the barriers of Acme, and the only way is to seek various kinds of excitement. Entering the Tomb of the Great Sage Guiguzi from the Taoist Sect might bring some enlightenment, and Fu Qingping would certainly not refuse this opportunity.

Old Wang Ba immediately nodded and said, ”Then there’s nothing else to worry about, just find a way to pass this information to those Japanese ninjas.”

”What information to pass?” As soon as Old Wang Ba finished speaking, Bai Li Xi’s voice came from the backyard. Ye Qing and Old Wang Ba turned to look, only to see Bai Li Xi leisurely walking over.

Seeing Bai Li Xi, Ye Qing remembered his true purpose for coming here and quickly said, ”Mr. Bai Li, I have something to discuss with you.”

Seeing Ye Qing’s anxious expression, Bai Li Xi immediately became alert and said, ”Don’t be so polite with me, just tell me what you need.”

”It’s nothing much, just want you to exercise your old skills and help me rescue someone,” Ye Qing laughed.

”Rescue someone?” Bai Li Xi looked Ye Qing up and down and said, ”It’s not that simple, is it? The person you’re talking about is almost dying, right?”

Ye Qing: ”Not at all, it’s just a minor illness. Mr. Bai Li, as long as you lend a hand, curing him would be like child’s play.”

”Minor illness? Not likely, right?” Bai Li Xi said, ”If it’s really a minor illness, why would you come to me? Just go to a clinic and find a doctor, wouldn’t that suffice?”

Ye Qing said, ”Uh, the thing is... this illness is a bit troublesome, and the clinic doctors aren’t sufficient, so I had no choice but to come to you, Mr. Bai Li.”

”Why do I feel like you’re not reliable?” Bai Li Xi said, ”Stop beating around the bush with me, just tell me straight, what exactly is this ’minor illness’ your friend has?”

”Cancer.” Ye Qing spat out the word, simultaneously looking at Bai Li Xi nervously. If Bai Li Xi couldn’t cure this, then Old Fifth Yang would be doomed.

”.....” After a moment of silence, Bai Li Xi rolled his eyes and said, ”Is there something wrong with your head? Are you looking to kill time with me because you have nothing better to do?”

Listening to Bai Li Xi’s words, Ye Qing’s heart sank. Could it be that Bai Li Xi couldn’t cure cancer either?

However, Bai Li Xi’s next words made Ye Qing’s eyes widen. Bai Li Xi looked at Ye Qing with annoyance and said, ”A minor illness like cancer, do you really need to trouble me with that?”
