Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing and the Great Lord both looked at him, and Ye Qing’s eyes were filled with hatred. Although Nalan Jingwei couldn’t understand the foreign language they were speaking, he guessed they were definitely discussing how to deal with him.

Moreover, seeing the injuries of those two from the Church healed, looking as if they were never hurt, shocked him immensely. He knew that one of his elders had an arm chopped off, gravely injured, essentially losing combat ability in the short term. Though the two from the Church were injured too, they seemed likely to recover soon. Calculating things, they were a man down, while the Church’s numbers remained the same; if the skirmish continued, they would definitely be at a disadvantage.

After a moment of hesitation, Nalan Jingwei suddenly stepped back and shouted deeply, ”Retreat!”

Huang Yunfeng and another elder had already gone over to help the injured elder up, contemplating how to handle the situation. Suddenly hearing Nalan Jingwei shout to retreat, they were quite shocked, not understanding why Nalan Jingwei would abandon the fight now. But seeing the enemy’s overwhelming numbers, they knew staying would be very dangerous. Therefore, without delay, they immediately lifted the injured elder and chased after Nalan Jingwei to escape.

Seeing Nalan Jingwei and the others flee, Executioner Scholar’s face turned cold, and he waved for Slaughter Venerable and the other three to retreat. The four of them almost simultaneously chased after Nalan Jingwei’s four.

The Church people wanted to pursue but were stopped by the Great Lord. The Great Lord knew clearly, although their side had slightly more numbers and strength, the enemy’s eight were equally strong. If they truly wanted to keep these eight, the Church would face heavy losses, and among these ten Peak Masters, a few might die here.

Currently, to the Great Lord, the struggle with Huaxia’s Peak Masters wasn’t the main concern; it was the Buddha’s Relic and that Healing Holy Medicine. If he could obtain these and return to the Church, he’d achieve a great merit. As for Nalan Jingwei and Executioner Scholar, he wasn’t in a hurry to kill them now. When the Church’s masters fully invasion Huaxia later, it wouldn’t be too late to eliminate them!

Watching these people go far, the Great Lord quickly gathered his men, drove away from the place swiftly. Since these people had retreated, it was time to flee quickly, leaving them behind.

Nalan Jingwei, leading his group to retreat, ran about ten miles when Executioner Scholar and his group caught up.

Executioner Scholar, resentful of Nalan Jingwei’s sudden retreat, sped up and blocked Nalan Jingwei and his people, spoke deeply, ”Nalan Jingwei, we agreed to deal with the Church together, what does this sudden retreat mean?”

Nalan Jingwei, feeling they were far from the abandoned factory, stopped. He looked at Executioner Scholar and his companions, speaking deeply, ”What do I mean? Couldn’t you see the situation then? Ye has Healing Holy Medicine, given to those people, allowing rapid recovery of injuries and strength. So, even if we continue fighting and wound the Church’s people, they’ll quickly heal. But what about us? We eight now have one severely injured, and our strength is inherently slightly weaker. Moreover, they recover quickly, but we have nothing. Continuing the fight, what do you think the outcome will be?”

Nalan Jingwei’s words made Executioner Scholar’s face turn cold. Though displeased inwardly, he had to admit Nalan Jingwei was right. Given that situation, continuing would certainly disadvantage them. After all, Nalan Jingwei’s side had one gravely injured, already weaker in strength. Fighting relentlessly, they might all end up stuck there!

However, Executioner Scholar had different thoughts from Nalan Jingwei. Executioner Scholar mostly wanted to deplete the Church’s power, irrespective of who was stronger, he aimed to fight recklessly. Once Nalan Jingwei’s people nearly exhausted the Church’s strength, they’d seize Ye Qing.

Yet, Nalan Jingwei’s sudden retreat instantly disrupted his plans. But in front of Nalan Jingwei, he couldn’t reveal his intentions too explicitly; that would make Nalan Jingwei alert, making it hard to use them again.

”This is a rare opportunity. Though the enemies aren’t weak, if we fight strategically, we may not lose completely.” Executioner Scholar paused, then said, ”But if they escape, where will we find Ye Qing? If they take Ye Qing to the Church, we’ll never see the Buddha’s Relic again!”

”Hmph, this is Huaxia’s territory; escaping won’t be easy!” Nalan Jingwei coldly glanced at Executioner Scholar, saying, ”Actually, even if they escape, you should be able to track them down.”

Seeing Nalan Jingwei confidently looking at him, Executioner Scholar knew denying was meaningless now. So he simply stayed silent, tacitly acknowledging it.

”To deal with the Church, just us isn’t enough. The best plan is to gather more masters and join forces against them.” Nalan Jingwei said, ”Ye Qing can supply them with Healing Holy Medicine; that’s troublesome. Unless our strength overwhelms them stably, winning won’t be easy.”

”So you’re planning to invite more masters for help,” Executioner Scholar stared at Nalan Jingwei, contemplating this deeply. If Nalan Jingwei sought additional aid, his side’s power increased slightly. At that point, even if they defeated the Church and seized Ye Qing, fighting Nalan Jingwei’s side, taking Ye Qing would be challenging. Thus, Nalan Jingwei’s words made Executioner Scholar wary.

”I can’t invite many but can ask one or two Peak Masters for support; shouldn’t be an issue.” Nalan Jingwei calmly replied.

Executioner Scholar frowned slightly, saying, ”Just one or two Peak Masters, along with us, can’t confidently suppress them.”

Nalan Jingwei smiled slightly, ”I’m limited to inviting one or two Peak Masters, but if Executioner Scholar invites one or two, our strength would certainly overwhelm them?”

Executioner Scholar’s expression changed slightly, shaking his head, ”Everyone knows us Four Great Villains have no friends, let alone Peak Masters willing to aid. Don’t count on me, Nalan Jingwei!”

”Is that so?” Nalan Jingwei coldly laughed, staring at Executioner Scholar, ”Executioner Scholar, many words lose meaning once explained. I won’t say much, but I can only invite two Peak Masters. If you can’t find help, this matter is hopeless. In that case, it’s better to separate; why take unnecessary risks?”

Executioner Scholar frowned deeply, Nalan Jingwei’s words indicated he knew Executioner Scholar had backers. Whether Nalan Jingwei knew of the Wanyan Family was uncertain, but given these circumstances, there wasn’t much choice. Only Nalan Jingwei seeking help alone was worrying. Their strength would exceed his side’s, and even if they defeated the Church, Ye Qing would be captured by Nalan Jingwei’s people, never falling into their hands.

Therefore, for reassurance, they must seek aid too, matching Nalan Jingwei’s strength. Otherwise, there’s no confidence in contending with him against the Church.

Seeing Executioner Scholar silent, Nalan Jingwei laughed coldly again, ”What’s the delay? A decision, yes or no, is all I want. Yes, we find somewhere to rest and seek aid together. No, then we part ways; see you in Jianghu later!”

Nalan Jingwei’s pressing aimed to force Executioner Scholar’s hand, primarily uncovering Executioner Scholar’s backing. As for seizing Ye Qing, Nalan Jingwei had plans, never letting Executioner Scholar easily succeed.

Executioner Scholar pondered, slowly nodded, ”Okay, I’ll try. You invite two Peak Masters, I’ll invite two, hoping to crush the Church’s people!”

”Also, tracking the Church might burden you.” Nalan Jingwei said.

Executioner Scholar said nothing, just glanced at Snake Gentleman beside him. Snake Gentleman nodded slowly, ”Tracking Serpent followed them long enough, leaving a scent on them, lasting seven days. Even if they bathe and change clothes, the scent won’t fade. Ordinary noses can’t detect it, but with medicine, I can track them!”

Hearing Snake Gentleman’s words, Nalan Jingwei understood how they tracked the Church, amazed but pleased, exclaiming, ”Excellent, within seven days, enough to kill them!”
