Urban Martial Saint

”Speak up, the members of the Li Family won’t find out!” Ye Qing said in a deep voice.

The fat man hesitated a bit, but looking at the Seven-Star Ancient Sword in Ye Qing’s hand, he really had no choice. He sighed and whispered, ”I came here this time to pick up some drugs.”

”Hmm?” Ye Qing’s face changed. He had guessed that what the Li Family was selling couldn’t be anything good. But he didn’t expect that the Li Family was actually selling drugs? That’s a truly illegal substance.

To know, over in Shenchuan City, Ye Qing had completely banned drugs. Among gambling, drugs, and prostitution, drugs have the greatest harm and are most needed to be prohibited. But who would have thought that a martial arts family like the Li Family would engage in such business internally? Has the Li Family fallen to this extent?

It’s known that when Northern Fist King Li Changqing was alive, the Li Family was the top family in the North, with a reputation that shook the world. But who could have thought that after Third Master Li left, the Li Family would fall to such a point, not just involved in gambling, but even selling drugs, which is simply a monstrous crime!

The fat man didn’t know what was going through Ye Qing’s mind; seeing Ye Qing’s expression change, he thought Ye Qing was displeased with him, and quickly said, ”I... I didn’t pick up much, and I don’t have much money either. I only have five or six spots under my belt, and the goods I picked up are just enough for myself. The entire Liaodong Province’s goods are all run by the Li Family. What I picked up is not even a drop in the ocean...”

”You just said, the entire Liaodong Province’s drugs are all controlled by the Li Family?” Ye Qing frowned tightly and said in a deep voice, ”Is that true?”

”Of course it’s true!” The fat man said, ”How strong is the Li Family’s influence in Liaodong Province? Besides them, who else could control the entire drug market of Liaodong Province?”

Ye Qing clenched his fist; the bigger the business the Li Family does, the more people it harms, and the heavier the animosity in Ye Qing’s heart against the Li Family. Who could have thought that the once-glorious Li Family would become a gangster’s den? If Third Master Li were watching from above, he would be heartbroken.

”Who’s mainly in charge of these Li Family businesses?” Ye Qing asked in a deep voice, ”Is it handled by Li Changshan?”

”Li Changshan?” The fat man was stunned for a moment and said, ”Are you talking about that Family Head of the Li Family?”

”That’s right, it’s him!” Ye Qing nodded. From the fat man’s words, Ye Qing vaguely sensed that Li Changshan did not handle these matters.

”What does it have to do with him!” The fat man curled his lips and said, ”That so-called Family Head is just a waste. All he knows is to practice martial arts every day and doesn’t care about anything else. I’m telling you, a few years ago, the Li Family in Liaoshen City was so poor they couldn’t even afford to put food on the table. Later, Li Changshan let his cousin Li Changyuan take over the family’s financial power, and the Li Family began to change. All the outside businesses of the Li Family now were created by Li Changyuan, including these drug businesses, all run by Li Changyuan. And the two casinos inside the Li Family Courtyard, you’ve seen them, just those two villas can bring in tens of millions every month with small operations. If not for Li Changyuan, many members of the Li Family might have starved to death. And it’s because of Li Changyuan that these members of the Li Family drive luxury cars and live in mansions now. I’m telling you, to the Li Family, only Li Changyuan matters now, who cares about Li Changshan? As for these Li Family businesses, Li Changshan hasn’t even looked at them. I think Li Changshan is now just a puppet.”

From the fat man’s words, Ye Qing gained some understanding of Li Changshan’s position in the Li Family. It seems that the downfall of the Li Family has nothing to do with Li Changshan; it’s all because of Li Changyuan’s machinations. It looks like Li Changshan isn’t a bad person, just incompetent. But this Li Changyuan truly is a scourge!

After figuring everything out, Ye Qing felt a little more at ease. At least, Third Master Li’s younger brother Li Changshan hasn’t become corrupt, and there’s still hope for the Li Family.

”Do you know someone called Northern Martial Zen?” Ye Qing suddenly asked.

”Northern Martial Zen?” The fat man thought for a moment and said, ”I’ve heard someone mention that he seems to be quite close to Li Changyuan. Many of Li Changyuan’s businesses are operated in cooperation with this Northern Martial Zen. Especially the drug business. Before Li Changyuan went into this business, the substances in Liaodong Province were handled by scattered traders. Later, Li Changyuan cooperated with Northern Martial Zen to crush all the scattered traders and centralized the business to his own. Northern Martial Zen provides the supply source, and Li Changyuan is responsible for sales, controlling ninety-five percent of the drug market in Liaodong Province.”

Ye Qing immediately frowned, not expecting that the Li Family’s drug business was supported from behind by Northern Martial Zen. It seems that Northern Martial Zen has been slowly devouring the Li Family from early on. No wonder the Li Family would fall to this stage in such a short time; it was all manipulated by Northern Martial Zen from behind. Unfortunately, Li Changshan lacks the capability. If only he could have stopped this situation sooner, the Li Family wouldn’t have ended up like this.

”Big brother, what... what are you really doing at the Li Family?” The fat man couldn’t help but ask again. Ye Qing asked so many questions that he suddenly couldn’t figure out what Ye Qing’s real purpose was in coming here.

Ye Qing didn’t answer his question and pondered for a moment before saying in a deep voice, ”Then do you know where Li Changshan lives now?”

The fat man said, ”I heard someone mention that this old guy is quite stubborn. Although many houses in the family have been demolished and rebuilt as new villas, he hasn’t torn down the one he lives in. His house is also in the Li Family Courtyard and should be the oldest one, but the Li Family Courtyard is so big, I’ve never been inside to explore, so I don’t know the exact location.”

Ye Qing nodded, knowing that with this information, finding Li Changshan would be easy. Although the Li Family Courtyard is not small, there’s no one managing the place, so just wandering around a few times, you would inevitably find this house.

”Big brother, I’ve told you so much, can you... can you let me go now...” the fat man whispered.

”Let you go? You won’t report back to the Li Family?” Ye Qing said in a deep voice.

”Damn, big brother, don’t mess with me!” The fat man said with a bitter face, ”I already spilled all the Li Family’s secrets. If they knew, I’d be the first to be killed. How would I dare to report? All I want now is to quickly go back, pack my things, and leave. Who has time to report back?”

Of course, Ye Qing wouldn’t believe any of this. He frowned and said in a deep voice, ”I can’t trust you!”

”Then... then what do you want to do...” The fat man was about to cry in panic.

Ye Qing said nothing, just reached out and pressed on the fat man’s Coma Acupoint. His Inner Strength penetrated the skin directly into the acupoint, and the fat man slowly fell to the ground.

The Coma Acupoint is recorded in the Acupoint Seeking Technique, and when this acupoint is struck, one would be unconscious for at least twelve hours before waking up. To prevent these three from reporting back to the Li Family, Ye Qing knocked them out first.

However, to be extra cautious, Ye Qing also found some tape and securely tied up all three of them. This way, even if they woke up, they couldn’t escape to report back.

After settling the three of them, Ye Qing drove the car into a small nearby forest to hide it. In this snowy weather, few people would enter the forest, making it even more unlikely that anyone would find the car and the people inside.

With them taken care of, Ye Qing returned to the Li Family to look for at the complex for the oldest house he had heard about; he needed to find Li Changshan first.

Since the Li Family has turned into this, and it’s not because of Li Changshan becoming depraved, this family can still have a future.

The Li Family Courtyard, though quite vast, had no one stopping Ye Qing as he wandered around looking for the oldest house. After all, no one was managing the place, so he was bound to find that house.

”Big brother, I’ve told you so much, can you let me go now...” the fat man said in a low voice.

”If I let you go, won’t you go and tip off the Li Family?” Ye Qing said in a steady tone.

”Damn, big brother, don’t play with me!” The fat man said with a mournful face, ”I’ve already spilled all the beans on the Li Family’s matters. If they find out, I’d be the first they’d kill. How would I dare to report back?”

Ye Qing obviously didn’t pay attention to that. He frowned and said in a deep voice, ”I can’t trust you.”

He simply placed his hand on the fat man’s Coma Acupoint. His Inner Strength went through the skin and directly struck the acupoint, and the fat man slowly fell into unconsciousness.

The Coma Acupoint causes one to faint for at least twelve hours upon impact. To prevent these three from reporting back to the Li Family, Ye Qing put them to sleep first.

After dealing with them, Ye Qing wrapped all three of them tightly with ropes. That way, even if the three of them woke up, they wouldn’t be able to break free and report back.

Once he had taken care of them, Ye Qing returned to the Li Family and back to the courtyard to look for that oldest house he had been told about; he wanted to find Li Changshan first.

Although the Li Family Courtyard was quite large, there were no guards to stop Ye Qing, so he wandered around, confident that with a few laps, he could surely locate the house.

”Big brother, I’ve told you so much already, can you... can you let me go now...” the fat man whispered.

”If I let you go, won’t you go to inform the Li Family?” Ye Qing said in a deep voice.

”Come on, big brother, don’t jerk me around!” the fat man said with a mournful expression, ”I’ve already said everything about the Li Family. If they find out, I’ll be the first one they kill. How would I dare to report anything?”

Of course, Ye Qing wouldn’t just trust that. He frowned and said in a deep voice, ”I can’t trust you.”

Without further words, he placed his hand on the fat man’s Coma Acupoint, and with a flow of Inner Strength through his skin straight into the acupoint, the fat man slowly fell to the ground, losing consciousness.

This Coma Acupoint makes a person pass out for at least twelve hours once pressed with Inner Strength. To prevent these three from tipping off the Li Family, Ye Qing ensured they were unconscious first.

After binding them securely to ensure they wouldn’t break free or report back once they woke up, Ye Qing arranged them and then returned to the Li Family Courtyard to find that oldest house where Li Changshan resides.

Since the Li Family falling to its current state had nothing to do with Li Changshan and was orchestrated by Li Changyuan alone, Ye Qing believed that Li Changshan wasn’t a bad person, just not very capable. It gave him some relief. At least, Third Master Li’s younger brother hadn’t turned corrupt, and the Li Family still had someone to carry on its legacy.

Although the Li Family Courtyard was quite large, no one intercepted Ye Qing as he circled around looking for the oldest house. He was certain that with a few laps, he could find the house.

”Brother, since I’ve told you so much, can you... release me now...” the fat man whispered pleadingly.

”If I let you go, wouldn’t you run to tip off the Li Family?” Ye Qing said in a low voice.

”Come on, brother, don’t mess with me!” the fat man said with a mournful face, ”I’ve already spilled all the beans on the Li Family. If they find out, I’d be the first guy they’d kill. How could I dare report to them now?”

Ye Qing, of course, wasn’t going to listen to that. He furrowed his brow and said in a deep voice, ”I can’t trust you!”

He simply pressed his hand on the fat man’s Coma Acupoint. The Inner Strength flowed through the skin directly into this acupoint, and the fat man slowly fell to the ground.

The Coma Acupoint, when pressed, causes a person to faint for at least twelve hours before they can awaken. To ensure these three don’t report back to the Li Family, Ye Qing incapacitated them first.

After securing them, Ye Qing drove the car into a small nearby forest for concealment. With the snowy weather, it was even less likely that someone would stumble across the car and the people inside.

Having taken care of them, Ye Qing returned to the Li Family Courtyard to search for the oldest house mentioned earlier; he wanted to find Li Changshan first.

Since the Li Family ended up in its current state without Li Changshan’s doing, and it was all orchestrated by Li Changyuan, Ye Qing felt that Li Changshan was still not fallen, and there was hope for the Li Family yet.

Although the Li Family Courtyard was quite vast, no one stopped Ye Qing from wandering around looking for the oldest house. After all, no one was in charge of the place, and by taking a few turns, he should easily find the house.

Once he located them, Ye Qing approached the courtyard and saw that it was indeed the most rundown of the houses, probably Li Changshan’s residence. He glanced around and noticed that the courtyard was also quite old, but it was kept tidy. It was visible that the person who lived here was meticulous, looking quite at odds with the other villas.

The courtyard contained a row of houses, with the light still on in one room. Before he got any closer, Ye Qing heard voices from inside the room. He immediately ducked and quietly hid, listening attentively.

”Big brother, you... what exactly are you doing at the Li Family?” The fat man couldn’t help but ask again as Ye Qing asked so much, suddenly unsure of what Ye Qing’s true purpose was for coming here.

Ye Qing did not answer his question; he paused for a moment and asked solemnly, ”Do you know where Li Changshan is living now?”

The fat man said, ”I heard people say that this old guy is quite stubborn. Although many of the family’s houses have been torn down and turned into new villas, the house he lives in hasn’t been torn down. His house is also inside the Li Family Courtyard, and it should be the oldest set of houses, but the Li Family courtyard is so large that I haven’t wandered in there, so I don’t know where it is exactly.”

Ye Qing nodded, with this information, it wouldn’t be difficult to locate Li Changshan. Despite the Li Family Courtyard’s vastness, there was no one there to stop him from walking around, and he was certain he would find the house after a few circles.
