Urban Martial Saint

Prince Nalan is famous throughout the world, but there are very few people who know his true name.

When the name Nalan Jingwei was mentioned, a commotion erupted in the room, especially among the Nalan family. Because Nalan Jingwei is the true name of Prince Nalan!

”How dare you, to directly call the Prince by his name!” A man from the Nalan family shouted loudly: ”Are you...”

Before the man could finish his sentence, a tattered shoe flew in from outside and landed squarely in his mouth. The rest of his words were swallowed along with it, as the shoe was lodged deeply. He struggled to pull it out, and his mouth bled from the impact.

The other members of the Nalan family, who had also intended to scold, immediately shut their mouths upon seeing his fate. A wise man doesn’t court trouble. Who would want to get beaten up like that? Never mind the pain, just having a smelly shoe stuck in your mouth is enough to kill by stench. Even if it doesn’t stink, it’s humiliating!

Prince Nalan furrowed his brows and said seriously, ”Joyous Monk, you dare to appear in the Capital again. It seems I don’t need to find you anymore!”

Ye Qing had actually recognized the voice outside; it was none other than Joyous Monk. Hearing his voice, Ye Qing was immediately excited. He had come here to find Joyous Monk and retrieve the Seven-Star Ancient Sword. Now that Joyous Monk had come to him, Ye Qing had the opportunity to reclaim the sword.

”Of course, you don’t need to find me; the Buddha Master himself has come to you!” With Joyous Monk’s loud laughter, a monk dressed in yellow robes burst in from the entrance. In his hands, he was holding two people—Nalan Tianyu and Helian Qingfeng.

Nalan Tianyu and Helian Qingfeng were both in a severely battered state, especially Nalan Tianyu, whose body was covered in wounds. Helian Qingfeng was slightly better, as he appeared to have only been hung up overnight and not seriously hurt. But even that was painful enough.

Seeing Nalan Tianyu, the Nalan family members wanted to rush forward to save him, but Prince Nalan stopped them directly with a shout.

As for Helian Tiehua’s side, upon seeing Helian Qingfeng, they acted as if they hadn’t seen him at all. The subordinates of Helian Tiehua were loyal only to him. Although Helian Qingfeng was Helian Tiehua’s own son, he was not someone they were obliged to obey. Moreover, Helian Tiehua was known for his strict family discipline. If he did not order a rescue, his subordinates dared not act on their own!

”Helian Tiehua, your son sneaked around trying to ambush me, the Buddha Master. I didn’t kill him, considering it as saving face for you.” Joyous Monk tossed Helian Qingfeng over to Helian Tiehua’s side and said loudly, ”Now, your son is returned to you. My business with the Nalan family has nothing to do with you. I know the Nalan Old Ghost won’t save face for you, so your attempt to ally with him is bound to fail. Therefore, it’s best you don’t get involved with me and the Nalan family’s matters!”

Helian Tiehua said nothing; he just quietly looked at Helian Qingfeng curled up on the ground and said solemnly, ”Stand up!”

In front of his father, Helian Qingfeng was no longer arrogant and domineering. He trembled as he stood up. After taking just a couple of steps, Helian Tiehua kicked him in the chest, sending him flying back to the ground. He coughed up several mouthfuls of blood, and several of his ribs were broken.

The Nalan family members were all taken aback; Helian Qingfeng was Helian Tiehua’s own son. Although he was already severely injured, Helian Tiehua didn’t even first check his injuries. Instead, he kicked him so hard. Is this still a father?

Helian Tiehua ignored the strange gazes from others and coldly looked at Helian Qingfeng, saying sternly, ”I told you not to cause trouble for Ye Qing and Huangfu Ziyu again. Did you not hear me?”

Helian Qingfeng struggled to kneel, his voice trembling, ”Father, I... I was wrong...”

”It’s a good thing Ziyu was not harmed. Otherwise, I would have killed you!” Helian Tiehua’s voice was icy, showing genuine anger.

Helian Qingfeng kept his head down, not daring to reply at all. Helian Tiehua was always strict, and as his son, Helian Qingfeng was very afraid of him. Regarding this matter with Ye Qing, he knew he was at fault and didn’t dare to show any dissatisfaction.

Helian Tiehua waved a hand and said solemnly, ”Take him back, confine him for three months, and don’t let him step out of the Meng District for five years!”

A person beside them immediately walked over, lifted Helian Qingfeng onto their back, and left the hotel directly. Throughout the process, not a single person stopped them, nor did anyone stand up to speak on behalf of Helian Qingfeng. This is how Helian Tiehua disciplined his children; any mistake would be met with punishment, without mercy!

”General Helian is indeed magnanimous!” Joyous Monk laughed heartily and said, ”Even his method of disciplining his son is different from others. Unlike the Nalan family, whose eldest grandson is so coddled as if they fear he’d melt in their mouths or break in their hands. Raising him into a great waste. Yet, he is to be the future head of the Nalan family. In my view, this Nalan family won’t last long. Let me expedite the end of your Nalan family’s fate then!”

A member of the Nalan family shouted angrily, ”Joyous Baldy, fifteen years ago, you killed so many of our Nalan family. We’ve always remembered that blood debt. I didn’t expect you would dare to return to the Capital today. This time, our Nalan family will make you repay that debt in blood!”

The Joyous Monk suddenly turned his head and glanced at him, frightening the person into quickly taking a step back, instinctively reaching to cover his own mouth.

”Hahaha...” The Joyous Monk laughed up at the sky again, saying, ”With courage like this, you still want me to pay for blood with blood? Nalan Old Thief, it seems your Nalan family has truly fallen!”

Prince Nalan’s expression was calm as he quietly watched the Joyous Monk, saying, ”Joyous Monk, in these fifteen years, your progress has indeed been significant. No wonder you dare to come looking for our Nalan family. It seems you are confident of certain victory!”

The Joyous Monk leisurely replied, ”I originally wasn’t, but last night, I, the Buddha Master, acquired a treasure. With this treasure, I now have the qualification to challenge you!”

”It’s the Seven-Star Ancient Sword, isn’t it?” Prince Nalan said coldly, ”Do you really think you can cause trouble in our Nalan family just relying on a famed instrument?”

”A single famed instrument wouldn’t qualify me to cause trouble. But don’t forget, this famed instrument is the Seven-Star Ancient Sword!” The Joyous Monk’s eyes suddenly flashed with a sharp glint as he sneered and said, ”You should be well aware of the power of the Seven-Star Ancient Sword!”

”Even though the Seven-Star Ancient Sword is powerful, it does not recognize you. In your hands, it’s just like an ordinary famed instrument!” Prince Nalan said solemnly, ”Even if you have the Seven-Star Ancient Sword, what can you do to me?”

”Hmph, can’t we find out if I can do something to you by trying?” The Joyous Monk sneered coldly as he directly unsheathed the Seven-Star Ancient Sword from his back.

Prince Nalan also furrowed his eyebrows, took a longsword from a nearby person’s hands, and stood prepared, waiting for the Joyous Monk. It was clear that he was still quite apprehensive about the Seven-Star Ancient Sword. After all, he had personally witnessed Northern Fist King Li Changqing wield it before.

”Wait a moment!” At this moment, Helian Tiehua suddenly stepped forward, blocking in front of the Joyous Monk.

The Joyous Monk frowned and said, ”General Helian, you don’t intend to meddle in this matter, do you? This is between me and the Nalan family!”

”I won’t meddle in your matters with the Nalan family, but...” Helian Tiehua said solemnly, ”Although my son was at fault, you’ve already injured him, which counts as punishment. However, you hung him up for an entire night, and that isn’t quite right. As a father, I must at least seek some explanation for my child!”

The Joyous Monk’s expression changed as he said solemnly, ”Helian Tiehua, what do you want? I didn’t kill your son; that should already count as giving you face.”

”I know!” Helian Tiehua said, ”Therefore, I haven’t planned to make things too difficult for you. Joyous Monk, how about this: I’ll exchange three moves with you. Regardless of victory or defeat after the three moves, my son’s matter will be written off. How about it?”

Upon hearing this, the Joyous Monk immediately laughed and said, ”Helian Tiehua, I know that over these twenty years, your reputation in the Meng District has grown increasingly larger. But don’t be too arrogant. In three moves, what can you do to me?”

”I haven’t planned to do anything to you, but as a father, how can I not act?” Helian Tiehua extended his fist towards the Joyous Monk and said, ”Joyous Monk, do you dare to battle?”

”Good!” The Joyous Monk laughed heartily and said, ”I’ve long heard that Great General Helian Tiehua bestrides the world! Today, I want to see how you truly bestride the world!”

As he spoke, the Joyous Monk moved without apparent action; his entire body pounced towards Helian Tiehua like a big eagle. His hands turned into claws, reaching for Helian Tiehua’s shoulders.

Helian Tiehua neither dodged nor evaded; he just stood there, allowing the Joyous Monk to grab his shoulders. At the same time as the Joyous Monk seized his shoulders, Helian Tiehua’s hands seemed to lift passively and released both palms towards the Joyous Monk’s chest.

The Joyous Monk’s expression changed, and he exerted force with his hands, quickly retreating several steps, finally avoiding Helian Tiehua’s double palm strike. However, in doing so, he appeared a bit disheveled, having already lost a move.

”Good!” From afar, Prince Nalan shouted in a loud voice, ”What a move, the Thirteen Protectors’ Horizontal Golden Bell Shield, using force against force, truly extraordinary!”

The Joyous Monk furrowed his brow and said solemnly, ”Helian Tiehua, I truly did not expect your Thirteen Protectors’ Horizontal Golden Bell Shield to have reached such an achievement. It seems I have underestimated you. However, what can you do to me?”

Saying this, the Joyous Monk once again pounced towards Helian Tiehua like a big eagle. However, this time, his movements changed slightly. When he reached Helian Tiehua, he suddenly sidestepped, maneuvered around Helian Tiehua, and arrived behind him. He lifted his hand and struck three palms, all landing on Helian Tiehua’s back.
