Urban Martial Saint

From Tianfu, Ye Qing learned about the Hong Alliance’s Seven Rudders and the Twelve Green Halls, and he gradually understood what happened twenty years ago.

No wonder Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun repeatedly reminded him that this chaos was very complex, and anyone involved would be swept along. Now, Ye Qing finally understood why. With the power of the Hong Alliance’s Seven Rudders and the Twelve Green Halls, not to mention someone like Ye Qing, even a peak expert like the Five Uniques would find themselves powerless in the middle!

No wonder Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun directly sealed off the Shen Family Manor after returning to Xi Hang. It turned out he wanted to keep the Shen Family out of this struggle, preserving the family’s strength. Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun had no interest in the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates and didn’t want to get involved in the rivalries, so he shut the family off. But Ye Qing still couldn’t understand; if Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun didn’t want to be involved, why did he keep the seven keys at Shen Family Manor?

It’s important to note that the Seven-Star Ancient Sword and the Cold Moon Blade both came from Shen Family Manor. The Overlord Spear was also placed in the Miao Borderlands by Shen Tianjun himself, and was entrusted to Gu Master Mu Chen for safekeeping. If Shen Tianjun had no interest in those Heaven Earth Man Three Gates, why did he do this?

Still puzzled, Ye Qing asked about it, as Tianfu knew Shen Tianjun better than he did.

”Southern Fist King is righteous and bold. His actions were to prevent conflict and to avoid unnecessary slaughter,” Tianfu sighed and said, ”Twenty years ago, that massacre was actually a probing one. Because twenty years ago, the Heaven Earth Man Three Gates weren’t due to open, so even if people snatched these seven keys, they still wouldn’t be able to enter. Thus, neither the Hong Alliance nor Qing Tang would fight full-force over them back then. Only some small factions, not knowing when the gates would open, would compete. Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun didn’t want these people to die in vain, so he gathered the scattered keys and kept them at Shen Family Manor. As such, there was no more fighting, as those small entities dared not challenge Shen Family Manor, and neither would the Hong Alliance or Qing Tang until the gates were ready to open. One could say that Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun, with his might alone, maintained two decades of peace in the Jianghu and preserved the strength of most martial artists in Huaxia!”

Ye Qing suddenly realized and, after hearing Tianfu’s words, felt even more admiration for Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun. He had already respected Shen Tianjun during his stay at Shen Family Manor. Now his view of Shen Tianjun had changed again, reaching a level of reverence. To live like Southern Fist King Shen Tianjun, that is the essence of a true hero!

Ye Qing was silent for a while before suddenly saying, ”Uncle Fu, the reason you’re telling me all these things now is because you think the ambush on Zi Yu is related to the Twelve Green Halls?”

”Exactly!” Tianfu nodded slowly and said, ”I suspect that young man is from the Twelve Green Halls. He not only intends to take the Overlord Spear but also aims to obliterate the Huangfu Household—he’s seeking revenge for the Twelve Green Halls.”

Ye Qing frowned and said, ”But you just said people from the Twelve Green Halls dared not openly enter Huaxia, with the big shots in the Capital keeping an eye on them. But now, not only have they entered, but they are also seizing the Overlord Spear. Surely those in the Capital must be aware?”

”This is just a few people entering; how can it be considered an open invasion of Huaxia?” Tianfu said solemnly, ”Moreover, with such things happening, those big shots in the Capital won’t casually intervene, especially since the Hong Alliance still holds sway. Both sides are still at the stage of probing confrontations, and the true strength of the Hong Alliance has yet to be fully displayed. The people Qing Tang sent are merely the juniors for now. However, the young man they sent this time is likely the most powerful among the young generation of the Twelve Green Halls!”

Ye Qing hadn’t exchanged blows with that man, but within ten moves, he defeated Huangfu Ziyu, then injured Liu Mubai, and even when clashing with Cui Yulong, he held the upper hand, proving his strength. Undoubtedly, among the young generation Ye Qing had seen, none could compare to this man. If he had to draw a comparison, only the white-haired Ding San he met in Tianhui City could stand up to this man.

However, the strength of Ding San was built on countless kills, meant to be fostered into a killing machine by the Bloody Monk, possibly a great threat in the future. The Bloody Monk himself isn’t a good person, after all!

Originally, the affairs of the Bloody Monk and Ding San were enough to give Ye Qing a headache, and now there are also issues with the Hong Alliance’s Seven Rudders and the Twelve Green Halls, leaving Ye Qing frustrated to the extreme. He never could have imagined that after half a year of entering Shenchuan City, he would be swept into so many conflicts. The most important point is that with his current strength, he has no say whatsoever, yet he possesses the most vital item. The Seven-Star Ancient Sword had already been sent to Shenchuan City, and Huangfu Ziyu had been captured. This situation is something he cannot avoid at all!

Seeing Ye Qing silent, Tianfu lightly coughed and said, ”Mr. Ye, I’m... I’m getting old and can’t protect Zi Yu anymore. Zi Yu grew up without parents, which made her independent and strong. I’ve never seen her rely on anyone as she does on you. She truly cares deeply for you. Mr. Ye, I beg you, please, bring Zi Yu back!”

Ye Qing clenched his fists and solemnly promised, ”Uncle Fu, rest assured, even if I have to risk my life, I will definitely save Zi Yu!”

”With those words, I can be at ease!” Tianfu sighed, slowly leaning back on the sofa. After saying so much to Ye Qing, he was truly exhausted. But without Ye Qing’s definitive answer, he couldn’t rest easy.

Looking at Tianfu’s graying hair, Ye Qing couldn’t help but sigh. This man had dedicated his entire life to the Huangfu Household, serving them for life without complaint. Even at this time, he remained concerned about Huangfu Ziyu’s situation, truly loyalty and righteousness!

Slowly leaning back on the sofa, Ye Qing thought about what Tianfu had just said. Not many people know about the Hong Alliance’s Seven Rudders and the Twelve Green Halls, but Tianfu is well informed, since he’s a servant of the Huangfu Household. And the Huangfu Household is part of the Seven Rudders of the Hong Alliance, so Tianfu must’ve heard much about it. In other words, what Tianfu said is definitely true.

According to Tianfu, that young man is likely the most powerful among the young generation of the Twelve Green Halls. His arrival indicates that the Twelve Green Halls is no longer taking things slowly but is starting to send out its core forces. This young man even regards Huangfu Ziyu and Ye Qing as must-eliminate targets. It means that even if Ye Qing doesn’t go after him, he’ll seek out Ye Qing eventually, and a major confrontation is inevitable between them.

Thinking about this, Ye Qing couldn’t help but grit his teeth. Although that young man’s strength is formidable, Ye Qing actually wants to meet him soon. He wants revenge for Huangfu Ziyu!

As dusk approached, Ye Qing and his party finally returned to Shenchuan City. Black Bear arranged for Tianfu and the others to rest at the hospital, while Ye Qing hurried over to Li Lianshan, looking for Old Wang Ba.

However, upon arriving, Ye Qing heard no good news. Li Lianshan also sat in the office with a frustrated look. Seeing Ye Qing return, Li Lianshan immediately stood up and said, ”Ye Zi, finally you’re back. Let me tell you, I’ve been looking for you. I can’t find Old Wang Ba. Cheng Shuang and I have searched the whole of Shenchuan City all day, but we can’t find the old bastard. You know, he’s unpredictable!”

”That bastard probably figured I was looking for him for something!” Ye Qing gritted his teeth. He had been worried about this on the way, afraid he wouldn’t find that old scoundrel. He didn’t expect to return and find it true. One can never guess the ways of that old scoundrel. Despite his usual obnoxious demeanor, after running around for so many years, he has learned how to stay hidden. This resolves the problem!

”That bastard! He probably guessed I was after him for something!” Ye Qing gritted his teeth. Under normal circumstances, he wouldn’t be so anxious to find him. But since this involves the safety of Huangfu Ziyu, he can’t stay calm this time.

”This bastard, he probably guessed I was looking for him for something!” Ye Qing growled through gritted teeth. Normally, he wouldn’t be in such a rush to find him. But since this involves Huangfu Ziyu’s safety, Ye Qing could not remain calm.

Li Lianshan, sitting tensely in his office, stood up at once when he saw Ye Qing return and said, ”Ye Zi, you’re finally back. Let me tell you, no matter what, we must find that old scoundrel. Zi Yu’s safety depends on it!”

”That bastard, if he doesn’t come back, he’ll end up in jail waiting. This old scoundrel is too untrustworthy; we’ll have to think of a way to deal with him!”
