Urban Martial Saint

Ten miles, which would normally mean nothing to Ye Qing. However, in present-day Liaoshen City, with heavy snow flying and knee-deep accumulation, walking through the snow was quite challenging for Ye Qing.

This stretch took Ye Qing over an hour to cover, before finally reaching the vicinity of the Li Family. Fortunately, there were no unexpected incidents along the way, nor did he encounter any of the Li Family members. It seemed their security was not that tight.

Outside the Li Family Courtyard was a vast forest. Ye Qing hid among the trees and carefully observed the situation of the Li Family. The Li Family in the daytime was clearly not as lively as at night. Moreover, after so many cars last night, at this moment there weren’t any inside the Li Family, presenting a semblance of serenity typical of a Martial Arts Family.

Apparently, the Northern Li Family was completely different from the Xihang Shen Family. The Shen Family members mostly stayed within the Shen Family Manor. But the Li Family members seemed to be out during the day, only returning at night. Moreover, the nights were brightly lit, often bustling till dawn. This hardly resembled a martial arts family, but rather seemed like a private club.

Ye Qing had long known that the Li Family had changed, but he never expected it to turn out this way. Thankfully, there weren’t many people during the day. After observing for half an hour, Ye Qing didn’t notice any signs of movement within the Li Family Courtyard. It seemed that most of the Li Family members reveled at night and were probably resting during the day.

This situation suited Ye Qing perfectly. If the Li Family was bustling both day and night, how could Ye Qing search for the fool?

During his visit last night, Ye Qing had thoroughly familiarized himself with the Li Family’s layout. Therefore, Ye Qing already had a plan on how to infiltrate the Li Family.

He slowly circled around the Li Family Courtyard and reached the northwest corner. At this spot, there was a cliff not more than five meters from the courtyard wall. Approaching the Li Family Courtyard from here was less likely to be discovered.

After carefully ensuring that no one was watching, Ye Qing swiftly leapt to the courtyard wall’s edge. Despite the slippery snow, Ye Qing was not who he once was. With a running start and jump, he leapt nearly two meters high, touched the wall briefly with his right foot, and partly launched further upwards, managing to grasp the top of the courtyard wall.

Although the courtyard wall’s top was covered with snow, it didn’t hinder Ye Qing from leveraging it. He applied slight pressure and lifted himself up, directly climbing onto the wall. Looking down, the courtyard was still empty and vacuous, ensuring no one would notice Ye Qing.

Quietly and silently scaling down the courtyard wall, Ye Qing immediately moved along the flowerbed to the back of a villa. Although no one was around, it was still the Li Family Courtyard, and Ye Qing didn’t want any unexpected encounters here.

Reaching the edge of the villa, Ye Qing pressed himself against the wall and listened. The villa was silent; it appeared empty. Yet, Ye Qing remained cautious, secretly approaching the rear window, and peered inside to see a woman asleep in bed.

Beside the bed were some vomit remnants; it seemed the woman had drunk too much and hadn’t woken up yet. Scattered across the floor lay some clothes and used tissues, clearly indicating what had transpired here before.

Seeing no one else in the room, Ye Qing stealthily entered through the window. Observing the Li Family Courtyard, there was little movement between the villas. This villa seemed to only host the sleeping woman, and Ye Qing intended to wake her and forcefully inquire about the fool’s whereabouts.

However, just as he entered the room, Ye Qing suddenly heard the sound of flushing from the bathroom. His expression changed, indicating there was another person in the room, currently in the bathroom. That person’s activity had gone unnoticed until now.

Hearing the bathroom noises, Ye Qing realized the person inside would soon be out. It was already too late for Ye Qing to retreat through the window, so he quickly stepped back and hid behind the curtains. The drapes were large, providing Ye Qing with ample concealment, making it difficult for anyone to detect him even with a careful look.

Just after Ye Qing swiftly hid, the bathroom door opened, and a nearly naked man walked out. Although the temperature outside was freezing cold at twenty degrees below zero, the indoor temperature was high, rendering even shorts comfortable.

The man appeared somewhat weary, likely having been up late the previous night. Approaching the bed and seeing the sleeping woman, he unexpectedly lifted the blanket, exposing her naked body.

The woman’s figure was impressive, with a slender waist, ample chest, and perky buttocks, perfectly fitting the type that fuels a man’s primal desire.

The man slapped the woman’s buttocks, instantly waking her. Seeing the man, she coquettishly exclaimed, ”What are you doing? I still want to sleep, stop bothering me!”

”It’s already past three in the afternoon, and you’re still sleeping?” The man laughed, saying, ”This is my house after all. Aren’t you afraid others will see and start gossiping about us?”

”Hmph, if you’re not afraid, why should I be?” the woman said, straightening her chest. ”Even if there’s gossip, it’d be about you. The younger brother seducing Third Sister-in-law.”

Hearing this, Ye Qing was stunned, thinking they were a couple. Unexpectedly, he overheard such scandalous content. This couple was indeed committing adultery, and the woman was the man’s sister-in-law? The Li Family was indeed overly extravagant!

”Hmph, so what?” The man sneered coldly, saying, ”I’ve seduced many sisters-in-law. Who can do anything to me? Don’t forget, the Li Family finances are all under my father’s control!”

”I told you, those flirts definitely had an affair with you, and you wouldn’t admit it. Now, you’re speaking the truth!” The woman sat up and grabbed the man’s ear, persistently asking, ”Tell me, do you like them or me?”

The man immediately laughed, saying, ”That’s a no-brainer. With your fantastic figure, do you think I’d like anyone else?”

Hearing this, the woman proudly raised her chest, saying, ”At least you can recognize quality!”

The man laughed heartily, hugged the woman, saying, ”Actually, from the day you entered this family, I liked you. But back then, my father didn’t control the family, so I dared to think but not to act. Now it’s different; my father holds all the financial control. Sister-in-law, you don’t need to go back anymore. Even if Third Brother knows, what can he do?”

”That’s not entirely true,” the woman said with slight concern. ”Even if Fifth Uncle controls the finances, the Family Head is still Second Uncle Li Changshan. He’s still in charge. If truly provoked, I fear there’ll be no good end for us!”

Hearing this, Ye Qing’s heart skipped a beat. He had heard from Du Yongwu that the current Li Family Head, Li Changshan, was the younger brother of Northern Fist King Li Changqing. Finally, they had mentioned Li Changshan, and Ye Qing was curious to learn about his situation in the Li Family. How could he, being Third Master Li’s younger brother, let the family fall into its present state?

The man sneered dismissively, ”Hmph, Li Changshan, he’s like a clay idol fording a river, unable to protect himself, let alone control me!”

Hearing this, the woman perked up, asking, ”Hey, I heard a few days ago that the top disciple of Northern Martial Zen is coming to challenge the Li Family. Is that true?”

”Of course it’s true!” The man replied, ”Haven’t you noticed the whole Li Family bustling around these days? They’re busy with this matter.”

”Is that top disciple of Northern Martial Zen really that formidable?” The woman curiously asked, ”Second Uncle’s strength isn’t weak, and yet a junior dares to challenge him. Isn’t that a bit too overconfident?”

”If it were before, that top disciple definitely wouldn’t be Li Changshan’s match. But now the situation is different.” The man explained, ”From what I know, half a month ago, there was an encounter between Li Changshan and that top disciple. Since then, Li Changshan hasn’t been up to par. Not to mention that he’s in no condition for combat, even if he could fight, he’s still an elder. How could he spar with a junior? As it stands, none of the current Li Family second-generation can match the top disciple of Northern Martial Zen. This battle is already lost without fighting. Are you happy now?”

”Holding the Li Family’s entire financial reins, my father will naturally become the new Family Head. By then, my father will have the final say over the whole Li Family. Then you can live here as long as you want without anyone daring to interfere. Isn’t that something to celebrate?”
