Urban Martial Saint

Prince Nalan’s Inner Strength was astonishing, and the power of this palm strike was terrifying, causing Joyous Monk to spit out two mouthfuls of blood.

Joyous Monk was considered strong, immediately turning his head and lifting the Seven-Star Ancient Sword in his hand, slashing several times consecutively. However, as he turned his head, Prince Nalan had already quickly shifted to another side, again moving behind him. When he turned around again, he still couldn’t see Prince Nalan.

Seeing Prince Nalan’s ghostly movement technique, Helian Tiehua frowned. He knew Prince Nalan’s strength was formidable, but he didn’t expect Prince Nalan to have such a move, unbelievably fast, making it impossible to catch him. It seemed Joyous Monk’s defeat was inevitable!

”What’s... what’s going on?” Ye Qing couldn’t help but ask. How could anyone be this fast? Was this a ghost?

”The ultimate martial arts in the world are unbreakable, only speed prevails!” the monk said profoundly, pointing at Prince Nalan, ”This bastard is actually using the method of Qimen Dunjia. It seems like he’s very fast, but in reality, he’s just following the positions of the Eight Trigrams. It’s just like the Stone Formation at the entrance of Shen Family Manor. Once inside, one wrong step can make all the difference. A correct step might directly take you out of the formation. It looks mysterious, but it is actually the crystallization of ancient wisdom. In the Eight Trigrams, taking the right position can yield the effect of skipping ten or a hundred steps at a time. If you study Qimen Dunjia deeply and have excellent Qinggong, you can achieve it too.”

With this explanation, Ye Qing was even more puzzled because he didn’t understand Qimen Dunjia. However, thinking of the Stone Formation at the entrance of Shen Family Manor, it indeed was similar. Such a small stone formation, with a diameter of no more than fifty meters, but once people walked inside, they could get lost. Such was the power of Qimen Dunjia. Ye Qing didn’t expect that Qimen Dunjia could be applied to martial arts with such wondrous effects. It seemed the treasures left by the ancestors were truly amazing!

Joyous Monk clearly didn’t understand these matters of Qimen Dunjia either. He repeatedly received several palm strikes, suffered severe internal injuries, and was clearly unable to resist anymore.

The Nalan family members were incredibly excited upon seeing this situation, cheering continuously. In this battle, Prince Nalan’s victory was already beyond doubt, and his reputation would continue to resound!

”Blood debts should be repaid with blood!” Prince Nalan walked up to Joyous Monk and calmly said, ”The blood debt from fifteen years ago should be repaid now.”

As Prince Nalan spoke, he reached out to grab Joyous Monk’s neck. At this moment, the monk next to Ye Qing suddenly rushed forward, raising his fist to punch at Prince Nalan.

No one expected someone like Cheng Yaojin to suddenly burst in at this moment—a person dressed in female attire, yet looking more manly than a man—which even took a stealthy attack at Prince Nalan. Was this person asking for death?

However, Prince Nalan dared not underestimate him in the slightest. He quickly stood up straight and, facing the monk’s punch, directly countered with a punch of his own.

Their fists collided in the air. The monk was sent flying backward by Prince Nalan’s punch. Nonetheless, the monk moved swiftly, grabbing Joyous Monk by the collar as he retreated, dragging him along, and headed straight towards the nearby window.

There weren’t many people on this side, so the monk, taking Joyous Monk with him, rushed out of the window without any hindrance. They then heard a scolding voice from outside, but the sound gradually faded away, indicating that the monk had already gone far.

This sudden situation left everyone present stunned, including Ye Qing. He certainly didn’t expect the monk to come here to rescue Joyous Monk. What was the meaning of this? Now, the monk had made enemies with the Nalan family. But the most crucial point was that the monk came in with Ye Qing and the others. Would the Nalan family hold Ye Qing and his companions accountable for this?

Ye Qing turned to look at Prince Nalan, startled by what he saw.

Earlier, Prince Nalan exchanged punches with the monk, and the monk was sent flying. Ye Qing thought the monk had suffered a loss and was no match for Prince Nalan. However, seeing Prince Nalan now, he realized he was mistaken. Although Prince Nalan hadn’t retreated, the floor beneath his feet was cracked, his feet sunk into the ground, with the tops of his feet parallel to the ground. This showed that Prince Nalan also faced not a small reaction force. He received the force from top down, so he didn’t step back but instead cracked the floor.

Looking at the extent of the floor’s cracks and how deeply Prince Nalan’s feet sunk in, Ye Qing could roughly speculate that Prince Nalan didn’t gain any advantage. Prince Nalan and the monk seemed to have similar strength, which was astonishing.

Ye Qing had long known that the monk was not simple, but he didn’t expect the monk to be so formidable. However, this old guy, despite his strength, was unreliable in his actions. Not only did he take Joyous Monk with him, but he also took the Seven-Star Ancient Sword. Most importantly, he left Ye Qing and the others here to take the blame. What was the meaning of this, wasn’t this just screwing them over?

Nalan Lie also noticed Prince Nalan’s situation, was shocked, and quickly came over, asking, ”Father, should we send someone to pursue them?”

”No need!” Prince Nalan directly shook his head, giving Ye Qing a deep look, ”Joyous Monk already suffered severe internal injuries and won’t dare to show up again for a while. You don’t need to worry anymore!”

At this moment, Helian Tiehua also came over, looked at the two deep footprints behind Prince Nalan, and said gravely, ”Could that monk just now be the legendary character?”

”It should be him!” Prince Nalan slowly nodded and said, ”The strongest monk from Xiaolin Temple, the senior brother of Bloody Monk and Joyous Monk, Shijia!”

”Shijia!” Helian Tiehua took a deep breath, visibly taken aback by the name. He looked at Prince Nalan and said gravely, ”Wasn’t he from the last century? It’s said that even in the time of Divine Doctor An Shiping, there was this figure. If he lived until today, he’d be at least one hundred thirty years old!”

”Taoist Wuji, Buddhist Shakya!” Prince Nalan frowned tightly and said gravely, ”Divine Doctor An Shiping led an entire era, and only the names of these two people could rival Divine Doctor An Shiping in that era. But who would’ve thought Buddhist Shakya would still be alive!”

As he said this, Prince Nalan gave Helian Tiehua a deep look and said, ”If he truly is Shakya, then this world might be more chaotic than we imagined!”

Helian Tiehua didn’t respond; this news was equally shocking to him. People from the last era have emerged in this one, anyone would be alarmed! Moreover, the most crucial concern was whether this person was friend or foe, leaving people greatly uneasy.

Although Prince Nalan and Helian Tiehua were in conversation, both kept their voices low and used Inner Strength to keep their voices focused in a line. Therefore, only they could hear their conversation, while the others around them were unaware of Shakya’s existence.

People were actually discussing how a neither male nor female individual suddenly appeared and took Joyous Monk away, aligning themselves as enemies with the Nalan family. They should know, the Nalan family was determined to kill Joyous Monk. Rescuing Joyous Monk was practically seeking death. Yet, they didn’t know, this sudden appearance of the monk shocked both Helian Tiehua and Prince Nalan!

Since Joyous Monk was rescued by Shakya, the banquet had come to an abrupt end. However, Helian Tiehua remained at the scene, while Ye Qing wanted to leave but was half-invited, half-coerced by the Nalan family to stay.

In fact, neither Prince Nalan nor Helian Tiehua intended to keep Ye Qing and his friends there. They, after all, were established martial arts experts, and Ye Qing and his friends were merely rising stars. Though the family had conflicts with Ye Qing’s group, the matter was primarily to inquire about the monk. However, Ye Qing knew little about the monk either.

Learning the truth about that monk from Ye Qing was fruitless, so Helian Tiehua didn’t linger around and left first. Initially, Ye Qing intended to leave as well, but he was half-persuaded, half-forced by the Nalan family to stay.

Upon hearing Old Wang Ba’s name, both Helian Tiehua and Prince Nalan laughed, indicating they knew Old Wang Ba. Realizing he’d long slipped away, even as Ye Qing and the others were entering the hotel. Looking at it now, they had no idea where he went. This bastard probably knew something would happen when the monk came in, so he didn’t come along at all and ran away beforehand. Now he was already gone without a trace, and they had no idea where to find him.

With no further information about the monk from Ye Qing and his group, Helian Tiehua didn’t linger and left soon after. Initially, he wanted to take Huangfu Ziyu with him, but even with Helian Tiehua’s care, Huangfu Ziyu remained somewhat wary of him. She preferred to stay with Ye Qing, and so, the three of them stayed behind. The most crucial thing was that he publicly announced that Huangfu Ziyu was his niece, thereby signaling to the world that anyone daring to challenge Huangfu Ziyu would be looking for trouble with him in the future.

Ultimately, the unfolding events caught everyone off guard, including Ye Qing, who never expected the monk to arrive with the intention of rescuing Joyous Monk. This meant the monk had indeed made an enemy of the Nalan family. However, the crucial part was the connection with Ye Qing and his companions, raising the question of whether the Nalan family would hold them responsible for this incident.
